Enter the ground floor and find yourself in the traditional cottage lounge with a wood burner inside a stone fireplace, comfortable seating and doors that open onto the terrace. Continue into the country-style kitchen with wooden surface tops and a dining table with seating for four. Completing this level is a convenient utility cupboard plus a family bathroom with a walk-in shower. Climb the stairs to reach another family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a super-king-size zip and link and a single room. On the second floor is the double bedroom with river glimpses and a TV. Relax on the furniture outside on the sun-trap terrace, which is accessed by metal steps.
The prime location of this property means you’ll be spoilt for choice by the selection of dog-welcoming restaurants and pubs around you while also having the riverside just outside your door (all within 500 metres). Stroll along the esplanade to reach the historical Whitehouse Quay and Fowey Ferry Landing (less than 0.5 miles) – from here you can catch the boat to the small village of Polruan (1 mile) and follow the coastal path to the caine-friendly National Trust Lantic Bay (2 miles). Continue past the ferry landing to reach Readymoney Beach and the 1530s St Catherine’s Castle (both 0.5 miles).
