Fantastic view and location

Great location - just steps away from the white sand and blue water. The view is perfect from the unit with its wall of windows and sliding doors. This unit is large - bigger than most condos we’ve stayed in throughout our many visits to Fort Walton Beach. The unit and property was clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay here again

Roomy with great amenities and attentive management

Great spot right on the water. This property has lots of stellar reviews and has earned every one of them. There's not much I can add to them, but I'll try. Great location on Okaloosa Island between Fort Walton Beach and Destin. The second floor was great as it got us up high enough to see the beach over the dunes, but not so high we complained about climbing stairs while on vacation, ha! The beach chairs and umbrella would cost $50/day but are included which is a great perk! Our teenage boys enjoyed the beach toys including the body boards. We had an issue with TV remotes and there was someone in our room addressing the issue within an hour of calling them. The washer and dryer are great additions to get the salt water out of our swimsuits before packing them back up and flying across the country. They also helped us pack a little lighter (well, some of us anyway...). Parking was a breeze as was checkout. We especially appreciated the 2 double beds in the 2nd bedroom. It was nice for our kids to have room to stretch out in their own bed. Our only recommendation is to sleep with the bedroom doors open to aid with airflow at night since there are no ceiling fans and the bedrooms got much warmer than the living room when we kept the doors closed.

Poor communication

Was originally booked in Unit 208, that had sofa sleeper, was contacted day before check in and was told unit would not be ready was switched to 605 no sleeper, I asked for compensation for my inconvenience got no reply very disappointed. So much for common courtesy

Nice condo, great beach location

Very comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. We had everything we needed. The beach is very accessible. Walk downstairs and across the walkway and you’re there. The chair/umbrella is great and the pool is great when the seaweed is bad (often on our visit).

Good time

This is the third time we have stayed at the Surf Dweller. The condo was nice and there were no issues. The other condos at SD we stayed at in the past offered more of the little things such as beach towels and things of that nature which were nice. But overall it was an enjoyable stay and we will come back.

The condo was well represented in the VRBO app. It was clean spacious and they provided more amenities/necessities Dan they had even said. Anytime that we needed to contact the owner or manager we always received a response within hours if not minutes even when we were still planning the trip. I am the balcony overlooks the gulf and the beach chairs are awesome. It’s not some thing you got from many other rental companies. Great job Brooks and Shorey! We have stayed in numerous other places and a few of them were definitely misrepresented but this is not one of those. Do not hesitate to book this place. If I had to come up with one drawback, it would be that some of the property owners who live in the complex are not super friendly to the renters. However, it was a limited few and most people we encountered were great.

Awesome Place With Beautiful Views

Everything about this condo was perfect, from booking to check in to check out. The condo was clean, and obviously well cared for. The view is almost indescribably beautiful. The floorplan is open and airy, the beds are extremely comfortable. We loved it!

Quick Getaway

The condo was awesome and larger than it appeared in the pictures. The cleaning crew was finished earlier than our check in and we were contacted by management allowing us to check in early. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. We will be back!

The view was exceptional!!

We were pleasantly surprised at how roomy our place was. We especially enjoyed the large balcony. Our view was incredible, and there was plenty of room for all of us! The one problem was not enough blankets for the couch bed. We called housekeeping and got it taken care of fairly quickly.

Extraordinary

Our 3 generation family stayed here for a week in September and we couldn’t be more pleased. This condo on the second floor has everything . Close to anything you might like to do, spectacular views and all the comforts of home. There were even beach toys for the kids and reading material for adults. We would definitely come back

Perfect location!!

This unit was very clean and a very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only thing I can think to add to this unit would be one more pedestal fan for the second bedroom - but we did fine without it. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

Fantastic Beach Getaway

It's possible that the condo was overkill for our small family (2 parents, 2 kids) but the location couldn't be beat. The lovely beach view from the balcony, the convenient access to the beach itself, the pool at the condos, the chairs on the beach itself. It was a perfect location for our first family beach vacation. Wasn't expecting the closet full of beach toys and boogie boards, but it was a welcome surprise. Added to it with some sand toys we brought with us but didn't need to bring back.

Great beach location

Surf Dweller is a great location. The condo is very large for a 2 bedroom. Large balcony is also a big plus for us. The beach is the best white soft sand and emerald water you can find.
