Picture Perfect

My family had a great stay, wish we had booked it a few days extra. Location is perfect and most importantly the amenities available for the whole family whether it's fishing, swimming, barbecuing...there's really no other reason for you to leave. Balcony was lovely, able to enjoy the sunrise/sunset. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

Worked great for our family. The bunk beds are not for adults and the room is small and warmer than others so consider that room for kid’s only. The location and pool and lazy river was very nice and access to beach was fine to walk over overpass to access.

The location is perfect. Lots of places nearby. The room once we walked in had a horrible smell familiar to urine and mildew. We immediately opened all doors and aired it out. Kitchen was clean. Fridge was nice and clean. The bathroom plastic shower curtain had mold on it. I tried contacting the maintenence manager/office manager and got no response. I went to the store and bought myself a new shower curtain liner and also air fresheners to plug in . I rewashed all bed sheets and blankets and felt so much better. The pool was very nice and we had a great time there. I never heard back from maintenence or the office manager.

Nice room but!

We enjoyed ourselves & the resort is very clean & a very good location. But the other couples bed, the 2nd bedroom was very uncomfortably. Needs a new mattress, it was very small. All the TV's were unhooked from cable when we arrived. My husband hooked them backup.

The condo overall was maintained and clean , it could use a deep cleaning on the tile floors and the kitchen needs to have utensils added to the drawers there was a bare minimum of silverware . The pool area and grounds are very enjoyable

why are you contacting me now. you would not return my calls while i needed assistance in my room.

* called phone number for maintenance assistance several times, no one returned our calls. * t v in living room does not work. * the matress in the first bed room when you walk in the door is in terrible shape, needs to be replaced. * access door code doesn't work half the time. i will not be staying here again. room is very over priced.

Great location and amenities!

We had a great time staying here. It's a short walk to the beach and the restaurants on the pier. I also really appreciated how communicative the property manager was. We needed a couple extra parking passes and we got them quickly. Definitely recommend this place!

Great place to stay!

The condo was exactly what we needed for our girls weekend. We loved the lazy river and the easy walk to the beach. The only issue we had was a couple nights the upstairs neighbor decided to do some home improvement way to late.

Beautiful property

The condo was beautiful and very clean. The lazy river and pool are amazing. The location and bridge to the beach was great. Short drive to all the restaurants on Destin Harbour. The management staff was very responsive to the one issue that we had and tried their absolute best to resolve it as quickly as they could.

We had the best tume!

If you ate looking for a spectacular condo you found it. It is spacious, clean, convenient. Because of covid we cooked most of our meals in the kitchen. It has everything you need. Clean up is a breeze. If you have kids, the lazy river will keep them busy. They offer a beautiful pier to fish from. We used the wonderful exercise room almost every morning. The location is perfect. Close to resturants and grocery markets. Fort Walton is close to Destin and Navarre and Pensacola Beach. The beaches are beautiful. The beds are comfy. There is a recliner!! Very important in our family. The balcony overlooks the lazy river and the bay. You will be happy you chose 602 Sandpiper.

Vacation

The overall experience was great! Destin west is a great facility. Tons of amenities for families who stay there. We did come across an elevator issue during our stay. The property manager contacts us about this problem and offered us help if we needed it. Would have preferred Destin west fix the problem while we were there as that could’ve been a serious issue for some people. Can’t wait to stay again. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in fort Walton beach.

Great getaway

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location was good. The pool was nice (hot tub didn’t work on last day). We slept in master bedroom. We could definitely hear pool noise late at night and early morning - so keep that in mind if you are a light sleeper. The bed was comfortable. The jetted tub was nice. The shower was sufficient. The ice maker did not work - we didn’t call for it to be fixed because we didn’t need it. We bought a bag of ice. The bedroom with the bunk beds - we noted some cosmetic things that could be fixed to make it look nicer. Emailed those to owner but did not hear back. Unfortunately - due to the hurricane only one elevator worked so we did wait a bit for that. The garage with beach gear was really nice to have. The condo only has a few beach towels so bring your own! It is a bit of a walk to the beach. Also, we weren’t aware that there is very little beach space to use unless you walk past another resort to the state park. What looked like it should have been Destin West’s beach was full of chairs and umbrellas that are $40 to rent. We ended up renting from the condo next door- Sea Spray because it was less crowded and expensive. Overall we enjoyed our stay just a few things that could have been a tad better.

Nice unit

This was our 3rd time staying at Destin West and we have have always booked Julie's condos! They are decorated beautifully, Clean and the property is beautiful! We will be back next year!
