Place was great! Loved the location.The only thing, if I had to mention one thing, would be the condo could have used more lighting in the bedroom and over the kitchen table. Other than that, really nice.

Great location

This location was great for our two great great granddaughters third floor view over lazy river was a plus. Plenty of room and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay again.

Destin West Sandpiper 308

Stayed here for a trip with friends & had the best time!! The unit was super clean and had tons of space. Super close to the pool and not a bad walk at all to get to the beach. Check in & out was easy and every time I had to communicate with the host they responded super quick.

Great stay

We love going to Destin west- this condo was very clean and a perfect location. The room was right across from the stairs - which brought you RIGHT to the swimming pool. The beach was jsut a 5 min walk over the bridge, which was also connected to the resort. The pools and lazy river are always very clean. The condo came with shampoo, conditioner and soap- all small samples. It also was stocked with all the dishes you need, a sponge, dish soap, and 2 pods for dishwasher. The washer and dryer had two pods for it. The condo had three kids beds, a pull out couch, a queen size bed, and a recliner. This condo was a great one because of the location being so close to everything. If you’re debating on a condo- this is a good choice - you’re right in the middle and can see everything at the pools from your room.

New renovation and very clean.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was very nice. But it was unfortunate the ice maker didn’t work. It being so HOT this summer it was much needed. The master toilet ran constantly. Both need repair. Which both looks new. I’ve been renting at Destin west for 11 years. This year I was shocked at the landscape. Weeds and grass over takes the flowers. Trash along the pool. I actually pulled a whole crab out the pool.The pool employees do not clean very well. No vacuuming was done. Only dip net was used. The renters across the way had a group of teens that ran wild. Cursing and fighting. Playing on the elevator. Reported it but nothing was done. Met the president of the HOA the first day. Wish I had ran into him on the last. I will be back because I really love the place. Hopefully DW will get it together before my return. Maybe the condo owners will speak up before the place gets worse.

Family Beach Vacation

This condo was very clean. Check in and out was a smooth process. Water pressure was good. They supplied extra bath towels, small shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soaps. Pools were clean and had nice lounge chairs and tables. The bridge over the busy highway made reaching the beach simple. Beach was beautiful and only a short walk away. If you have many beach items I would recommend a wagon. It was a great beach vacation for our family. Our teenagers enjoyed all the variety between pools and beach. I would absolutely recommend this condo.

Recent stay at our favorite place

This is probably my 4th or 5th time staying at destin west. The check in process was the best it’s been out of all 4-5 times instructions were clear. This property is very close to pool you don’t even need to take the elevator bc the right night to stair well where it’s only one flight of stairs. Would recommend this property for sure!

The chain lock was broken on the door. The door needs another type of locking device. Ex. Swing lock on top. Easy to break into. This made me very uncomfortable.

Things normally in a condo we rent in Destin west that was not found here.

Over all our stay was wonderful and love the condo! But if I was to give some friendly constructive criticism, due to us booking at the Destin west almost yearly, there were a couple items that normally are provided with your rental. Salt and peppper shackers. Normally this is in every condo so didn’t purchase when stocking for for the week. Or a small “junk drawer” per day lol that would have a pen to write with along some scissors and note pad. And only one garbage bag available for the entire week. Like I said these are small things that normally are provided that threw us off a little bit and had to make extra trips to Walmart types stores. But the condo was beautiful and located in a good spot. We enjoyed our stay!! Thank you for the smooth check in progress.

Family vacation

I was a little nervous booking because this was our first time with VRBO. A week before we left we got our check in instructions via email. They were super easy and our condo was ready early. The condo was very nice and perfect for our family of 5. There was a paper plate and some clothes left under the trundle bed in the bunk room but other than everything was clean.

Please knock before entering

Rental was fine but owner has no love for it. Very dusty I didn't know you're supposed to provide your own toilet paper. We had half rolls in both we're first timers, soap dish rusty in the shower, rug has had it in the living room, bed pillows flat as a pancake. Not bad property though. When we first got there they sent us a early entrance code, next thing we know a man came talking about checking the condo HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOCK😲 called next day because we were running out of toilet paper in both bathrooms. I started taking pictures I sent the number I had one he finally called back after I'd left messages he said he'd address it. I told him don't clean it now because of my allergies just wait till we leave. Wednesday she comes to clean SHE WALKED IN AND DIDN'T KNOCK!!! AGAIN 😲😲 She left came back had her language app on we told her we aren't leaving until tomorrow so don't worry about it. So Wednesday was the last day there had fun laid down woke up during the night and the dust in that corner was clean 😲😲 they had come into the condo while we were gone!!! The whole condo needs a thorough cleaning and dusting not just that corner. I feel kinda weird and eery like when did they come in?? I'll be back before it gets cold I won't be staying in 308 Again 🥺 that's for sure. We pay too much money for this I'll definitely be calling my P.O. friends for referrals next time.

Easy, Easy!

We received an email a few days before check on with key codes for the property, the gym, etc putting us at ease. The condo was exactly what was advertised. One of the details that is never mentioned in a review, but is a plus for me- good water pressure in the showers! Anyway, the pool, hot tub and lazy river were right outside of the room. The beach was about a 5 minute walk across the elevated walk bridge which is important if you are renting in prime season. No complaints here. Thank you!

The pool area is fantastic. The Bay was wonderful fishing. Arcade, Publix, Restaurants all within immediate area. I would stay here again.
