We arrived early to the property around 3:15PM. Check-in was 4PM. We found the cleaners were still there and left shortly after our arrival. Upon inspecting the unit, we found dirt, hair and food debris all over the unit. The bed linens in some of the rooms were stained. There was trash and fish guts all over the backyard. All of the external garbage cans were full and covered with flies. The outside of the property stunk of trash and fish. There is a tree in the front yard making contact with a powerline causing arching (very unsafe situation). There were holes in the wood paneling in an upstairs bedroom. Wood paneling in other parts of the upstairs was bulging and cracking. The upstairs smelled of mildew. The back patio was disgusting, including a grill that looked to have never seen a cleaning. There were dirty cookie sheets left on the outside grill. Regarding the management company, I contacted them immediately and waited to hear back. We provided photo evidence of the above mentioned situations to our contact. Cleaners were redispatched the following day to fix the inside. When I asked about the outside situation, I was told "the cleaners are only responsible for the inside".. great, who's taking care of the trassh and fish guts and overflowing garbage cans? The interaction with the management company felt very transactional that lacked any empathy or remorse for the situation. There has been no follow up or attempt to reconcile the situation.
