The unit was ok for what we needed in terms of space and amenities. The host neglected to share that there had recently been water damage in the unit, as evidenced by the stains on the ceiling in the dining area and living room and large dehumidifier that was loud and inconveniently located. There was also a damp, borderline musty smell throughout the unit, despite the dehumidifier loudly running for the majority of the stay. Was very disappointed by the lack of communication about this as it impacted our group's stay.

Garbage stay away from this unit and Chris he is horrible on every level and left us with a unit that had no working bathroom lights, the run around blaming the property and it is definitely not remodeled with disgusting windows one can not see out water leaks in this unit

Relaxing Time on the Lazy River

The property was as pictured. It is already showing wear from the advertised renovation. I imagine it gets a lot of use. It was somewhat awkward being above the lower walk-out units as the balcony overlooked their patio and grill area. The lazy river was the highlight although if you are early to bed or have little ones it can get very loud at night. It closes at 10 P.M. which was nice. We found several nights the party moved from the lazy river to the balconies and patios. The condo itself was basic. We had to setup the TVs as the cable cords in all of the bedrooms were unplugged. Smart TVs would have been a nice upgrade for all of the TVs. The humidity inside the condo was a bit much. Everything felt damp all of the time. We kept the doors closed as instructed but it was always wet inside. The manager requests communication via text and takes a while to reply if you prefer communicating through VRBO as I did. Primary shower fixtures need updating, they are corroded and could easily cut someone’s hand. We did not use the jetted tub. The light switches work, although they too could have been updated in the renovation. Primary windows are cloudy taking away from the view. Doors, front and back, are very hard to open. I provided a list of lightbulbs to the manager that were out which did add to the worn out look and feel. I would book again at the Destin West, but I’m not sure if I would book this particular one again.

Great stay. One pool (the biggest one) was not heated but the beach, resort and condo are perfect. A little hiccup with the resort management and painting the floors, but Communication with Chris was good so it made up for it. I highly recommend renting here.

Updated comfortable and clean

We booked this condo for a beach volleyball tournament and it was perfect! The communication from day 1 was quick and thorough. I had some questions as we booked several units through different companies and hoped for them to be close. This unit was the nicest that we booked. It was more updated and had a great feel. It was very comfortable. The kitchen has everything we needed. It was a quick walk to the beach across the street through the sky bridge. Walking distance to food and bars. The lazy river and hot tubs were a hit. Will absolutely book this one again!

Presser Beach trip

We enjoyed the pool areas for the kids . Everything was in walking distance and this was very nice , So many sweet families all around enjoying all that you have to offer . We all agree the only change we would suggest is new rug in LR and new cleaning products for the floors. Other then this we had everything we needed. We would book again, particularly having kids, Great place to stay.

The property is nice. We loved the fact that we could swim in the gulf, in the bay, or the pools. The biggest flaw we saw was the cleanliness at check in. They charge alot for a cleaning fee and the condo should reflect that. Overall, we would definitly stay here again, we had a great time.

Fun spring break stay!

We really enjoyed our time at Destin West. Condo was clean and nicely decorated. Kids loved the lazy river, pools and hot tubs. The beach was beautiful! We enjoyed having The Boardwalk close by for dinners, drinks and ice cream. We would definitely stay there again!
