  • Beautifully decorated in a beachy decor. wall added for privacy to separate living room from the bedroom. Ground floor unit only steps from the pool (heated in the winter) Comfortable and cozy. Aproximately 13 miles of beautiful undeveloped beach next to the complex. We are the last condos on Santa Rosa Blvd. Security gate entrance, 2 pools, tennis courts, hot tub and workout room (all located a few steps from the the unit) Snow birds have plenty to keep them busy with Monday night at the movies, weekly bridge, bingo, and aerobics three times a week. The complex also has a banquet room for your special event. Located only two mile from the conference center and the Gulfarium. Beautifully styled with a Spanish look. Large grounds with plenty on palm trees for your evening walk.

Great little place

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and all appliances worked. The resort itself is older but it is very well kept. The pools were very clean and the water was perfect. The owner is very responsive to question. The Beach is about 300 yards away from the condo and beautiful. Only thing that could be changed is the bed its a full size and really needs updated to a queen. The Price for our stay was very fair for the region. Would definitely recommend the condo for couples.

Super nice resort and private. Condo was small for the four of us but we made it work! Pull out couch was a bit uncomfortable but we bought a topper and left it for future travelers! All in all we had a great time. Pool right outside the door and 4 minute walk to the beach. We will be back

Condo had everything we needed

We were set right down to beach chairs and tennis rackets, convenient location and all the details we needed for a worry free stay. The gate keepers @ Em Matador were very friendly and the neighbors was quite nice as well. It wasn’t 5 stars but neither was the rental cost, for the price you just couldn’t beat it.

Gorgeous condo!

First time being in a condo in Florida and it did not disappoint! The complex was safe and easy access to the beach. The condo itself was awesome with everything we needed (linens, towels, movies, beach gear). Check in was a breeze!! The only thing I would recommend would be a map/layout sheet of the complex in the condo. Other than that? The owners were great, all was clean, and we will definitely stay again!

Great place for a getaway!!

The liating was very accurate. The beach is a short walk across the parking lot. We also loaded up our stuff and parked closer to the beach to shorten our walk. We have a beach cart and it was easier to use the ramp then the ataira. LOL. The place was cute and clean. We had everything we needed and there were several restaurants close by to choose from when we did want to eat out. Thank you for everything!! I've already recommended this place to someone else.

Perfect for a couple but suitable for a family

El Matador is heaven on earth. I stay here every 4th of July!!!! This is my 2nd year at Patricia and Jan's condo and I'm as happy this year as I was last year. She has done was upgrades at the condo and it looks great. Step out the back door to a LARGE pool, tennis courts, and grills, or out the front door to the sauna and hot tub. Beach chair service is available to purchased. We rent a boat every year and go up the Chotawatchee bay past The El Matador to several little private islands. It truly is heaven on Earth. I'm ready to book next year.

Perfect Condo!

I love, love, LOVE this condo! It is perfect for a small family. It was very clean. It was beautifully decorated. I stayed in the condo with a 5 year old and a 15 year old. There was plenty of room for all of us. There is a very large pool just steps away from the condo. The complex has a coined laundry room just steps away. One of my favorite places to drink coffee in the morning was on the little back porch. The back porch has two tables with 4 chairs. The tennis courts and basketball courts are close also. The beach is about a 3-5 min walk from the condo. I had the best vacation with my grandchildren at this condo. I highly recommend it to couples or small families. You will not be disappointed. I plan to rent it again in the future.

Great stay!!

We had no issues! I didn't need the host for anything but felt like they could be easily reached if needed. Although, they seemed to have all the bases covered. The Condo was very nice. We cooked while there and all the cookware was provided. It was a little walk to the beach, but it was not unreasonable. With all of our beach gear in tow, we opted to just drive closer through the parking lot. It really was not an inconvenience at all and there were always parking spots available closer to the beach walk ups. There is a pool, laundry room, and gym right next to were we were staying so that was extremely convenient.

The overview

Good room for a good price! Little miscommunication on check in procedure but was settled before check in time. Had one huge cockroach in bathroom but no other problems flushed it down toilet hood to go! Definitely worth the price overall and location is within a few minute walk of the beach not to far from Destin either I would recommend

Adult vacation

The condo was better than the pictures described. Property owner was east to communicate with and responded to my questions promptly. Property was very nice and kept up with. Easy access to the beach and short drive to anything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect

The condo is perfect for couples. Location, location location. The private beach is AMAZING!!! We rented a pontoon boat from Marine Adventures which is literally .5 mile from the condo. We spent an entire day on a private beach!!!! Less than 10 minutes from Destin HarborWalk Village!!! Less than 5 minutes from Gulfarium!!!! 15 minutes from Pelican Adventures. Two great restaurants within 2 minutes Fubar and AJ'S. Patricia is an amazing host. Responds immediately and provides the cutest little place for her guest. We will definitely return next year.

Nice & cozy

Place was in a great location, close to the beach and next to the pool. Condo was clean and the bed was comfy. Shower could definitely use some more water pressure though. It also didn’t seem to have much of a hot water reserve either. Definitely would come back for another stay!

Condo is perfect for 2 people. It was clean, short distance to the pool and beach. We would be glad to come to this condo again in the future.
