    The sleeping arrangements in this unit are as follows: master bedroom - 1 king bed. Bunk beds in the hallway. Sleeper sofa in the living room. This unit sleeps 6.

    Gulf Dunes Condominiums is close to Fort Walton’s shopping and dining and a mere ten minutes from Destin. Stroll along the beach to the Okaloosa fishing pier or Boardwalk. Excellent beach condo!

This condo was perfect for us and the location was great too. Right on the beach and not overcrowded even on the 4th of July. The unit was clean and exactly as described online with an incredible view. We were sad to leave and will definitely be coming back to stay here again.

We intended to dine out, but the view was so beautiful we ordered a lot of take-out to enjoy the amazing view. The condo was clean and was ready for an early check-in. Our only suggestion is to replace the bedroom carpet with solid flooring such as tile or laminate. I feel that the carpet doesn't clean as well and isnt up to the same standards as the rest of the condo.

Reviewer Comments: Biggest issue was that the wi-fi was out for several days but TV still worked...good thing we had unlimited data!Condo overall was good although not stocked with items most others are such as salt and pepper....we were prepared as emails notified of this. However, it would have been better if we did t have to drag these items along on vacation! Location was amazing! Condo was cleaner than others we’ve stayed at and that was important. Everything was as expected. Good value for the price for spring break.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This 1BR condo was the perfect space for the 2 of us. Brooks and Shorey is an excellent property management group. We did encounter a few issues such as the bedroom has carpet and it smells of pet urine, backed up drains, and needs to be cleaned more throughly. I notified them and told them my concerns. They were quick to respond and offered to send maintenance for the drains. Hopefully they will make sure that the cleaners are properly cleaning the unit as well as convince the owner to remove the carpet and update the decor and such. As for the management group, they are awesome and we will book through them again. We were extremely happy with them from start to finish. They are a 5 star company.

The beach access was wonderful and the pool area was clean. The only set back we had was the group that stayed over the weekend overtook not only the pool but the entire outdoor atmosphere after 6:30 each night with their party. It is clesrly posted in multiple areas that loud behavior is not permitted but three of our evenings were spent surrounded by a house party that involved multiple units below 514 and their ridiculously loud music. The world is rough and I don’t like to be a complainer but the signs do no good. Aside from this our stay was very enjoyable

If you like to cook instead of going out everynight it has all the utensels, pans and bowls you could need. Not just a spatula, 1 knife and a large spoon. Plenty of towels and wash cloths. The two free beach chairs are just amazing to have. All you have to do is pack a cooler and sunscreen and go. Let me say the the pictures of the view are why we chose this condo and they do not do it justice! You can sit on that private balcony and just stare at it forever. They customer service is amazing as well. We made a complete "duh" move after checking out and Jessica and MaryAnn were nothing less than amazing when helping us out! We highly recommend this company and condo!

Another Week in Paradise!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just stayed at Gulf Dunes #514 again this year. We've rented this unit several times. You have to book it well in advance, otherwise you may not get the dates you want. It is always clean and well maintained. The location is great. There are so many restaurants nearby so you don't have to cross over into the Destin chaos unless you just want to. I wish they did not allow smoking on the balconies though because invariably, we get a chain smoker beside us, below us or nearby which makes it difficult to enjoy sitting out on the balcony. That is our only complaint. I'm not sure if they have rules against smoking on the balconies but if they do, they are not enforced. Of course the rental agency has no control over this nor is this a reflection on the unit itself but it is annoying for vacationers that want to sit on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean right in front of you.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view is amazing to wake up to every morning. We loved that the condo provides free chair and umbrella service. We never had a problem getting one, even in the afternoon. The condo itself was probably the cleanest one we have ever stayed in. The condo entry and bedroom are right by the elevator so it was very convenient. Much to my surprise however, we never heard it at night while sleeping. The couch is not very comfortable to relax on after a hard day at the beach (haha) but it works. Check in was ready by 4 and checkout was easy through the app. We didn't have any issues while we were there, with the exception of the wifi being cutoff the night before we checked out. That might be an issue if you have kids using a lot of screen time. We ate several times at the Boardwalk. The Crab Trap and Floyd's were good. Old Bay Steamers (just down the street) was our favorite. Make sure you get the crab stuffed mushrooms! They have excellent service. We also went to the Air Force Museum, it really makes you appreciate (even more)the jets flying over daily. We never tired of seeing that! We would definitely recommend this condo and Brooks and Shorey.

Condo for Two

My husband and I enjoyed our week-long stay. We have stayed at Gulf Dunes before and, once again, we were happy with the complex and its location on the beach. This condo has two full bathrooms, which makes getting ready so much easier. The balcony is far away enough from the pool that the pool activities aren’t an issue. Stewby’s location right across the street was another bonus! Our only negative would be the lack of blackout curtains in the bedroom. We created our own with a blanket, but it would be nice if the condo made that small change. Otherwise, great location, clean and nice condo, and quick, friendly help from the staff. We would definitely rent this condo again if traveling as only a couple.
