Beautiful, pristine unit perfect for a family of four!

Super spacious and beautifully decorated unit worked perfectly for us and our 2 teen/preteen sons. King master BR had a super comfy bed. Lovely view of the bay. The property is well-kept and the lazy river is great. Walk over a building and up a few floors to cross over to the beach. We moved this unit, and it had everything we needed.

Visiting Niece

We stayed for three days while visiting our niece who is stationed at Hurlburt Air Field. We had a great time relaxing on the patio and hanging by the pools/lazy river. The place was spotless, very clean and nicely decorated. Check-in was a breeze. We wore our pool bands when down at the pool, but no one ever asked to see them. Beds were comfortable and we watched the sun rise from the balcony in the master bedroom and set from the patio off the living room. Very relaxing. Just a helpful hint, they do not provide toilet paper or salt/pepper (which are some of the things you normally don't think you need to bring) so be sure to bring your own.

Quick beach getaway

The property was exactly as listed and perfect for our stay. We got in late the night of arrival but check in was super easy, great instructions for parking.The pool and lazy river were amazing. The ocean water wasn't good when we went so it was nice to have the pool and lazy river for my son to use most of the time. The walk to the ocean is super fast and easy. I suggest going more evening time (5pm and later) otherwise the private beach is completely crowded and covered as other condos are using the area too. That is nothing on the condo itself, just a suggestion when staying! We went in June so crowds were extra high. We booked this place super last minute as we decided to stay at a beach condo for 3 days on our drive back to Oklahoma from Disney World. The condo was well taken care of, had everything we needed and we felt at home on our little stay there. This is a place I will suggest to my clients when booking beach places in the area. Also, I have seen complaints of the pools/laxy river being dirty... we didnt have that issue. The wind blew a lot one day so there would be some stuff from the landscaping around in it, but it wasn't bad and they had it cleaned out by the next morning. Everything was beauitful and well taken care of for us.

Fun for toddler!

My husband, 2.5 year old son and I stayed in the condo and both sets of our parents stayed in the RV park. We had a great time. Pretty easy access to the beach and lots of pools to choose from. The condo was clean and very comfortable. We did a Walmart grocery pick up, which is incredibly convenient. Make sure to read the list of what to bring. We would definitely stay here again. Great communication.

Destin West #501 Great condo in a well maintained complex with great water features

Glenn and Peggy provided excellent instructions so there was no need to contact them during our stay. We knew exactly what we needed to bring. The condo was immaculate, the master bed so comfortable, and the furniture is great quality. It felt like home. Many other rental properties I've stayed are uncomfortable with a mish mash of cheap furniture. That is not the case here. The furniture is thought out down to table lamps and mirror where you need it. This was a part work & part vacation trip for me and the internet was also high speed. If in the area again, I would most definitely choose a Glenn & Peggy property.

Great location

Great location! Location was 10 minute walk to beach and pool, hot tub, and lazy River was just steps from condo! I would definitely recommended this location for a young family!

Very nice place and location is great

The room was nice and location was perfect. It’s only a short 5 minute walk or so to the beach. The views from with balcony are great and have seating to relax and just take everything in. The bed was like sleeping on a rock. The floor in the unit was not cleaned. The first night we were there our feet/socks were black on the bottom from the floor in the unit. The pools and lazy River are nice, but needed some serious attention when it comes to cleaning them. There was so much dirt/mulch floating in them that you had to watch for and try to dodge it. The pool hours stated 8am or 9am til 10pm, but maintenance kicks everyone out between 830-9pm and they aren’t very nice about it. Make sure to wear your bands when going to the pool area because they are like drill sergeants and will kick you out until you show them physical proof that you have one. It’s a great place for kids and that’s why I would go back, so my kids can enjoy this place again. Communication with the owner is great so don’t worry if there’s an issue that needs taken care of. They will get back with you quickly.

Beautiful property!!!

This was a wonderful property with lots of fun things to do! Beach, pools, bay side had sting rays, fish, and crabs that the kids could see from the dock area! Only complaints, as a mother of young kids I was hoping they would have tall locks on the balcony doors as my 2 and 4 year old could reach the locks and open the doors themselves. Also, the master bed was very uncomfortable..but we would definitely stay there again!! It’s so beautiful and very clean!!

Great place to stay.

Pros Can’t say anything bad about the actual condo. Everything was clean and in good condition. The owners are very nice and will get back with you within minutes if you need anything at all. This condo was on the bay side and was just a few short minutes to the lazy river and pools and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The actual condo itself was great and so were the owners. Cons. Just an FYI when you stay at this resort. There are no lifeguards, or security at the pools and lazy river. Our first night there a punching fight broke out between about fifteen 12 year olds. No parents anywhere! We stayed 7 nights and 4 out of the 7 evenings at the lazy river there were kids running around doing cannonballs in the river, screaming, jumping in to the hot tubs where only adults are allowed. There’s no one to call, or complain to about this. There was no security to break up the fight that happened. Everything at the pool is at your own risk. There is an old man checking wristbands as you walk in but that’s it. He ignores everything that goes on out there. I did complain to him the first night about the fight and the one kid bleeding in the pool and all he said was I didn’t see anything. So I can’t do anything. Even though it happened in the lazy river, right next to the entrance where he was standing and everyone was screaming. So it was impossible for him not to see it. Other than absolutely no rules at the pool, nor parental supervision for kids, we had a really great stay.

Memorial Day Fun & Sun

Destin West VRBO Sandpiper 501 This condo is great & better than the VRBO description, except the sleeper couch probably isn’t that new anymore. (We didn’t use it so can’t comment on the comfort). We had everything we needed. We loved the location on the 5th floor corner unit and loved being among the palms. The lazy river was a hit w everybody and we used it a lot. The master bedroom was so quiet and the bed and pillows were sooo comfy. The owners are awesome and addressed any issue or questions we had quickly. We’ll be baaack.

Everything was absolutely wonderful!

Thank you so much for a great stay! Everything was exactly as described and the amenities were perfect! Peggy and Glen provided so much great information prior to check-in. Even the directions from the airport were spot on. The location was great as well. Great parking, safe location, beautiful views, easy to get to the beach (walking distance) and easy to hop on over to Destin with just a short drive. We will definitely be staying here again!
