The condo itself was very nice in good shape. However the hot tub wouldn’t get any higher than 92 and would drop when you were in it. Plus there was an odor from the hot tub. We texted the owner and they sent someone out promptly and added chemicals and said 1 of the heaters are probably out. The maintenance keeper was very nice and gave us ideas to do in the area. So we only went in it 2 times. Plus we had a surprise at 3am on New Year’s Day in it. No clue who it was. lol we walked to the bay side to fish saw a sting ray. Went to the beach and walked. It was cold when we were there burr. Mother Nature wasn’t good a few days. Boys went on a fishing charter that was fun for them.

Nash 2025 Florida Trip

Place was pretty nice and definitely recommend it. On our next trip we will definitely try to book this exact room. We’ve stayed in 3 different condos at this resort and this is by far our favorite.

Turner Vacation

The condo was very nice and the location was perfect! We could walk right out to the lazy river, pools, or bay. We’ve stayed at this resort many times but this was our first time in this room and it was our favorite so far. 10/10

Great family spring break

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Condo was great with everything you could need. Stayed a full week and enjoyed every bit. Staff was wonderful and we felt very safe in our environment. Only complaint but was no hindrance was that we thought the lazy river heated and it was not.

First vacation

The condo was amazing. The weather was great for December. The Only problem was 3 of the days we were there they were doing roof repair next door. We weren’t able to use the roof on the beautiful days and we had to leave because the noise was not very relaxing. In fact drilling and use of a saw went on repeatedly. I’m not sure we will ever get to take another vacation. It was our first out of state so thank you for the good nights sleep and again the condo was amazing when we were able to use it

In the words of my children, “BEST VACATION EVER”

We have stayed at the Destin West Beach and Bayside Resort for three years in a row now. This was our first time staying in this room. We have always stayed in a Lanai unit, which in our opinion is the best option. We have stayed in Sandpiper, and Pelican Lanai’s previously, but they didn’t have their own private hot tub. This was great for coming back from the pool and getting in after the pools closed, and also for my kids to get in and splash around without fearing they would splash someone else in the public one. The room was actually much larger than we had anticipated, previously staying in other Lanai’s, it was almost double the size (we felt). The room with the bunk beds had what appeared to be memory foam mattresses, which were VERY comfortable. We love staying on the bayside, as it has easy access to the lazy river and pools, and then is a short walk over to the beach on a covered bridge over the highway. One secret we did find this year, that we didn’t know about other years, was that the pool back by the Heron building is heated! None of the other pools, to our knowledge, were. We actually found this out on the last day of our stay and hung out there all day! We have multiple friends who come to this resort for their family vacations and we all say the same thing, you just can’t beat the Destin West Beach and Bayside Reoart, and we will definitely be back to this room!
