This condo was perfect for my son and I. He’s 4 and thought it was the coolest thing to be able to be taller than me and sleep on top bunk. The goodie welcome tray was perfect for us without us even giving hints! The theme was adorable! It was supplied with plenty of things for cooking, and even had ice trays to make some fresh ice! One of the pools is literally right outside once you walk out of the condo entrance making it so convenient to swim later in the day without having to travel far! No need to bring beach toys or chairs as they are provided! Even an umbrella too! The only thing I would change is adding child door locks! Something similar to hotel latches would be perfect! My son is an escape artist and thought it was a game, and well that game got old real fast! Otherwise, simply perfect!

Wonderful stay

It was perfect! Tiny, and cozy. Small walk to the beautiful ocean! This condo is so nice because it is the last one on the island. So peaceful! The little condo was very tidy, homey, and comfortable!

Perfect Space!

Can not put into words how perfect this rental was for our family! Two children (10&8) and two adults. Communication with the host was the best experience I’ve had thus far with any vacation. The room was equipped with everything we needed for our stay! The kids enjoyed the extra beach toys in the closet outside. A short walk to the beach but not to far. There was beach access straight ahead of the condo. The beach was not overly crowded for this resort. It was more private and less people than what we are used to so we enjoyed that. The beds in the room were comfy and the space was clean. Can’t wait to plan our next vacation and hope to book again.

Perfect reset

Beautiful location. The condo is absolutely beautiful and nicely located for quiet retreat. Close enough to the beach to walk to easily. Well furnished and very clean. Beach was perfect for relaxing!

The property was just as described. Don't let the size fool you- while it is a bit small, it is so well organized that you don't notice the size. I traveled with my 17 year old granddaughter and she takes up A LOT of space. We didn't have any space issues at all. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook. There are basic spices (garlic/onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, and salt/pepper}. There are ice trays in the freezer so you can make ice. If you need ice you can purchase it right outside the door. There is also a dishwasher and the host provided dishwasher tablets. There are also washers/dryers steps away to dry the days beach towel. The host also has beach towels for guests.If you have more than a couple of people staying there are bathrooms by the hot tubs - steps away. The pool is literary steps from the front door and the beach entrance is a 5 minute walk. The host (Sidney) has beach chairs, boogie boards, toys and an umbrella for the guests to use. Honestly that was a selling point for me as I did not want to rent umbrellas or chairs on the beach. There are several restaurants on Santa Rosa blvd with everything from fancy dining to pizza (Fubars is amazing). There is Publix close by for other staples. Sidney (the host) is very easy to communicate with and responses promptly to text messages. We had no issues gaining access to the property. I would certainly stay in this location again. It was worth every penny I paid!

Veey cute well kocated studio condo. Well equipped. If you like a soft mattress and a sofa to sink into you will really enjoy. Host is very attentive.

Thanksgiving

This condo had everything I needed to cook a turkey and a couple of casseroles to take to our extended family gathering. Host included a nice snack box. Also spices, coffee, toiletries. Quick walk to the beach. It was convenient to be able to park near the door.

Great Stay/Highly Recommended

Great location with easy beach access. Property was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed for our 1-week stay. The beach items (chairs, umbrella, wagon, boogie boards) included for our use were a nice touch and came in handy!) Owner was attentive and communicated with us prior to, during and after our stay. We highly recommend this property!

Very clean

It’s small but very clean. We had 3 adults. Everything went great! Def bring a wagon to take stuff to the beach. Ice machine right outside the room is nice. There’s a restroom by the sauna that came in handy for us in case 2 people needed the restroom at 1 time. Overall we liked the place the condo itself is very well maintained. Beach is nice not a lot of people!

Relaxing month

Property was as described on VRBO website. Lots of goodies supplied by the owner for the short term stay. Condo complex was very well maintained and secured. Easy access to a very nice white sand beach. Easy communication with a responsive owner. Very enjoyable stay for the whole month of February.

100% Recommended!!

Lovely and very clean room, the pool is wonderful, super cute decor and we really loved the welcome tray. The bathroom and kitchen supplies were really convenient and we had the best stay! We would’ve loved if the back door opened, but all in all we’re excited to come back!

Place is really cute. Only issue was just wasn't big enough for any privacy. Sidney was nice and place was clean. Was how it was described. Thought it was big enough but wasn't for us. It had a bathroom but for 5 people u can imagine trying to change clothes after swimming in ocean or pool.

Perfect!!

Stayed for 7 days with my family of 5 and absolutely loved it! My kids loved that we were just a few steps from the pool. The washer and dryer were also just a few steps away. The room had everything we needed, and the beds and couch were clean and cozy.

Nice place

A nice, cute, updated condo. There were a few things that were wrong but the host acknowledged them quickly. The host was very easy to get a hold of. I would not recommend this condo if you have many kids. There just isn’t enough room for everyone. The size of the condo is listed so just really think about that before you book.

Amazing stay!!

My family of 3 had an amazing time at this beautiful condo. My daughter who is one loved all of the little toys they had! The wagon and all of the beach toys and umbrella and chairs were a HUGE lifesaver. The walk to the beach wasn’t far at all and we all actually enjoyed the walk. It is right next door to the maintenance but we really didn’t hear them very often. We would definitely stay here again!

Emerald Coast Anniversary

Our accommodations were great and staff very helpful and friendly. Sydney was awesome and had taken extra steps to help us celebrate our anniversary. For anyone staying in building 6 it is very convenient to fitness room, tennis, basketball and pickle ball courts as well as swimming pool and laundry room. It is however also next to the maintenance facility so early morning as crews get started it can be a bit noisy but I would stay again.

Great property

Great property. The owner was very responsive. Love the amenities and small amount of food left for us. Everything there was great. The only update this place needs is a new back sliding door. The condo is not a terrible walk to the beach. The owner has a wagon along with several things for the beach which made it very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Great little studio

The owner seems to have thought of everything! Great communication! Nicely updated coastal design! She had many different complimentary items (toiletries, snacks, etc). The unit was exactly as described. It was tight with 6 of us, but the layout definitely utilizes every square foot!

Family Vacation

Not the first time at El Matador, but the first time with this condo. Not disappointed! Love that the El Matador is quiet and at the very end of Ft. Walton Beach. Sidney makes great use of a small space and keeps everything very clean and organized. Tons of complimentary items for the length of our stay. Location of the condo is not bad; a short walk down the parking lot to the beach and the smaller pool just a few steps from the front door. Very convenient to load up the provided wagon, chairs, umbrella, and beach toys. Only downside about the condo location is the maintenance shed is directly next to the porch, so it’s a little awkward to sit on the porch while they’re constantly working. Not a huge deal, just worth mentioning. Would definitely recommend this condo to others. Thank you Sidney for a wonderful (and affordable) spot to rest, relax, and start our summer vacation!
