Okaloosa Island Sea Oats

This was our family’s very first time to Destin, FL. The room looked just like the pictures in the listing and the ocean view was gorgeous. The pool was clean and a perfect temperature all week. The beach was gorgeous as well. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the boardwalk and see all different kinds of sea life. Communication with property owner was spot on. We needed more washcloths and more were brought to us same day. Our only negatives would be that the floors were not as clean as we would have preferred and the exterior of the building shows its age. Exterior doors need updating or replacing. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice week and comfortable

We had a nice week at this rental. It is starting to show its age a bit. Could use new sheets. The twin beds do not fit adults, so renters need to be aware of that. Extra long twin beds would be better or you had room for two full beds in that room. Great view. Location is very good. Quiet, end unit. We were happy with rental. Sliding glass door needs to be replaced. They tried to fix it (doesn't open easily) but they couldn't. Overall, happy with unit.

Beautiful time with family!

This condo is conveniently located to the pier and restaurants. We had two children with us and spent time at the aquarium, the pier and shopping in Destin. The living room is cozy and comfortable allowing able space to seat all of us for family game nights. We are all excited to plan our return once the newest grandchild is born.

TV and internet worries

The condo was exactly as advertised; very nicely decorated and clean. However there were ongoing issues with the television and internet which lasted for close to a week.

Vacation DOA

Arrived at Sea Oats Condominiums Fort Walton Beach on the evening of 1/1/24 for a stay of the month of January. Entering, the unit was clean and presented well, but disappointment soon followed. Of the four TVs, LR and one in each of the three BRs, the only one that worked was the LR, and that was only by ROKU. Also, no Wi-Fi access. Contacted RealJoy the next morning, Jan. 2, and reported the TV and internet problems. ‘Profusely apologize’. They sent a tech employee to check things out but could not fix. The next day, Jan.3, another employee came for a look but still could not fix. On Jan. 4, another employee, same result. He said it was COX Cable provider problem and that COX had been contacted and a tech. would come by the next day, Jan. 5, to repair TV/Wi-FI cables and rectify any problems. Later, another employee brought in a temporary wi-fi ‘hot spot’ box so we would at least have some semblance of internet access. Jan. 5, COX never showed up. I called RealJoy and was told that any issue having to do with COX was handled through the Sea Oats HOA and that RealJoy had no control over that, that COX would come out sometime but they didn’t know when. RealJoy would contact me if they heard back from COX, wish they could do more but they had no control. TVs & wi-fi service finally restored Jan. 16, 16 days after our arrival. Not enough space allowed for the full review.

Christmas stay

Very nice unit- view, kitchen very well equipped, quiet end unit. Bed linens need to be replaced. No regular size pillows, just king. Need a few blankets for winter. Had an issue with heat first night. RealJoy took care of the issue the next morning. Internet is not great, NO instructions for TV remotes (2), plus 2 more we couldn't figure out. We would stay here again, knowing the unit and building.

The ocean view and customer service were great. The cleanliness of the room not so much. The floor felt gritty and was dirty. There was dust built up on the pictures hanging on the wall. The Wi-Fi barely worked while we were there. The master bedroom tv only worked for one day. We were given one roll of Toilet paper for 2 bathrooms.I would think that both should stocked up and ready for use. We had to hunt around for extra towels. Everything is key code locked which is a major inconvenience after coming in from the beach to remember everything. We won’t be back to this location.

Clean with disappointment

The property was immaculately clean. There was only 1 room with a "true"king size bed (not 2 rooms withking beds). There was a laminated sign to not overfill the only bathtub or you would be responsible for water damage to lower units- the only bathtub has a 6 to 8 inch crack. Took pics.

Great location

This condo was perfect for our group of 6. Everything including beach access was very walkable for our senior members, and between the beach and the pool there was plenty to keep our 8 year old occupied. On the last day of our stay we woke up to the AC not working. Given the heat, this had the potential to ruin our trip, but management had it fixed before we came in for lunch. We'll be back.

Awesome views perfect setting friendly people

Every thing was just as the pictures only better I’d recommend book as long as can you won’t want to leave! It really close to all kind of activities suitable for all ages!

Perfect Beach House

We had 2 families with children and it was a bit snug but having the beach only a 5 min walk away made it worth it. Beautiful gulf view from the porch. All in all I would happily stay here again.

Girls Getaway

We are 4 nurses who just needed to get away and relax. View from the 6th floor was amazing. Alot of great restaurants to eat at. We will be back.

Spring break family vacation

Our two families enjoyed our stay at Sea Oats. The view from our sixth floor balcony was fantastic. Easy beach access and a few restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Spring break

Location was perfect. Place was very clean, Condo was so nice with gorgeous views from both living room and master bathroom. Both guest bedrooms were very nice. It was a great fit for our group of 2 adults and 5 fully grown Teens. It was spacious and we were not stacked on top of each other! Unfortunately, while we were there this past week there was a cold snap, thank god for the heated pool and hot tub! We are definitely looking forward to returning again some time this summer and I highly recommend booking this codo to anyone!

Nice vacation

We had a little trouble at first, getting the correct codes to the pool and hot tub area as well as workable Internet. After a couple days everything worked itself out and we had a wonderful stay!
