Property is in a perfect location and just steps away from the beach. We loved that it is a smaller complex so it wasn't so crowded in the parking lot and on the beach. Chair setup was great! Easy access to condo and no elevator needed which we loved! Condo had everything we needed and then some and it was very clean. Owners very responsive to questions we had. Highly recommend this property for a great beach vacation!

The good: clean and comfortable for most of us. Nice deck with very nice patio furniture. Very convenient access to beach. The kitchen had plenty of glasses, dishes, utensils, and cookware.The bad (and reason for my low rating): when we booked, the listing described the sofa in the living room as suitable for 2 adults to sleep on. It was not suitable for anyone to sleep on - too narrow and too slippery with a sheet. We needed 3 separate sleeping areas so one of our party was pretty miserable trying not to fall off the sofa at night. There were only 3 beach towels for our party of 5, and there was only 1 cheapo beachchair that was useable. That left us with a total of 3 chairs (including beach service). No shower soap or dishwasher detergent despite being told to run the dishwasher when checking out - had the dishes in the cabinets actually been washed with detergent? Only 1 kitchen towel. No extra paper towels or trashbags. Minimal TP. This was the worst stocked vacation rental we've stayed at in many years. I could have brought extras of all those things (and beach chairs) if the host had only indicated to bring extras - as some do. The host also has a lot of rules, but there isn't a physical copy in the rental - so the primary renter has to communicate all the rules to everyone else in the group. We did not complete all the checkout cleaning tasks(!!!) due to notice that exterminator would be entering an hour before checkout.

Youngest graduated HS...we are going to the beach!

Great beach access. Appreciated having beach set up included. Kitchen had everything needed. We were able to pack light because of washer/dryer in condo.Only regret was that we didn't stay longer.
View outside of patio doors.
Beach was peaceful and not overcrowded.

Convenience and Location

Really amazing place. We wanted to book again as soon as we left! Thank you Ronda and Lisa. We had a mix up at check in and some slow response times but other than that everything was smooth and our stay was magical! Well equipped, beautiful space. Enjoyed coffee on the porch in the early morning watching the beach come alive. Can’t wait to be back!

It’s all in the details!!

What a great stay at Sandy Thongs! Great location with an easy first floor walk out to the beach and less then a mile to anything you might need. The beauty was in the details- high end touches - furniture, beds, patio furniture- area to hose off on the patio. Things like a California king bed for a tall family and a spare room with larger then twin beds - again - tall family. Rooms are very spacious. Finishes are well thought out and the kitchen is fully operational. Extra beach chairs and beach towels, toys and even sippy cups for the littlest vacationer. Starter items like coffee filters and TP and paper towels and a few snacks - these details really made the difference. We would absolutely recommend and stay again! Thank you Rhonda and family!!

Wonderful experience!

BY far our best beach experience yet! Beautiful condo with beautiful views. Super clean and stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen to cook as far as great dishes and appliances. Wonderful property manager, very responsive. Will definitely book here again!

Low key & loving it

This was our first time to stay in Fort Walton & we loved it. The beach wasn’t as crowded as some other places which was nice. The condo had everything we needed & was decorated nicely. Being on the 1st floor was great, especially when you forgot something on the beach and had to go back. Property managers were great and always responded quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Furtick family vacation

Everything was as described. The location is perfect. If you want a busy beach then you should go to Destin because the traffic here is low and just what we wanted with toddlers. This was perfect for my little family. The owner was prompt and courteous with her responses. We never wanted for anything. The condo has everything you'll need and more! AWESOME PLACE/AMAZING TIMES!

WE LOVED THIS PLACE! Our family of 5 rented the condo from May 23rd-27th. What a gem of a place! First level, your own entrance so you’re not sharing an elevator/respecting social distancing. We used the pool when it was too dark to swim in the ocean and when the red/purple flag was out to not swim. I read ALL the reviews before making the reservation. What sealed the decision was the location, BEACH ACCESS-not crowed at all, surrounding activities available(we snorkeled, parasailed and visited the Air Force Armament Museum-so much fun!) Everything in the descriptions were accurate. All we needed was groceries for 3 teenagers. 😊 Ronda reached out to me, welcomed us and sent helpful info about the condo/area. She left contact info in case we needed her or anything, which we didn’t. The condo was just right for us, the beach was the main reason I booked it. We will definitely come back(I told my husband we need to come back for our own R&R, WITHOUT the kids(12 yo, 13 yo and 16yo 🙂). I HIGHLY recommend this condo! Thank you, Ronda, hope to return to your condo sooner then later! 🥰

Wonderful experience!

We were VERY impressed with this condo! It was beautifully decorated with a wonderful view of the ocean and it had everything we could possibly need. It was truly our home away from home. Ronda was so easy to work with and she quickly responded to any of our inquiries. We highly recommend this place!
