Nice beachside apartment

The photos are very accurate reflection of the apartment. The smaller pool is literally just outside the back door so it’s very convenient. The beach service was a huge plus! The private beach access is walking distance. I’m not sure if it is Covid related or just the property management, we weren’t given any directions on check-out other than drop the keys. There is an app that keeps all the codes and such but there are no directions in what to is required at check out. We gathered the towels and trash. There was no place to take the trash out and were advised by the staff to just leave it in the apartment. So, during the week, we had a large bag of trash sitting in the kitchen floor which was not desirable. I meant to ask again about getting rid of the trash but forgot when the desk was staffed.

1st Destin trip but won't be the last!

BEAUTIFUL condo! Everything was clean and in order PLENTY of bath towels (A ton!)additional linen for the beds. Set for the 1st night or 2 with basic needs but go shopping for what you need asap! Stocked with plate ware and flatware cups cooking utensils baking needs, the location to the pool and beach was perfect. Everything was so perfect we didn't need to contact anyone for anything! we will be back and HIGHLY suggest this rental to EVERYONE! Mr. Wayne was so pleasant at 3:45 am when I came to check out thank you Islander for perfect memories!

Great spot

Great location for great price. Very clean and accessible. Woman at front desk was very rude and terrible customer service, but the property was awesome other than that.

Good short beach stay. Small side of bed bugs.

Unfortunately our vacation started roughly with an infestation of bed bugs in the bed night 1. We totally understand how uncontrollable the situation is, if the bugs are brought in from other tenants, there’s no way of detection until the next tenant finds them. Unfortunately, we were the second tenant in the fore mentioned scenario. On the bright side, Megan and her team handled the situation as well as possible and their customer service was second to none. Megan went to maximum lengths to assure that our visit was a success. After the process, we approve of the Islander and their team. Cant thank Megan enough for all that she did. Great stay, we all had a great time!

Cannot see the beach

It appeared clean, but as I moved around after resting from our drive, I began to notice the problems. My feet were black from walking on the floor! I had to mop the kitchen. I wore flip flops when walking in the unit. Next was blood splatter on the medicine cabinet door! The bed was uncomfortable. The bathrooms had mold. The bathroom cabinets are about 2 feet tall. They hit about the middle of my thigh. I was told the beach walk was only one minute, I asked because my husband is recovering from back surgery. It may be about half a mile! Cannot see or hear the beach. There is another building between the Islander and the beach. There are lots of "don't s" when you check in. Also, there are lots of high charges if you don't comply. Don't lose anything they loan you including your key! Oh, you need your key to get on the beach!

1st Floor Convenience

The 1st floor condo is better than advertised. The condo is well maintained and we had no problems during our stay. There were no stairs to deal with and one of the pools is a few steps away from the back patio. The free beach service and attendant is well worth it. It’s a short 3 to 5 min walk to beach, but you never have to leave the property.

Better than the picture!

Total experience was wonderful! Rooms were very clean as the pool! Towel swap was easy! We first got there my grandson stepped on some gum as we were bringing in luggage and the office was right there cleaning it up! We will be back!
