Very nice stay, but!!
House was nice and clean. Layout was a bit odd but not a problem. Neighborhood was very nice and quiet, easy access to beach across the Main Street, plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas and a good cart to pull them to the beach. Overall a very nice stay. The only problem was the pool. It was a bit cloudy when we arrived and after a couple of days it turned a beautiful green, couldn’t see the bottom even in the shallow end. We stopped using it and called to inform the rental agent who said he would send someone over that day. When we got back from visiting friends a neighbor told us not to use the pool that day because chemicals had been applied. We left a couple of days later and the pool was as green as when we called to report it. I have a pool and have had similar problems if I didn’t maintain it properly but it usually cleans up within a day. Kids were disappointed they couldn’t use the pool for a few days. What I was a little surprised about was when I checked out and told the agent the pool hadn’t improved the attitude was sort of, oh that’s unfortunate, no talk of compensation of any kind so I didn’t really get what I paid for. I didn’t ask and probably wouldn’t have accepted anything but it would have been nice to get an offer.
