This was a trip planned to visit with friends who live in FL as well as to be able to beach hop to other nearby beaches that we’ve wanted to visit but haven’t had time over 20 years of raising our families! I personally loved the photo opportunities, the permanent residents and the people that I met out in the community. I ended my stay early at my choice due to living on the SC coast and needing to get my own property storm prepped as a hurricane was imminent for the area where we stayed. There were a few issues but as to communication with the property management they were available and made reparations. For the property description it very specifically needs to designate there is no direct beach access, this is not being noted critically it’s a fact. The access is not safe for all individuals or children and meanders through mangroves and floods quickly from the small river behind the property. We used the hotel access near the property. For coastal property it needs to be specifically stated so that customers who use this property know the limitations of actually going to the beach, it’s just not stated and it was disappointing for us. Also needing to be noted up front is the locality rules on sea turtle protection and the strict time limits on use of the balcony, lighting rules - which the property owners need to comply with and put an approved amber or red light sold by the HOA on the balcony so the guests who want to on the balcony after 8 are able to do. Again not a critical review but accurate information needs to be disclosed up front. Enjoyed seeing how this area presents the Gulf Coast to new comers and the experience of being a tourist.
