Lessons Learned

Our stay started off very rocky. When we first arrived at the house, there was a letter posted on the door stating the owner is in violation with the city with not being listed as a vacation rental. That was unnerving and we kept wondering if the city was going to be knocking on the door. The owner said he is in conversations with the city. Then the next morning, the city was doing work with the water and the toilet water overflowed all over the floor TWICE, which we had to clean up. Big time safety issue. None of the beds had flat sheets which we were told the cleaning crew forgot to put them on. We were able to get to them so only one night without it. We had plenty of bath towels (although we had to wash them after cleaning the toilet water twice) but two washcloths. We ended up buying some at Walmart. Once we got through the first two days, all was well. Good location - close to beach, downtown, airport, etc. House is a good size and offers a lot of kitchen supplies/utensils that others do not. If we didn't have the issues at the beginning, I would rate higher.

Wonderful way to spend the winter

My wife and I spent 78 days Jan to end of March and had various company visit us. We were able to visit great attractions, wonderful restaurants and sun kissed beaches from our great location. The house was very suited to giving hospitality to our guests and a wonderful home for our two dogs with a fenced patio and garden.

Nice place

Our stay was great except we could not get WiFi to connect to tv. Host gave us a QR code that helped on phone but not on tv. Said it was fixed and then promised a partial refund but we did not get that. Frustrated.

Mixed Review

The location and amount of space were great, and the beds were comfortable. Major appliances worked great. House had been cleaned, but smelled so strongly of cleaner we had to open windows to ventilate. Despite cleaner smell, the floors left our socks dirty. Not all supplies were fully stocked, but the host was responsive and quickly sent more over when we asked. There was no house manual to give general house info or check-out instructions. The WIFI and TV did not work for most of our stay, despite the host sending the internet company over to troubleshoot. Communication about the WIFI was challenging, but the host did try to make things right in the end.

AMAZING STAY!!!

The property was beautiful!! House came equipped with everything you would need on vacation! Great stay for a family, The home is close to EVERYTHING, Host was amazing and responds in a timely manner, if you’re looking for a vacation rental in Fort Lauderdale this is the place to book!

Great host! PERFECT vrbo stay!

Chrissie was a great host! I had a few questions before we booked which were answered very quickly. A simple issue during our stay was addressed immediately and expertly. We found the home to be even more wonderful than expected. Stylishly modern while still family-friendly, we found the house to have everything our family needed. We didn't have young ones with us this time, but appreciated the inclusion of games and puzzles for kids, the Graco, and a constellation room that would delight young kids and teens alike. The king bed and en -suite bathroom had far more storage than we needed, as did the room with queen bed and trundle day bed! The larger refrigerator, new appliances and wonderful amounts of counter space allow for everything from a simple meal to a chef's dream. The grill and outdoor space are lovely as well. The large washer and dryer were appreciated as we did a load of laundry in the middle of more than a week away from home. In the laundry room we found so many goodies to head over to the beach with. We had brought our own so we did not make use of the beach chairs, or beach towels, but we sure would next time! The house is on a key road that's a straight shot down to a main shopping area. Everything from groceries to boutiques is within a few minutes. We met family at Bokampers- about 6 minutes away. Las Olas beach & the Riverwalk took about 20 min. We will be planning a return trip before year's end and certainly hope to stay here once more.

Excellent!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hidden gem at the Fort Lauderdale area. The house is beautifully renovated and decorated. It is fully equipped. Lots of comfortable sleeping options. Great location. I most definitely will return.
