We arrived to wine, strawberries, and apple strudel in our fridge! The apartment was cozy and comfortable and steps from the beach. We were furnished with thick beach towels, chairs for the beach, and a lovely garden area to relax in full of tropical plants and palm trees. We loved our time!

Amazing spot by the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. With the beach less than a block away, you can't go wrong. The apartment itself is really nice too, it felt clean and had cool decor. Couch was very comfy to watch movies on! Plus, it was well stocked with everything you needed: shampoo, kitchen utensils, beach towels. We appreciated the outdoor shower they had outside so we could rinse off after the beach before going inside. The location was great - the boardwalk area in Hollywood Beach was just a short drive away, there were some good restaurants nearby too, and we were even able to walk down the beach to take a surfing lesson. The check in process was super easy and communication was smooth. Overall, we would highly recommend staying here if you're looking to stay right next to a beautiful beach!

Quick getaway

DeSoto Beach House was nearly perfect. Just steps from the private beach, with chairs and umbrellas provided that were quick and easy to set up. The apartment was spotless and exactly as described. The only downside was the firm bed, though that comes down to personal preference. The owner was great to work with—responsive and accommodating.

A peaceful, comfortable stay in a perfect beach location

I spent a full week at Aleyda and Brian’s place—and I’m so glad I did. The beach is just a short walk away, about four houses down a quiet street. It’s part of a turtle sanctuary, so there are no high-rises and hardly any people, especially on weekdays. It felt peaceful and unspoiled, with a lifeguard on duty and plenty of space to enjoy the water and sand without crowds.The apartment was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The kitchen is efficient and well stocked, and I really appreciated arriving to a fridge filled with drinks and fruit, plus a full snack basket. The living room has original artwork, which gave the space a warm, personal touch. The bed was super comfortable, and I slept well every night. The bathroom was spotless and stocked with shampoo, soap, and everything I needed.One of my favorite parts was the outdoor space. The patio and courtyard are full of tropical plants, many of them blooming, and it felt like a hidden garden. I especially loved the tiki hut—perfect for drinking my morning coffee. One day it rained, and I stayed dry under the hut, just listening to the birds. So peaceful.Aleyda and Brian were wonderful hosts—kind, patient, and welcoming. My week there was restful and just what I needed. I’m already looking forward to returning.

Great Girls Trip Location!!

Brian and his wife were an absolute treat and made such a difference for our stay. They were such attentive and accommodating hosts. We absolutely enjoyed this cozy space - perfect for 3 women! A short walk to the beach and local restaurants. Ordering groceries and food was a breeze. When wanting to explore the beach 5 minutes away, a quick bus trip or uber was fairly inexpensive. We also were about 30 minutes from Miami, which was perfect for those nights out. 10/10 recommend - great experience!

We loved everything about our stay! Steps away from beach. We had groceries delivered. Lyft from airport no car needed. Beautiful area outside we used for dining and playing games. Beyond well maintained. Great, kind, and thoughtful hosts. We will absolutely return!!

A little slice of paradise

We absolutely loved our stay here.... And I mean we LOVED it! We didn't want to leave! I can't speak any more highly about our hosts and their entire crew. They were such a delight and so accommodating. We were so appreciative that they had snacks and refreshments (especially coffee) ready for us in our unit. After a long day of travel it was great not having to worry about picking up groceries the moment we got into town. Our favorite things about this property was the beautiful garden and tikki hut, and the proximity to the beach (much quiter than the beach on the main drag.) Beach chairs and umbrellas were available for use, so we spent a lot of time just relaxing in the beach... Which was sorely needed. We can't wait to go back.

Relaxing Beach Stay

Thanks to Brian and Aleyda for a great long weekend. Their place was clean and a two min walk to the beach on a quiet neighborhood road. Close to some great restaurants and bars but the proximity to a low key beach is amazing. Brian was great at getting right back to me when I had a question. We can't wait to come back. Great place, great hosts!

Friendly Hosts & Great Location

The apartment was just as described. The hosts provided some treats to tide us over until we went to the market. Less than 200' to a beautiful, quiet beach and the bike path to the Hollywood boardwalk about a 1.25 miles walk away.

My husband and I spent a relaxing week at this clean, cozy, well-appointed apartment. It has a gorgeous, inviting garden and is only about 100 ft from a quiet beach. The owners are friendly and very helpful.

It’s EVERYTHING!!!

We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! The beautiful landscaping, the short walk to the private beach, convenient location to the Broadwalk, the surprise treats/beverages waiting for us just to mention a few. This area of Hollywood is very quiet and peaceful with busy nightlife just a short drive away. We were happy that we could visit with Brian even if it was just for a little bit as he was leaving for a family trip. We would like to come back soon and bring family/friends as this building has 6 units. Thanks for everything!

Pleasant little apartment

Brian & Aleyda are wonderful hosts. We will be back to this wonderful property again. *You must go to Tiki-Tiki* Pros -Food/snacks/drinks were waiting when we arrived. So impressed that upon arrival the hosts provided just enough groceries to get us thru a cpl days while we waited for our groceries to be delivered from Walmart. Bread, deli meat & cheese, coffee, snacks, fresh fruit & veggies, & small bag of ice among other things. Even cpl alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks!! So appreciated. 2.) They have everything you could think of for a day at the beach: chairs, towels, floaties, beach toys, umbrellas!!! 3.) Property is simple & beautiful. A mini oasis 4.) Sooooo close to the beach…like four houses down!! Loved it. 5.) The beach is private & has life guard with NO CROWDS Cons (This is only meant to be helpful to others deciding if this is right for them…no negative feeling here.) 1.) The bathroom is on the small side. We are not big people and felt almost on top of the toilet paper roll. 2.) The mattress is definitely on the firm/hard side. We had achy backs a cpl of mornings. 3.) Be aware that when using the stove use the low setting…we have a gas stove at home and still found it hard to cook without burning. 4.) I would hope this doesn’t happen often, but I was eaten alive every time we sat under the tiki hut. Now, we visited in July and humidity was extremely high. In addition, Florida had just gotten rained on for weeks. Just something to keep in mind.

Stayed here for a few days during spring break. I booked it for the walking distance to the beach. It was very quiet and lovely area. Its just the right distance from the tourist area that you don't even know it's there. Our place was just the right size. Had no problem parking. The property had a common area that was shaded and a nice place to relax.

Great location, quiet yet walking distance from the boardwalk. Loved the Tiki Tiki restaurant just a short walk away. Owners went above and beyond to take care of us. Courtyard is sublime. Plan to go again.

A little piece of Heaven

We loved the tropical garden to relax at/in at night. The snacks and beverages upon check-in was absolutely awesome. The owners are very friendly, and go above and beyond to make your stay "perfect." The closeness to the beach was great, too.
