Yikes! We carefully consider all reviews and assess their relevance. We were completely surprised by this list of negative, atypical complaints. We have not heard these criticisms before and our reviews reflect overwhelming satisfaction with our studio. Our response: 1) All linens and the 6 pillows (of varying thicknesses for varying preferences) are less than a year old. We replace items regularly as needed.. I did exchange 1 pillow for a “fatter” one. 2) AC unit produces white noise—low-pitched monotone hum. All units do this and in a studio apartment, it’s audible regardless of placement. 3) Counter is higher and deep-set to accommodate basement stairwell beneath and cannot be changed. Cabinets are placed accordingly. In open alcove under bottom cabinets we provide a (very visible) sturdy, rubber-tread step stool for reaching highest section. No need to use a chair. I will note this item on new info sheet. 4) Your private section of yard and patio are surrounded by fencing, walls and huge spruce tree, so the back of deep lot (guest dog area, mowed regularly) is not visible. I pulled grass tufts from front yard mulch (2 minute job). We regret that you found our sweet studio so objectionable.

Those ants were a first! We are happy to have put a complete stop to them without using any poisons.
