Great place for our girls trip! Very comfortable with plenty of room to relax, both inside and outside. The heat was a little hard regulate between the upstairs and downstairs but would definitely come back again.The house had everything we needed

Very nice place- enjoyed the hot tub and loved the scenery.Decor and furnishings were very nice. Liked bathroom soaps , shampoo, and conditioner. The only thing that is a negative for me ,was the accumulation of dust on picture frames, ceiling fan, wood work ,window frames light fixtures and mirrors in bathrooms. Our stay was very good and we would recommend it and would stay again . We liked the history of the home, that was a plus as was the basket full of pamphlets on what all Ft. Braggs had to offer !

Another wonderful family vacation at Chateau Cleone! For the last six years we have stayed here for a week at a time and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this wonderful home in a wonderful location! Fort Bragg and the Mendocino coast is our favorite place to be with family and friends. Chateau Cleone is far enough from town to be quiet and private, but close enough to make a quick trip to grab a meal or groceries. The home is well equipped, 3 bedrooms and a bonus room all have crazy comfortable beds, (bonus room looks to have a hide a bed but we never used it.) Plenty of extra pillows, blankets and cushions to make other beds! Kitchen and propane BBQ are well equipped and we don't need to bring anything but food, they have great pans, dishes, utensils and appliances to make any stay better. The hot tub is my favorite part, it is a nice Hot Spring Vanguard situated in a private garden area with towering redwoods all around it making it feel like you are in a private forest!! The home is very close to Ward beach, a great sandy beach that is a blast to hang out on and explore! A short walk or drive to the Cleone store and you have all you need nearby... I can't say enough good things about this home or the hosts. The few interactions we have had have been wonderful and friendly. They strive to protect your privacy but are just a VRBO message away if you had a need or a question. I have already booked for 2026 and hope to be back with our kids and their kids soon!

The location of the property was great — nestled in a quiet neighborhood, which made for peaceful mornings and restful nights. We also appreciated how close it was to local attractions and amenities.Unfortunately, our stay was affected by a few significant issues. The downstairs area had an overwhelming moldy, musty smell that made it uncomfortable to spend time there. It seemed persistent and not just a matter of airing out the space.Additionally, we were surprised to find a camera on the property that had not been disclosed in the listing. This made us feel uneasy and raised concerns about privacy during our stay. While the setting had potential, these issues prevented us from fully enjoying the experience fully.

Very clean and spacious house. Impressed with how complete the kitchen was stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. Nice and quiet location, but near Fort Bragg and a lot of state parks. The little store just down the road was surprisingly well stocked for overlooked items.

What a great home, fully stocked with equipment and utensil for cooking. Hot tube setting surrounded by redwoods. Just lively. I would stay here again. Only concern is tge set of stairs to main floor. If your ok to climb tgen its the perfect place. We want to return again next year.

Simply amazing! This was our fifth time spending a week at Chateau Cleone with the family. I can't say enough about how wonderful this home and the hosts are. Yes in a great location close to beaches and shopping yet private. The home is perfect as it is clean comfortable and has been well maintained and is stocked for most anything you need. The hot tub nestled in the redwoods is amazing and we look forward to coming back next year!

Spacious and Comfortable

Spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen stocked with a great variety of cooking supplies (although, oddly, no dinner-size plates). We especially loved sitting on the west-facing deck on sunny afternoons. The heating system is a bit loud, but with the moderate temperatures at Fort Bragg, heat really wasn't necessary. We just used it briefly to take the chill off. As others have mentioned, the hot tub encircled by redwoods was magical!Definitely recommended!

We were close by to everything, but still felt like a secluded space with lots of privacy. The house was large and outfitted with everything we could have wanted. Extra blankets in the closet, firewood, and all of the amenities.

I liked this place but the crown jewel, the hot tub in the grove of trees, was inoperable. I tried to call, email, and text the owners but they didn’t get back to me until about a week after I left.

Nice House

Stayed for 4 nights. Everything was in very good order. Did not realize this was an older home, probably build in the late 60's or early 70's. Still everything was very functional, despite the lack of water pressure in the kitchen when someone was using the shower. Also, water took awhile to heat up. Also, one had to make sure, as stated in the instructions, not to run the dishwasher and the microwave at the same time, or the breaker would trip, and all electricity on the south side of the house would be out. Unless the repair of this was very cost prohibitive, the property owners might consider fixing this problem. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay. The layout of the house was lovely, with plenty of room to spread out. Very comfortable beds with plenty of covers during cold nights. The hosts were very gracious and responded to all our email enquires.

Amazing Family Vacation

This property was absolutely spotless upon check in. Everything was exactly as described and the location was perfect. The reverse floor plan is great for families and the spa was such a nice treat to end each day. I highly recommend for any family visiting the area and hope to stay again in the future.

Simply Wonderful

This place is wonderful! We have stayed here multiple times and plan on staying again as soon as we can! We love the house and the location. You can tell the owners care about their property because they are always doing little upgrades that makes it a more pleasant experience. The beds are crazy comfortable The Wi-Fi works great and the hot tub is spectacular!
