We did not receive a property that appeared professionally cleaned. Dirt was in every corner, and the front yard was covered with dead branches and chopped tree debris.The listing advertised two bathrooms, but one is a converted laundry room with no exhaust, leaving the ceiling covered in mould. This is a health concern.By the second day, the upstairs shower stopped working due to its age. Twelve people had to share one shower for the rest of the stay, which was completely unacceptable.The pillows were old and uncomfortable, and the overall quality did not match the price we paid. Several ground‑floor door knobs were rusty and difficult to use, showing poor maintenance.What made the experience worse was receiving pages of excessive “house rules,” including instructions to vacuum the property. These were sent after the cancellation window had closed, which I consider bad‑faith practice.The spa rules were so restrictive that they effectively discouraged us from using it at all.If these are your expectations, they should be disclosed before booking. Transparency is essential.Finally, the listing claims the property is “Lakefront.” This is false. A lakefront home sits directly on the shoreline with immediate access to the water. Your property is at least a 12‑minute walk from the lake. This is misleading and should be corrected.
