This rental looks exactly like the photos and is absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need and more, and the view out the back windows and from the deck is lovely. There is plenty of seating and space for everyone, and the ping pong table is a great bonus. The neighborhood is quiet and fun to explore. I highly recommend this rental!

We had the best time in this house. The place looks better than in the picture and has everything you need. The house itself is beautiful with a great view of the surrounding trees, spacious, modern and just overall lovely. The location is great, a few minutes walking distance to a local store and 16 m to Johnson Beach and downtown. We loved every minute of our stay and already planning our return.

Haven in the woods

My 2 adult daughters and I gathered as a act of love and tribute to our lifelong relationships and honoring all we have been through together. I made all their childhood favorite foods, and so the kitchen was perfectly stocked with many great cooking utensils and everything I needed plus more. We never ate out or stepped out except for a walk in the Redwoods. The house was so inviting with wonderful open space with a back wall window that invited all the greenery right into the living space. It was our save haven to celebrate our gratitude for each other. Thank you!

Great stay in Russian River for wine tatsting

I have never been in Russian River for wine tasting so after a quick visits to Yosemite, my wife, brother and sister-in-law decided to check it out. We found Somms Rest after having to change stays due to an overbooking at a place in Santa Rosa. I’m sure glad we did. Forestville is a small quaint town and Somms Rest is on the northern side of Fosestville which makes it perfect to get to many, many wineries. The place is very well stocked with items you need for preparing meals. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious and comfortable as is the open concept living room and kitchen. I don’t have any pictures to post but the ones on the listing represent it well. Would definitely stay here again if we ever make another trip to Russian River Valley.

Fabulous Place!

Fantastic place! Wonderful layout and furnishing. Owners generously provide coffee, spices and condiments for cooking. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. Beds are comfortable. The great room is a wonderful place to hang out with friends and family. Spacious and cozy all at the same time. They also provide many puzzles and games to play. House instructions are clear and also include great suggestions for things to do in the area. Looking forward to staying here again.

We liked this property. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen pantry was well stocked with essentials. While this isn't the owner's fault, the neighborhood was kind of rundown and the neighbor's dog barked constantly at night.

Amazing stay!

My family and I had an exceptional experience after staying a weekend at Somms Rest. So much so that we booked another stay before we even checked out! A day before our stay, we receiving thorough instructions on how to access the home as well as checkout instructions. The home was clean and stocked with plenty of home essentials which made us feel at home. The hosts were also extremely attentive in ensure a comforting stay. We lookforward to our return! :)

Perfect in every detail

Fantastic home. The owners have obviously rented places in the past and have created a perfect rental. Great floor plan, comfy beds, totally stocked kitchen. A true pleasure. Will return for sure.

Cute home near wineries

We stayed one night in this cute,well appointed home. There was everything we needed and more. We easily could’ve stayed more nights. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were large and fully functional. Kitchen was large with anything you needed. The home was also beautifully decorated. I was warned that there was no cell service and that was true. The WiFi worked well.

Cute three bedroom house with a great deck view. Close to great restaurants and for floating down the river. Great wineries near by to enjoy sips of wine and small plates.

Russian River Area Comfort and Convenience

Not our first stay at this lovely home which is impeccably clean, comfortable and thoughtfully well-stocked for short term guests. Also conveniently located near a market for supplies and major routes to all the area sights yet tucked away on a quiet side street. The one downside is that cell phones do not work from this location!! Need to use FaceTime or WhatsApp to make calls. And, the Internet service provided is fine. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Great host with superb attention to detail

We really enjoyed our stay. Instructions left throughout the house made it easy and host sense of humor made it fun. All drawer were labeled, and host book was thorough. We especially enjoyed making latte's in the morning! Thank you!

Beautiful, clean, and very comfortable stay

We had a great time staying in the property. It was very clean, the photos represent it perfectly, the beds were very comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The check in process was seamless. Overall, it felt like we were staying at the home of a friend. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway, but not too far from many activities. We happened to be there during an atmospheric river weather event and lost power very briefly one night. The property manager was very helpful throughout the entire stay and checked in on us via text regularly to make sure all was well and we had flashlights, blankets, etc. We were ready, but didn’t end up needing them. I would love to stay here next time I’m in town.
