Our stay was incredible. Elizabeth was a very generous host and went above and beyond making sure we felt welcomed and comfortable. The cabin was well appointed and beautiful. The setting was gorgeous. Being within a Redwood grove adds an extra element of grounding and majesty. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return.

Such a great place to escape to and wonderful hosts. The home is beautiful. Elizabeth and Mark put a lot of effort into making it a great experience- from recommendations for restaurants and walking trails, to providing a coffee bar, beverages, and snacks- no detail is overlooked. Super clean, super updated, feels high end and home-y / welcoming at the same time. Will certainly return. Thanks for a great week long vacation in a beautiful home

This is a really beautiful, modern home in a quiet and peaceful redwood forest, while still being less than a 10 minute drive from groceries, dining, etc. The kindness and generosity of the host cannot be overstated. We loved our stay!

Hidden gem in the woods.

Stayed at the property for a few days during a vacation through Northern California. The property was perfect for my family and a perfect hub for exploring the surrounding area. The host was amazing and even provided bins of toys for our child to use while there. If I return to the area I hope this property is available for another stay.

Peaceful, Perfect Stay!

Treat yourself to a stay at this cabin! We rent often-- Elizabeth was exceptionally service-oriented and friendly. The cabin was extra special in regards to decor, bed comfort, and having everything you need. We especially enjoyed the sound system that we set on spa music throughout the cabin. Starlink (recently installed) worked great for us just enough to stay in touch by text and emails, phone was a bit spotty. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay for relaxation, while still being close to wineries and Santa Rosa area restaurants that we love. Don't hesitate to book here!

Cabin in the Enchanted Forest

Believe everything you've read in the reviews. Truely a wonderful home in amazing redwoods. Cleanliness is impecable and Elizabeth is beyone a super host. You won't find a more accomodating host and just wonderful person. If there were more than five stars to give we would. Don't miss a chance to stay there.

You've Found a Gem

This is a really unique property that gives you the opportunity to stay tucked in a remote neighborhood, while also being within close proximity to some wonderful hiking, restaurants, wineries, and even the coast. Elizabeth is a top-tier host, who will make sure that you're comfortable, from booking through checking out. We had a blast. Highly recommended.

Wonderful getaway

We spent 4 wonderful days at this property in early November. It was very nice, with many little details that added to the enjoyment of our stay including a well-stocked refrigerator, coffee service, and fresh flowers in vases. It is very quiet and somewhat isolated, in the forest so not much sunlight but beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings, it got cold outside and the floors were cold, so we appreciated the heated floors in the bathroom. There is no cell phone service in the area (it disappears a few miles from the house), but there is internet at the house. It was a little unreliable but fine for checking email and news. One odd note is that the master bedroom has no window coverings on the lovely floor to ceiling windows. We were there during the week so no one was around, but it still had a fishbowl feeling in the evenings with the lights on. The area is a little far away from the wineries we enjoy, so we did quite a bit of driving. There is no forest trail nearby for early morning or afternoon walking, so we drove elsewhere for these activities. Forestville is a small community and the restaurants there were mostly closed while we were present. The Farmhouse Inn is amazing, but being Michelin-starred, fairly pricey. And we drove to other restaurants, incorporating this into our planned itinerary so it wasn't a problem. All in all it was very much what we expected from a cabin in the woods, only better.

Exceptional!

This cabin in the redwoods is an exceptional getaway for anyone who enjoys peace and nature. We were visited by hummingbirds every morning and watched the deer roam around in the evening. It is a short drive to all of wine country, especially the Russian River valley. Communicating with Elizabeth was wonderful and she made a personalized experience for my wife and me who were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. A great place you will not forget!

Wonderful Forestville cabin

Very quiet, comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. We enjoyed our stay and the location. It was amazing to be surrounded by redwoods. We could even see them through the skylights! We how to return!

Delightful redwoods retreat

We had a lovely stay at the cabin, which is located in a very tranquil area of the redwoods. It is beautiful and a great place to unwind but also conveniently located for visiting the area. The cabin had everything we needed for a long stay and our host, Elizabeth, was extremely helpful and made our stay wonderful. We will be back!

Clean and Cozy

We stayed here during a very rainy January so we did not get to experience most of the outdoor space this property has to offer, however it is very cute and quiet. We really enjoyed waking up surrounded by Redwoods and it is not far to fantastic wineries and restaurants. Elizabeth, the host, was very communicative and helpful and truly made this a wonderful experience.

Very nice time!

Our stay was very nice and communication from the owner was above and beyond! Thought for improvement on listing: the listing should say "Pets allowed with approval by owner". We had a bit of a mix up on that but all worked out very nicely.

Perfect getaway and base for exploring Russian River Valley vineyards; main challenge was finding the house the first time (great instructions) and dealing with spotty internet (typical of the entire surrounding area ... just needed to plan ahead; provided a great opportunity to "unplug" more than usual, talk more, and dig into a good book); we'll be back

Relaxation Retreat

My wife and I completely enjoyed our time in Forestville. Our hostess was very helpful and responsive to our questions. She provided excellent recommendations for wine tasting and places of interest to visit. We hope to return for a getaway soon.
