Peaceful and private
A lovely, quiet country property within easy reach of the convenience of Orange. The pool was a huge hit with the kids - great size and very clean. The house was well equipped with everything you need, including a generous welcome hamper. Books, games, TVs, wifi etc. We were a bit concerned about the lack of air con given it was mid-summer, but even though the days were warm the house stayed cool, and the elevation gave us a beautiful cool breeze every night. A wonderful stay.

Just Amazing
Thanks a lot Mary for making our long weekend very special... lets talk about property ... 6 bedrooms... amaxi g kitchen... lots goodies provided by Mary 😀... we enjoyed every bit of it I was amazed with the way had those instructions..it helped a lot In regards to the priperty...forntyard backyard...SPOT ON....PERFECT HOLIDAYS...kids were outdoorsnost of the time... Thanks again.... we will definately visit the place again.

Excellent house for family stay
My family and I stayed at “Orangewood” for my mum’s 70th birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The children loved the toy room and the wide selection of board games and books available. The adults enjoyed having two sitting areas near fire places and the well equipped kitchen. We appreciated the heaters and electric blankets. It would be great to stay there one time in Summer to make use of the great sized pool too.

A relaxing retreat
"Orangewood" is a very comfortable 5 bedroom home that perfectly suited our family country getaway in April. Mary, the owner, organised a very generous welcome food basket with an array of local products, including fresh eggs. The sun streamed in to the kitchen/family room area, an area which was ideal for meals. Two wood burning fireplaces warmed us at night. The charming village of Millthorpe is a short drive down the road and I can highly recommend the Millthorpe Hotel for dinner. "Tonic" is a very popular high end restaurant as well. If you are looking for a spacious home situated in the countryside with stunning rural scenery, this is the place!

each year we have three family weekends to celebrate all the birthdays, and have a get together ritual One is away in accomodation, farmstays, beach houses, wine areas etc Ths house worked well for uus, a pool, plenty of living area, several leisure areas, good atmosphere and a bas e for Orange And good value Nice stay Thank you

'ORANGEWOOD' DELIGHT
A fabulous property close to historic Millthorpe and Orange which is perfect for a family. So much space inside and out for children to explore. Fabulously equipped kitchen, great lounge areas and all bedrooms with comfortable beds. I highly recommend this property and thanks to Mary for being so easy to deal with, answering all my questions and providing such a great place for a family holiday. Robyn S November 2022

Country Cosiness
A beautiful property. Loved the fireplaces. Lovely large kitchen with everything in it. The only criticism is that an extra bathroom would have helped with ten adults, but we managed. Would absolutely stay again. We all enjoyed the surrounds and the recommendations to wineries etc. 🙏

Spacious and cosy home in a beautiful setting
Wonderful place spacious enough for our group of eleven from 3 families. We found the two sitting areas with fireplaces quite homely and cosy which made sitting around chatting with a glass of wine, a relaxing experience. The quite literally Orange sunrise made us brave enough to venture out for few photographs at 6am despite single digit temperatures. Wish we had more that two nights to enjoy the place more.

My new favourite place
What a wonderful stay. Absolutely perfect for what we were after. We loved the house layout, multiple lounges gave the kids and parents separate areas with the central kitchen great for meals. Loved the real fires and the grounds and the outlook was breathtaking. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Family Days
We were a mature family group from NSW and Qld. We got together to celebrate a 70th birthday. Everyone loved the views and felt very relaxed in the surroundings. Plenty of room and very well equipped.

Perfect for us
Our group had a great stay! The house is in a great location and is very well set up for groups. There was everything we needed! The welcome basket was enjoyed by everyone. The living space was enormous both inside and out. The location was stunning and being out of town maybe us all relaxed. The views were easy to take in every day. Our only disappointment was that that we were not staying longer! We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here!

Relaxing Multi Family Stay
Lovely break just a few hours from Sydney. We loved the pool that has a spectacular view and comfortably appointed house with room to spread out. Also appreciated that linen, towels, soap and shampoo were included as well as pantry baisics and fabulous gift basket of local produce. We’ll be back!

Gorgeous property - exceptional time
I went away to this property with two other families. The layout was perfect - two living areas - both with fireplaces. Snowing outside but warm and cosy inside. The property was very well designed - it took advantage of the northern sun. The kids had a wonderful time - they went on walks and got outside to play ball - just in front of the beautiful view. Every need was met. From electric blankets on the beds to condiments in the cupboard. We were also left an enormous hamper of local produce. This included wines, cakes, jams, pickles, eggs, speciality salts, lemon butter, local museli (with hazelnuts) and more. Thanks to the host for making our stay so special.

Wonderful stay
My friends and I had a wonderful time at this property, you could not ask for anything more. The property owner was more than generous, there was many goodies for us when we arrived and we felt so at home. It was very difficult for us to leave. Thank you Mary for making our stay so wonderful.

A beautiful country home with a massive pool!
What a great getaway from the city. The property is expansive and the views are spectacular. We travelled here for a summer break and even though it was big for our family, the pool sold us. When we got there, it was better than expected. I think we would return at some point in the future - maybe with some friends to fill the extra rooms.

Wandering Retirees
Ideal for a "getaway". Clean, well maintained, total privacy and if you decide to venture out (we did not), then there are a number of places to explore close by. Will no doubt return and highly recommended.

Gorgeous house in stunning location!
We had a wonderful long weekend staying at this beautiful house with another family. It was absolutely perfect! The house has everything you need to make you feel at home (including a very well equipped kitchen and a lovely welcome hamper!). It was lovely during winter, with two fireplaces which warmed the house up nicely. Lots of living space, and 5 bedrooms to spread out. Our kids also loved the playroom - so many new toys to play with! The particular highlight is the location. The house is at the top of the hill, and has incredible 360 degree views of green, rolling countryside all around. It's just beautiful! Amazing sunrises & sunsets, and a perfect spot to soak up nature. We loved it!

Get that Real Country Feeling
Situated on-top of a hill with commanding views of the surrounding countryside this large country house easily sleeps many with ample indoor spaces to relax in. The outdoor pool was clean and large and was a blessing on those hot days. A well stocked kitchen with plenty of space to create your culinary masterpieces. A bit of a drive back to Orange but once you are here it will be quite easy to settle in for a few days. We stayed in summer but with a fireplace this could be a good place to hunker down in during those cold winter days and nights.

Lovely rural retreat close to Orange
This is a fantastic place to stay with a larger group if you want a rural location, large house and swimming pool but only 20minutes drive from Orange. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous property!
This house exceeded our expectation- the property is beautiful, very clean and was bigger than we expected so it comfortably fit a group of adults. All the essentials were provided e.g. soap, towels as well as lots of cooking supplies. Absolutely loved our stay here!

We had a wonderful stay at Orangewood. Everything was so easy and we had everything we needed. Loved the extra touch of champagne and pickles ! Would 100% recommend it for anyone!

Wonderful escape to the country!
Orangewood is a beautiful property for a group to escape from everyday life! We were wonderfully surprised when we arrived at the property to see the space and that incredible view. It is the perfect place for groups of family and friends - there is plenty of room to have a quiet moment and lots of space to eat, lounge, swim and enjoy yourself as a group.

Wonderful views, fully stocked kitchen, high chairs and kids toys!
"Orangewood" far exceeded our expectations. The house is fully stocked with everything you'd need for a weekend away. The owners left eggs, homemade relishes and a Christmas tree which was a really nice surprise. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely property, very spacious we had 9 adults and 2 small children and were not crowded.
The views are great, the house well provided for with 2 bathrooms, a toy room with lots of toys, 2 fireplaces, good sized lounge rooms and plenty of sofas, good kitchen and equipment, BBQ and games/videos. Very quiet location on a farm, 20 -30 minutes to Orange and 20 minutes to a quaint town of Millthorpe with a quality restaurant, café, pizza and general store.

Wonderful boutique country home.
We booked this venue with 2 other families while on a trip with our children and were not disappointed. All rooms were delightfully decorated and prestige. The two different wings in the house enabled some adult and privacy time during our weekend. the view is to die for.

Beautiful big house insufficient heating
The house itself is fantastic in a beautiful location. Rooms and beds were cosy. Fireplaces were good but not enough to heat up the house in the winter months. We were all having to stay around the fires or were too cold.

Hi - Thanks Louise for feedback. Sorry the 9 fan heaters didn't do the job for you due to the electrical issue we discovered later of another faulty heater. When all the heaters and fireplaces are going well and left on, the house is warm and insulated. With bookings almost every weekend, we know usually guests have a comfortable time regardless of how cold it gets so apologies yours wasn't optimal.
