Summary:

The Oyster Catcher is a 3 bedroom 2 bath beach house located 2 blocks from the beach. This historic family friendly house has been home to many vacationers from all over. This house is perfect for large families or groups looking for a quaint and cozy beach house. We are just a walk to the beach and a stones throw to Folly's famous Berts Corner Market and local hang out, Chico Feo. Enjoy the beach with ease or walk to the bustling Center Street for all of Folly's fabulous restaurants and shops.



The Space:

The house is perfect for families or groups of 7. We sleep 7 comfortably in beds. The house can accommodate 9 with 2 people on a queen sleeper sofa. There is a large screened in front porch to lounge on and a back deck for grilling and dining. This historic house has all the charm of an old beach house with all the original pine flooring.The back yard is large and fenced in for your furry four legged friends.



Please NOTE: There is an additional Pet fee. We will send the pet fee request separately after you book. :)



The yard is also big enough for BOAT parking with a gate. A lot of brush and bushes for privacy from neighboring houses.



Folly Beach was incorporated in 1928. This house was one of the first houses built on Folly in 1929.



Guest Access:

You will have the entire house. Including the parking in front of the house and the entire back yard.



The Neighborhood:

We are located between the 3rd and 4th block of Folly Beach, just 2 blocks from the public beach access. Our house is around the corner from Bert's, Folly's local 24 hour market and local hangout, Chico Feo.



Folly Beach is a city on Folly Island, in South Carolina, just south of Charleston. It’s home to Folly Beach Pier, stretching more than 1,000 feet into the ocean. Center Street is lined with surf and souvenir shops. Folly Beach County Park has picnic areas and a pelican rookery. As well as beaches and wildlife-rich habitats, Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve has views of Morris Island Lighthouse, completed in 1876.



Getting Around:

We are located in the Heart of Folly. You can walk, ride bikes, rent golf carts or uber. You won't need your car once you get to the Island. You can walk to everything on Folly. If you are interested in visiting Charleston we are about a 20 min drive to the City.



***Please ask us about renting the golf cart for a fun way to get around the island. Please note the golf cart is not included in the rental and is additional fee. The golf cart is also based on availability and is first come first serve.



Other Things to Note:

***Health and safety is our number one concern for our guests and staff. We are proud to commit to bringing a safe and clean environment for each of our Guests. In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic we have increased our cleaning protocols in accordance with the Center for Disease Control and adopted a new enhanced cleaning system to stop the spread of any germs in between guests. If you have any questions about our new protocols please just ask. We will be happy to provide you with our checklists and guidelines. We want to reassure our guests they will be entering a clean and safe environment on their vacation.



This is an older house. The house has been in the family for 30 plus years. There have been a few renovations over the years. This house has that old beach house charm. We ask that you treat this house like your home. This house is not a party house.

If a Mandatory Evacuation Order for Folly Beach is given during the dates of your stay, The Owner/Host or the Property Management Company shall refund 100% of all deposits, payments and / or monies paid by the traveler within 72 hours. Owner/Host or Property Management Company shall have no further liability with respect to the Reservation. Please note that if there is inclement weather in the other 49 states, prohibiting the traveler (or guests in traveler’s group) from getting to Charleston, a refund will not be issued and, Owner/Host or Property Management Company shall have no liability with respect to the Reservation. During months where there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly suggest travelers obtain insurance.



We have a concierge service that will be here to offer you suggestions on Boat tours, Kayaking Tours, Paddle Boarding tours, Surf Lessons, Boat Charters, and/or recommendations at restaurants. Please let us know if it is a special occasion or you are celebrating something.
