Check in was smooth and effortless. All instructions for check in and check out were simple and clear. Cottage was very clean and well stocked. We had a small issue at the property and the management sorted it quickly, helpfully and thoughtfully- exactly what you would hope for and what so many properties do not deliver. Location is great and we loved the thoughtful, original and ‘curated’ consistency of decor. So much fun….. we will seekOut this property in the future.

Great authentic beach house steps from the sand

This was a great house and value. The place was perfect for our family of 4. It’s just steps from two public beach access points. The house was as described, and the rental management was as in contact with us throughout our stay. The yard, porches and driveway were all great too. If you have tiny children it may be bit too far for them to walk to center of town, but non problem for bigger kids, teens or adult. A great stay. I highly recommend it!

Quaint house

We loved this property! A little old charm. The kids loved the hammock in the back yard. It was only a very short walk to the beach which was amazing. We were also located to where we could walk to the restaurants. Loved it here!!

Could use some TLC but good location.

The interior of the home could use some updating and care. Downstairs bathroom floor was chipping and one of the bed frames in the downstairs room wouldn’t stay together (ended up using a ratchet strap to keep it together). There were also some ants in the kitchen throughout the stay; not an infestation but enough to be an annoyance. However, plenty of space for two families of four and the yard and front porch were great. Location was also hard to beat. The house is easily within walking distance of both the beach and downtown so we didn’t have to bother with fighting for parking spots.

Location, Location, Location

You cannot beat the location of this house! The beach is across the street and you are close enough to walk to Center Street. Having four young children this was one of our top priorities. Having two floors of living space was awesome, as was the screened in porch in the evenings. The pictures online showed a bunk bed on the top floor which had been replaced with a full for our stay which was disappointing. The condition of the house left a lot to be desired. We liked the lived in, well loved beach cottage vibe we picked up from the listing photos but upon arrival, the place just needs a good scrub. The floor is chipping away in several places in the bathroom and kitchen, the leather has worn through on the arms of the chairs, there are holes in the screened in porch which allowed birds in when we first arrived and there was a hole in the ceiling downstairs where insulation was coming through. We have stayed on Folly several times before and are aware of the bugs common to island life, however, we found more than usual inside the house during our stay. Of minor concern was the TV that only receives about 3-5 channels and they only had 2 kids DVDs in the house. We by no means needed fancy, top of the line accommodations traveling with kids, but cleanliness goes a long way.

Older but great

Great older home with great character. Easy walk to restaurants and beach. Would definitely stay at this home again. Thought it had a ping pong table so some of the crowd was disappointed that there wasn’t one

We had a relaxed and fun week! The bathrooms could use some upgrading but otherwise the house was perfect.
