A wonderful family home…

The moment we walked in the vibe of the home was palpable— a place where family is centric, a place where you feel lots of loving memories have been made, a place where it is obvious family is the focus. So many games to play and the owners are so generous to offer use of beach towels, yeti coolers, even dog water bowls, pool toys etc. Something about a home where the owners want guests to have a great time even in their absence is so endearing. Cute notes are scattered all around encouraging guests to relax and have fun— even a note for a beachy drink recipe! Our family had a unforgettable week at Surf ‘n Turf! We will rent again…

Fun time at Surf &Turf

Very cute beach house with a funky layout. The only two “negatives” were 1) the staircase to the upstairs sleeping loft area were extremely steep and could be a safety problem for some people (children and the elderly), and 2) one the bedrooms on the main level containing the trundle bed was really too small to use the trundle. Other than those two things the house was pleasant and fun. The screened in porch was wonderful for dining and the different outdoor seating areas were great. Nice location too.

Great location and pool

This house is in an ideal location with respect the beach and has a great pool and lower deck space. The screened in porch made for a great place to eat meals. I did feel the house was not in as good of condition as the pictures suggested but the furniture was all clean and seemed new. The management company was very responsive and polite. Loved the credit for the beach gear; made a big difference for us to have chairs and toys for the beach!

Location and Pool are everything!

We loved our stay! The pool truly makes this place and just steps from beach access. The inside is very comfortable but you won’t want to be in there because of the beautiful patios.

Surf N Turf

Fantastic property at which to stay. It had everything we needed, and even things we didn't know that we needed. Loved how the door locks worked. Loved the rooftop seating area. Loved the location to the beach. Loved having a Keurig in the kitchen. Great place for our family to stay. We will come back to Folly Beach, SC.

Best COVID Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway to the Surf n Turf! The location was perfect - whether you wanted to walk over to the beach (access is right there!!) or float in the pool. We needed a little girl's trip to unwind from 2020, and this was the perfection location!

Folly Beach Family Trip

Everyone absolutely loved Surf and Turf. The close proximity to the beach worked out great. Having the pool was even better since we had young kids along. House was clean and well kept. Honestly the perfect house for visiting Charleston/Folly Beach area.

Multi-Deck House with a Pool

We had an amazing time at this beach house for the week! My young children LOVED the multiple decks and the views from the rooftop were amazing. The pool was the perfect size for young swimmers and adults alike. The house was adorably decorated, spacious, and even had a 3rd full bath we didn't notice for 3 days! The beds were super comfortable and it was nice having essentials in the kitchen (Salt and pepper, cooking oil, spices, coffee and filters, etc.). There was a pathway literally across the street to the beach so it was easy to go back and forth if needed. We had a great time and will absolutely book this place again!

Loved Surf N Turf

The house is lovely and suited our party of five wonderfully. There were still beds to spare. A short walk across the dunes to the beach made for beautiful mornings. We found plenty to do on Folly Beach and also drove the 20-30 ride into Charleston a few times. The house is clean and bright and welcoming. We really appreciated the hospitality! I would definitely book this property again.

Loved the house unhappy with booking agent vrbo & won't use them again

Loved the property but won't use vrbo again because the "handling" fees weren't disclosed at the time I rented but just charged to my card 3 days later (which happened to put them on the next statement so I wasn't aware for almost a month). I called and it would've cost more to cancel & book direct with Carolina One. Just not happy with your booking service.

The house was very well stocked, the views from the deck were amazing. Quick walk to the beach, close to restaurants. There was plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfortable. Will stay here again for sure!

Nice house to spend a weekend at.

Had a great weekend on the beach, but the pool was unusable for most of our stay due to the hurricane, and it was hard to stay on the beds in the attic more than a few nights.

Not as advertised

Very disappointed. Property is nothing like the pictures. These pictures are very dated. Yard is not maintained as pics show and landscapers covered our vehicles with debris and told us to not worry over it. There is no grill area at all. Driveways are completely covered with overgrown trees, we had to pay for daily parking for our porsche and rubicon to avoid sap and limbs. Condemned,boarded up house is the only view you have while making morning coffee. Roaches everywhere. House was not cleaned before we arrived. Pool leaked water. Deck is very old and weathered. Master bed was broke. Curtains were only half attached to the wall and falling off. Dishwasher flooded kitchen. Had to accept a furniture delivery for the rental company, but yet the wicker outdoor furniture pictured was actually dollar tree plastic chairs. Only view we had off the decks was of construction dumpsters in front of the house. Rented for family and friends for our wedding week, thank goodness our wedding was so amazing that we made the best of the nightmare our accommodations were. We are folly regulars and will not be renting here ever again, I'm not sure I'd stay here for free. I've never left a vacation early due to accommodations and we left 24hrs ahead of checkout. Too many nice places on folly to waste time and money at Surf n Turf. Will be happy to provide current pictures to anyone needing them but not allowed to leave my contact info.

Great location...old home

We had a great time in general in Folly Beach and visiting Charleston. The location of this property is key. Located just a street away from the beach and a few blocks from the main area of Folly where all the restaurants, bars and shops are. Unfortunately, the house is old and needs lots of updates. The bugs were the biggest issue. We found ants crawling all over, esp. in our coffee cake the next morning. Bugs were in 2 of the bathroom tubs...leaving us only 1 clean shower. The toilets had dirty ring marks. The floors were sandy and dirty upon entering. The pool was filthy upon arrival with sand, leaves, and branches. The fridge was barely cold. The management co did come and fix the cold water, toilet not flushing and clean the pool for us immediately when we called. They were great. The house would have been great if they put some money into updating the beds, pillows, bathrooms, appliances and cleaned it really well as long as take care of the bug issues.

Great location and a fun setup

Overall the stay was great. The house, decks and outdoor furniture are all a bit dated but we didn't mind. It was clean but this is really a beach house so don't expect hotel-clean. VERY short walk to the beach, great views from the top deck and roomy for the guests.

Lovely Beach House

Loved it! Close to the beach, close to great restaurants, and a short drive to historic Charleston. The house has a great open layout, beautiful themed decor, and a relaxed atmosphere. We felt right at home including our dog, who got to run around the spacious yard. There is everything you need for a successful vacation and we would love to come back soon.

Great location, pool was perfect!

House was in a great location, beach access is just across the street. The house was well laid out, perfect for 3 couples and a toddler. Would recommend new couches (saggy and not very comfortable), updated refrigerator (doesn't get very cold) and new mattress in baster bedroom. Floors could use a good scrubbing also. Other than that, it was perfect. The pool was fantasic after a day on the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

It was exactly what we needed!

The place was great! It had everything we needed and more. With an abandoned house in front and to the left of the house as well as a wooded area to the right, we felt like we were on our own island. It met and exceeded our expectations. We definitely plan on coming back to this spot. We also had friends that were stating in Folly across the island and they came to check it out. They are now definitely interested in renting this place as well soon. Our only complaint was that the beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. A few of us did not sleep well at all the entire trip. I would recommend memory foam toppers or something of that nature. Despite that, we will recommend this place to others as well as be back ourselves. Thank you for the awesome house!
