Upon arrival, we were immediately met with a strong urine odor throughout the main room. We contacted the host and opened windows to air it out, but it was an unpleasant start to our stay. The screen door to the exterior was broken and inoperable. The refrigerator's ice and water dispenser did not function — and given how quickly the host produced a case of water and two bags of ice, it was clear this was a known issue that was never disclosed. We were also never informed prior to arrival that major construction was underway next door, blocking sidewalks and generating significant noise throughout our stay. When we raised our concerns, the host indicated nothing could be done until our departure — so we made the decision to leave a full day early. The urine smell had fully saturated the carpet, rugs, and main living area, making the space uninhabitable. Guests deserve far better transparency and accountability. We are requesting a full refund.
