    Super spacious, clean and well stocked home. We spent lots of time on the screened porch enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. Folly holds a special place for us and this was the perfect way to revisit and celebrate.

    Great family stay

    This was an ideal house for our family of adult children. We loved the screened in porch, the open space interior, and all the kitchen amenities. And the beach, right there. So beautiful. Property management was excellent in responding very quickly to an issue we were having with electricity. . Highly recommend.

    Perfect family vacation spot for true rest and relaxation.

    This house is perfect for all ages. The screened back porch was perfect for my 18 month old granddaughter. She was safe from harm and enjoyed watching people and the birds. The beach access was worth every penny so we could go in and out with the baby without packing up a ton of stuff. Everyone enjoyed walking out to sit on the beach whenever they wanted to. This house was perfect for us.

    Family Beach Week

    This was a great house with great amenities. The location of the property is perfect. Access to the beach is easy, and right out your back door. The outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing beach items and yourself before coming in. The screened porch is the highlight of this house. We spent so much time throughout the day out here. The kitchen is well stocked. We made meals for a large family all week. The kitchen has everything but a crockpot! There were a few items that could be better. The elevator didn’t work. Not a big deal but a perk for groceries, etc. The extra ice maker was broken. Also an added perk, but something advertised with the rental that wasn’t operational. The ice maker in the fridge struggles to drop ice properly so you couldn’t get it out through the door. Lastly, if someone is paying premium price for a week at the beach, I want to be able to put my A/C on whatever comfort level is appropriate for my family. 72 isn’t. It was warm at night and this was with fans on, shades pulled all day, and no other options. If the HVAC units can’t handle it, it’s time for new ones!

    Great Family Beach Home

    Our family converged on Folly for a weeks vacation. The house was perfect. It had everything needed to support our group of 10. The kitchen was completely stocked- to include a nice shaker and picks for olives in the martinis! My husband fell in love with the ice maker. And having everything there for a dog was another amazing treat! We never felt like we were on top of each other and really it was the perfect spot. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

    Christmas in Folly

    The Beachzilla was the perfect home for our family and extended family to host Christmas in Folly. Design and functionality made it easy to relax independently in our own rooms with private view of the ocean as well as congregate together in the living room with large sliding doors to feel the ocean breeze while having dinner at the large kitchen table. Kids played upstairs while playing cards and watching movies while adults enjoyed putting puzzles together on the large screened porch. Nicest home I’ve stayed at in Folly (been going every year for 10+ years) so far.

    4th of July

    We stayed as three young families - 6 adults and 5 kids all under the age of 3 - the week of July 4th. As one could imagine the trip was equal parts wonderful and madness with that parent/child ratio but the house itself was perfect. It easily fit everyone without any issues or anyone feeling too cramped. Each family had their own wings with separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Some of the appliances (notably the fridge) are at the end of their useable life and could be swapped out but they all still work well. The location is awesome - steps from the beach and there is a tidal pool filled with critters that forms at low tide at the end of the nearby jetty that was a free entertainment for kids and parents alike. Certain areas of the house do smell heavily of dog but we brought a dog with us so that is to be expected and the home/property manager is very accommodating from that perspective. Altogether it is a great property and one I would enthusiastically recommend.

    Wonderful house for family vacation

    The house was perfect for our family. The layout provided space to separate a sleeping infant from the main family room, and everyone was comfortable in their sleeping spaces. The proximity to the beach was perfect. The flow from the kitchen to the other living spaces allowed us to have a lot of family time. My favorite part of the house is the screened in porch- great for reading, napping, playing games and family dinners. We rented bikes and explored the island, and also had a golf cart- which really wasn't necessary. The only downside to the trip was the dining scene- nothing upscale on Folly Beach- you need to go into Charleston, which is close enough if traffic isn't too bad. We would definitely go to Folly Beach again just for this house.

    Great family vacation

    The beach is nice and wide in front of this property, not too busy either. There is a tide pool that you can swim and play in by the wave break when the tide is low. The mattresses in this property were very hard and quite uncomfortable, I would also recommend bringing your own pillow. We would definitely go back and stay at this same beach house again. Big enough for 2 families, 5 kids total.

    Great for multigenerational vacation

    Beachzilla was a wonderful vacation rental for our needs. We had a grandmother and grandson from WI, parents and another teen grandson (and a couple of his friends) and 2 small dogs from GA. The location on Folly Beach was perfect for our family, and the home offers space to bring everyone together but also to have some time to yourself. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Beachzilla.

    Perfection

    In February we stayed in Charleston for a month and then moved to Beachzilla in Folly for a month. An odd time with the pandemic, so it is hard to judge restaurants and other activities, but Beachzilla was absolute perfection. It was spotlessly clean, very sunny and open. The views, being right on the beach were amazing. The house was decorated so nicely and had EVERYTHING you could possibly think of. The bathrooms and bedrooms were nice hotel quality. I would give it a ten. We loved the management company as well, very responsive and helpful.
