It's not a luxury hotel! - but was functional, clean and a great option for a weekend at a festival in neighbouring town Margate. "We are a group of 8 ladies enjoying a weekend away and we had a wonderful weekend at Downs Cottage. The property was perfect… comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, superb location, sauna was a bonus and the garden was very pretty. Deal itself was a very welcoming town, friendly people. "Hidden gem is just that a hidden gem, it's location is easily walkable to the shops, restaurants, pub, the beach and much more. It's quiet enough with maybe a little noise from passing traffic, it's compact but comes with enough space for what you need and I couldn't have asked for a better host, communication was brilliant and she was happy to help with any issues I may have had. Will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near the seaside."

"Although the accommodation is small it has everything you need and plenty of storage. We only used the kettle and toaster in the kitchenette but there was a hot plate and microwave too so we could have cooked if we wanted. The garden is a lovely place to sit and hidden from the road (cul de sac) by bushes.
