Slice of paradise
We recently stayed at Misty and her husband's beautiful property with a group of 10 friends, and it was an absolute paradise. From the serene personal front yard lake complete with a tranquil waterfall to the luxurious indoor pool, the home offered everything we could have dreamed of for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was tastefully decorated and impeccably maintained, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Misty and her husband were incredibly warm and hospitable hosts, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their positive vibes added an extra layer of magic to the entire experience. We couldn't have asked for a more blissful retreat and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a slice of paradise

Amazing house, wonderful hosts!
We had an absolutely magnificent experience staying at this breathtaking property. House is huge but everything is well organized and easy to find (kitchen even has labels on each drawer!). Having an inside pool was a nice bonus - kids enjoyed it and were entertained for hours:) We couldn't have a more perfect celebration of my husband's and kids' birthday parties!!! Thank you!!

A most perfectly secluded oasis, conveniently located.
Steve & Missy thought of everything when they created this stunning get-away. Situated close to the interstate and Lake Lanier Islands, this gem is nestled in quite perfectly. Upon entering the grounds, you are welcomed by the beautiful pond with waterfalls. Driving over the bridge gives you the distinct feeling that you have pulled off the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The house is generously appointed with great attention to detail. The kitchen is a chef's dream. Every room opens into the pool and spa area. There is an endless amount of private space outdoors including the fire pit, walking trails, separate decks, the pond, as well as the dock. What an amazing space! We have already made plans to book again in several weeks.

Amazing Place that Made for an Amazing Retreat
We chose this place for our team to have our annual retreat. It was large enough and looked beautiful. The photos didn’t do this property justice. Everything was perfect and the hospitality was unmatched to any other property I’ve ever stayed. Missy really went the extra mile. The kitchen was fully stocked and very easy for the chef we hired to maneuver. The dinning room table was the perfect location for the ten of us to have our daily meetings. All of the beds were super comfy and the landscape of the property was beautiful. Definitely would want to come and stay again. This place is highly recommended.

Wonderful spacious home!
Our family selected this property for space and location for us to be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving getaway! We truly had the best time whether it was baking in the kitchen, working puzzles and playing games at the large dining table, watching football or the Thanksgiving parade as we swam in the wonderful indoor pool. We could not have had a better experience. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays and absolutely perfect for our time away.

THE BEST TRIP EVER!
Our large family trip to Misty Pond Resort was fantastic. Actually, everyone in the group agreed it was the best trip ever! This property has everything a large family could want. We had a religious retreat with just 12 of us on the property with devotions every day and lots of fun afterward. The pool was amazing. We loved the waterfall. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish and turtles. We saw deer while rocking on the porch and hiking the grounds. The lake was nice for paddle-boarding. All three grown daughters learned how. Our hosts were wonderful bringing flowers, chocolate from Switzerland and turning on the pool heat for our arrival. The driveway was easy to navigate. Not one flaw in this place, very peaceful and relaxing and so much to do. Everything you need in the kitchen and baths. We hope to return again one day.

Better than Home
The property was simply outstanding. We had plenty of space for everyone to sleep in. It is a great place to relax after a day out. Very calming and quiet surroundings that made relaxing easy for our group. The place is well kept and lives up to all its photos. Highly recommended to others.

Family Vacation
Our first impression was WOW! Misty Pond is a little piece of paradise. Missy and Steve Bentz were wonderful host and we enjoyed their presence on the property very much. We had coffee each morning enjoying the water fall from the front porch and at sunset watching the deer taking a cool drink. The fishing was great, many large strippers were caught, and we enjoyed taking a swim off one of the many island in crystal clear Lake Lanier. I enjoyed the beautiful flowers and landscaping of Misty Pond. What a wonderful week!

Beautiful home for larger group
I hosted my extended family of 17 people for a 4 night stay and this house worked fabulously. This home is beautiful inside and out. Attributes that stick out are as follows: 1). Sleeps a lot of people comfortably. 1 King and 8 queen beds, and 1 full. 2) great cooking and eating space for a larger group. Kitchen fully stocked with all that is needed. Good quality Weber gas grill 3) large beautiful wrap around porch to hang out on 4) great (and sheltered) location on Lake Lanier. On a sheltered canal (no waves expose your boat). But very easy access from this sheltered dock to the larger part of the lake. Basically boat around the corner (a couple hundred yards) and you get to the larger part of Lake Lanier. 5) an indoor pool and hot tub that would be great for off season when swimming in the lake wouldn’t be ideal. Owners are terrific. They live in a guest house on site and are Incredibly responsive but also very respectful to allow full use of the property and give you privacy. Overall, a beautiful property and a wonderful experience renting this property. 5 stars.

Family gathering
The house is very nice. Our favorites of the property were the landscaping, access to the lake (via the dock) and the wrap around porch. The many activities we were able to access at the property: swimming off the dock with the float pad, kayaks, paddle board, fishing off the dock, feeding the fish and turtles in the pond, rocking on the porch, cornhole, basketball, billiards, indoor pool, smores on the firepit, grilling out and wildlife viewing while walking through the woods. Stocking the fridge, etc. is easy with a Publix, Target, Sams Club and liquor stores all within 10 minutes.

Misty Pond at Lake Lanier
This property is beautiful, the owners are so helpful and very kind. I wish we could have stayed longer, the teens enjoyed the pool, the pool table and the basketball court.....and spent their days kayaking. My adult children and myself enjoyed coffee on the wrap around porch watching the waterfall and enjoying all the wildlife, birds, squirls and deer. Thank you Missy and Steven for your hositality, and sharing your beautiful property.

Serene Escape
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Misty Pond Resort. The grounds are meticulous and inviting with beautiful landscaping. Our hosts were great to work with and very communicative. We appreciate the fresh flowers in the kitchen and bathrooms from Missys garden. House is amazing, beds were comfortanble and fit our crew of 12 perfectly with one room left over. We especially loved the pond and waterfall. Our grandson loved feeding the fish and turtles. We were in town for a graduation, and only wish we had more time to spend here.

Perfect country setting close to all the amenities
Nestled in the hills of Lake Lanier's eastern shore sits this fabulous property that is perfect for a relaxing gathering with a large group. Easy to get to from Atlanta and only minutes away from groceries and restaurants, the home is a gem of a find for a large gathering. The indoor pool and hot tub made the trip during out December stay, and the large chef's kitchen and dining area made cooking and dining a cinch. Comfortable beds and plenty of room to spread out, the property will help anyone relax, refresh and renew in the natural setting. Take a stroll along the trail and spot deer, owls, squirrels and more. Perhaps even wet a fishing line from the dock at the lake. Whatever your heart is in the mood for, this property likely has it. Coupled with the ease of working with the owners on any special details, this rental is a special find when hosting large groups. A top pick for our group for sure.

Best family vacation!!
We had such a wonderful time at Misty Pond. Missy the owner has thought of absolutely everything and went out of her way to make our stay truly perfect. We loved watching deer in the mornings, drinking coffee on the porch and feeding the fish in the pond. The pool was so much fun for our children ages 2-13. We will definitely go back!!!!!

100 out of 10 !!! Misty pond resort was TOP NOTCH!
Misty pond resort was exactly what my family needed to end the summer before back to school ! The kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub and absolutely loved the lake, splash pad on the lake, and kayaking !!!! They did not want to leave !! The house is breathtaking the property is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful, the front wrap around porch was our go to spot on the rocking chairs with a cup of coffee each morning overlooking the beautiful pond and waterfall. Missy + Steve were amazing and so thoughtful they gave us great recommendations and answered all our questions ! They made our trip more special with a adorable welcome sign as well ! We plan on coming back to stay we truly enjoyed our trip :-).

Great place to gather
We came back to Georgia to visit family and friends. Property was in a great central location to be able to do all that we wanted to do. Lots of gathering places in the home make it a great place to catch up and entertain. It was fun to have the pool right of the kitchen so we could keep an eye on the kids. The owners were super friendly and acvomadating. Gorgeous setting! We tood lots of pictures. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for our family of the groom stay in Gainesville. The house and grounds are beautiful. Plenty of very comfortable beds and spaces for large groupings or small groups to visit! Missy and Steve we very welcoming and accommodating but not at all intrusive.

Wonderful place
What a beautiful property! The landscaping and setting were phenomenal. The house was plenty roomy for our group of 14. The pool and spa were super convenient and used daily. The dock access was a huge plus for our WaveRunner with fuel just around the corner. Renting the pontoon was fun for all. Hosts were super; answered all our questions on the area and property, and were very friendly. Overall great time on a lovely property!

Everything was PERFECT!
If you are looking for a large immaculate home with amazing amenities, beautiful grounds, plenty of room for families, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, inside and outdoor spaces for all ages you can stop looking right now! Misty Pond Resort was our choice for 11 family members traveling from Nevada for our oldest son's wedding and it was everything we wanted and MORE! Three kids and eight adults enjoyed every second of our stay! We enjoyed the sound of the waterfall as we savored our coffee on the pond each morning. The kids swam every morning and evening. We all enjoyed the hot tub and playing pool. And the pick-up basketball games with visiting friends and family was an extra treat each afternoon! Steve and Missy could not have been more gracious and accommodating. We loved that they were on site...it didn't feel intrusive at ALL! We absolutely hated to leave but now that we have family in Georgia these Nevadans feel blessed to have found our home away from home! We will definitely be coming back to stay again and again!!! Thank you for everything! Our only regret was that we didn't take advantage of the s'mores Missy left for us! We were too busy with everything else!!!

Above Reproach
The house is spectacular! We held our small wedding of 30 at Misty Pond out by the waterfall. The experience was fantastic. Missy and Steve were EXTREMELY accommodating from the beginning to the end of the process. Missy kept in communication with me about all the little details from tables and chairs to specific measurements of the foyer so I could plan remotely from Florida. The house is immaculate with 5 bedrooms and a LOT of beds. Luxury! We did the wedding outside by the waterfall and the reception inside. There was enough space for everything. The pool was fantastic fun for the kids and the firepit was nice at night. The pictures are turning out fantastic from the sneak peaks! This house would be great for a large family just wanting to relax and enjoy their time together or a small wedding. The kitchen is well appointed and had most of what we needed. Publix is super close for food needs. Two ovens, two dishwashers, a huge refrigerator, enough plates and such for the entire wedding party and an ice machine. Enough living area to spread out and not get on each other's nerves. A pool table. You really can't ask for more. I was hesitant to rent a place that the owners lived on property but Missy and Steve were not intrusive. They live above the garage. They were there for help if needed but they were not in our way or hovering. We did not use the boat as planned, we were just too busy, maybe next time. We will be back! Don't miss this one!

The property is absolutely amazing! The inside of the home was very welcoming, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The hosts Missy & Steve really went above and beyond to make sure that my family had an amazing time. This house was great for our group of friends. The kids loved the pool and pond. The property is perfectly maintained. Missy was great to work with! We will definitely come back to stay.

Perfect home and location!
If you’re looking for the perfect relaxing getaway in a private location equipped with everything , Misty Pond is the place for you! The home has everything you can possibly think of , the owner was amazing in communicating with us and answering all of our questions. We visited snow island with the family and it was a very short distance from the home . The home was very clean , and I like that the welcome book gives you everything you need , from restaurants in the area, to activities to do with your family. Thank you again for sharing your home We had a great time ! & will be visiting soon.

Everything We Could Have Asked For and More
Wow! Misty Pond Resort was amazing! I wish I could tell everyone to stay away so that I could keep it all to ourselves but it wouldn't be fair to keep this jewel a secret. The outside was absolutely beautiful and the fall colors peaking in left us in awe! When we arrived it was raining a tiny bit and we were given the visual to the aptly name property. When we arrived they had made a welcome sign for our group and left us a little welcome treat. Yum! The home and property were very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. You bring the food and the chefs and the house pretty much has you covered on appliances and utensils. There is plenty to do in and around the house including board games, cornhole, billiards, swimming, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, have I said wow yet?! Missy and Steve were there for any need we had and were fantastic hosts! Well done Missy and Steve! Once the remainder of our group left, my husband and I were given the opportunity to go for a walk alone together and really take in the beauty of the property. Wish we could take it all home with us but the memories were made are unforgettable. Thank you. We truly loved our stay at Misty Pond Resort and look forward to our next!

Top notch home on Lake Lanoer
We all truly enjoyed our time in this beautiful home. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. This included welcome gifts and flowers, a complimentary boat ride to learn about the areas of the lake, and a goodbye gift. They would respond to any question or concern promptly. They even helped me to set up an appointment with a local photographer so we could have family photographs on this gorgeous property. They left lavender on the towels and everything was clean and organized. We thoroughly enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards. We played corn he, shot baskets at the basketball hoop, fished off the dock, feed the fish in the pond, and roasted marshmallows in the backyard. We rented a boat from a local marina and went tubing and beached the boat on our own "little island" . The kids went swimming in the indoor pool while the adults relaxed in the hot tub. Overall, we all had lots of fun and hope to go back again soon!

A must stay at property!
The property was spectacular! Our expectations very high when we booked this home and they were exceeded. Communication with the owners was great and Missy was responsive to our needs and requests. Can’t wait for the next opportunity to rent from them again!

Stunning & Serene Oasis with Everything you Need!
If it's relaxation and serenity you're looking for, this is the place for you! This property is absolutely amazing and the grounds were even more stunning in person. Missy and Steve are amazing hosts and did a wonderful job providing a comfortable experience during our stay. So whether you're spending your time sitting by the koi-filled pond and waterfall, the home's wrap around deck, or down by the dock, you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to a future visit!

Gorgeous Property - BOOK IT NOW!
Our group was highly impressed with everything about this property! Missy's attention to detail and the little things she prepared for our stay were absolutely incredible! From fresh flowers in vases inside and out, to snacks left for the kids in our party, everything was a step above any other property we've ever stayed at! Every room in the house had everything we could ever need - including the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, pool room, outside areas, etc. It made everything about our stay relaxing and stress-free, which is a rarity these days! The property grounds are absolutely GORGEOUS, and the inside was also tastefully decorated and clean. To top it off, Missy and Steve were just the nicest ever!

Peaceful location
Missy and Steve were great host! The home is pretty much as pictured. The kids were content with staying in because they had their own space, tv, and indoor pool. There is a dock to the lake and Steve treated us to a boat ride which was so nice. We grilled out one day on the patio. Sitting on the pond in the mornings is so peaceful. The house is close to grocery stores and about 15min plus to retail shopping. The kitchen is large and well stocked with everything you need. They only feedback I would give is the the pool is difficult to heat so you may want to request the heat to be turned on prior to your arrival. And we couldn’t access Netflix on the TVs because we only had the Dish remotes & not the TV remotes. I would totally stay again!

We will see what we can do about getting Netflix access on the TV's! Good idea on the pool! I can add a note in the welcome letter to turn on the heat right away if they plan on using on check in day. Thanks again!
