Emily was great with communication. Cottage was decorated really cute and it was a great view. Sitting on the porch was awesome and relaxing. It was sitting next to two houses though for those wanting more of a secluded space.

Perfect getaway

Cute, cozy little cottage. Deck with bbq pit, fire pit, kayaks, pier for fishing, swimming. Perfect get away spot with plenty to do. My family and I enjoyed our time. Host were friendly and easy to communicate with.

Amazing as always!

This was our third summer here and we loved every minute! We caught so many fish right off the dock this year. Looking forward to next summer sitting on the back porch! Great communication with the owner. She always responds quickly.

Great place to unwind

The cabin is cozy, clean, and equipped for a relaxing time. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and sitting on the back porch and enjoying the views and nature. Can’t wait to go back!

We enjoyed our stay! We booked last minute & had instant communication with owner. The camp was clean, and was just like what the description said it would be. We brought our kids and they really enjoyed the kayaks and fishing off the dock. The boat launch was just around the cove, maybe a 5 min drive. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Impressive lake

The cabin was adequate. Relatively clean except for the windows which were disgustingly dirty and barely see thru.The trash clause is silly. Note that the dump site is closed on Wednesdays (best to check the hours beforehand). There were plenty of consumable supplies in the cabin (trash bags, toilet paper, cups, soap, etc.) and bedding.There's plenty of deck space and the sunset is awesome. As expected, the mosquitoes are ferocious. The location is remote so plan you food supply accordingly.

Family Weekend Getaway

Very charming place nestled under the trees with beautiful views. Perfect for a family of 4-6. Easy check in/out. Kayaks available for use was a plus! Very quiet location. Boat landing nearby but keep in mind it is steep. Enjoyed a quick visit to a local ice cream shop, Tasty Treats!!

Great lake house! Very comfortable

Lovely cottage on the lake. Amazing porch and deck. I only wish they offered garbage service -- having to haul away the garbage is a minor hassle but otherwise a fantastic rental for the price

Wonderful stay

Fun lake weekend

Holy Toledo is nice, quiet, clean and charming place to get away for the weekend. Everything is accurate as listed and it’s easy in, easy out from HWY 191. The kids had a good time catching perch off the dock on worms one evening. Over all it’s a great place to stay!

Such a cute house in the perfect location!

This house was adorable. It was in a great location-a cove leading into Toledo Bend. It was easy to get here with the hosts directions. Check in process was very simple. Everything you could possibly need plus more with this rental. We used a kayak and fished off the dock frequently. We actually caught more fish from the dock vs the lake lol. Safe neighborhood and close to Kites Landing boat launch. Great communication with owners. Rules very clear prior to arriving to rental (trash issue so we were prepared). Would recommend! Thank you.

The Best Weekend!

Beautiful and quiet location on the water and close to gas station and store if needed. Hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had. Definitely a great first experience using VRBO and visiting Toledo Bend.

Overall a great little secluded spot

Beautiful, quiet location. Well equipped with everything you need both inside and out from grill to firepit, towels, kitchen utensils, fish cleaning area, kayaks, washer/dryer, coffee pot and more. Made it easy to move home to home for the week. We remembered reading that there were paddleboards online and were slightly disappointed there were only 4 kayaks so this may have been an update/change in the listing at some point but it didn't ruin our trip. Given the remote location, owner requires you to take trash with you to a local dump spot. We tried to do this within their opening hours and they were closed. Thankfully the owner was flexible with us to leave the trash behind since there was zero room in our car with luggage and 5 kids. Only minor complain was cleanliness of the cabin. Under drawers, beds etc needed some attention. We know it's hard to maintain cleanliness in a remote location like this with all the bugs etc that fly in the second you open the door at night so we didn't expect perfection but perhaps a little more attention to some of those neglected areas would be good.

Loved everything and had a great time!

We had a fantastic time!! Everything was immaculate. Loved the back porch with the rocking chairs and the amazing view! The host was great at communicating. We are definitely looking to make another trip! Loved everything about the house and location.
