Charming apartment

Not what we expected

We had booked this property but upon entering we immediately booked somewhere else to stay. The elevator is up one flight (of a very narrow stairway) from the front door. The elevator barely fits 1 person. The place seemed clean but there was a funky smell in the entire place. Very small fridge. Did not stay long enough in the apartment to explore further. Communication with property management was 100%. Very quick to respond. It might be fine for some, but it just was not our cup of tea

In the Heart of Florence

Location was super. Flat was charming and the kids loved the side bedroom with the loft. The loft area was great for younger and older kids. Bring earplugs for the business out the window if you arent use to city noise all night.

Excellent

We loved the location and being able to hear the live street performers at the end of the street each night. We would open the windows and relax inside to the sounds of live opera music. The accommodation were exactly as described. Plenty of room for 4 adult family members. Bathroom was large. We truely appreciated the lamps in the bedrooms having USB connectors. Close to shops in historic area and bridges. Easy to access train station and places to eat. There are a fair amount of stairs so a little challenge if you have heavy suitcases.

Home away from home

Our stay in Florence was absolutely the highlight of our Europe trip. Communication with the Barbara and Liza was seamless before and during our stay. Finding the apartment was easy with Google maps and accessing the door entry was seem less. The apartment has everything you need for a family with teens and preteens. Kids get their own space, which they loved. The window seat became our favourite place. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for making coffee and basic meals there. Bathroom has a hairdryer, shower/tub and space for your whole families toiletries. We were on a long trip so having the washer was great. In the evening we explored the books in the apartment and played some board games they had on a shelf. The apartments location in the city is great. 15 min walk from the train station and only a few min walk in any direction will get you to restaurants and touristy spots. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Bittersweet

The apartment itself was quaint. Location was great. Unfortunately there was ongoing construction in two buildings next door. Barbara claimed they knew nothing of this construction yet the building permits were not new! The jackhammering started at 7:30 am and didn't stop until 4:30pm. At around 8pm all the nightlife started and lasted until at least 4am. The bed comforter was old and stained. We stayed 8 days and were given 1 towel each. The property details were not exact. It's 3 landings up until you reach an elevator the size of a coffin. Only 1 human or 1 suitcase at a time. The 4 burner stove top only had 1 burner working. There was no oven as listed. The keyless entry didn't work, thank goodness we had a real key. Barbara was accommodating in that she helped get us a pasta pot to host our daughter's birthday we greatly appreciated that but this was not the restful escape we hope for.

Beautiful Apartment with Great Accommodations

Liked the property and location very much. One Complaint. VRBO and The property management must be more timely and transparent about the security check in and rental contract! Receiving an almost last minute request for guests pictures holding their passports from a company you have never heard of smells like a SCAM! When a reservation is made with VRBO 5 Months prior, a longer notice of this process is needed. Both myself and my daughter were traveling on business in the U.S. and were meeting in NYC to fly to Milan when security check and contract was received 1 day prior to flight. By the way, contract was not a digital fillable form. Otherwise, we loved our stay.

Three night stay in Florence July 27 - July 30

PROS: location , place was clean, clothes washer was a plus, spacious nicely decorated appartment, kitchen fully equipt, big bathroom, toiletries provided, stereo system, Secure appartment door. Safe area. CONS: first impression when entering front door of building there is a musty odour. Tight hallway -one flight of stairs to get to a small elevator. Auto/App door system Vicki was not working, Back bedrooms do not have air conditioning. Fans only. This was not advertised. Bathroom shower drain was plugged. Tub filled with water when showering.Shower head is in an awkward spot and recommend. Not enough toilette paper and towels for our stay.. Overall, would stay here

Florence-near Ponte Vecchio

We so enjoyed our stay in this lovely ancient city. The apartment was located very near the Ponte Vecchio, loads of terrific restaurants nearby. We were grateful for the many fans in the apartment as it was quite hot. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was very clean. The internet key worked very poorly. We were very glad to have a physical key to get in! The manager was so helpful and readily available. We really appreciated her timely responses!

In the heart of Florence

Overall, the apartment is an excellent spot to explore Florence. It is close to everything you would want to see. We found the apartment was well suited for our family of five. The apartment owner was accessible. The only issue for us was the check in process which required a lengthy set of pictures and documents to complete and the keyless entry. On the keyless entry, we were not always able to get a signal to send the message to open the door for the apartment. But this issue should not distract from the fact that the apartment overall is excellent and in an ideal location. We recommend it.

Excellent apartment in Florence!

We just completed a 3 night stay in Florence with our 2 teen daughters at this fabulous apartment. It was very well equipped with all that we needed and had a great European style. It is very spacious for 4 people. We had our 2 teen girls which each had a bed in the 2nd bedroom with 1 bed in a loft. They loved it. The windows are are all able to be opened with red tile views. The pictures are a great depiction of the property. There are 2 flights are stairs to get up the the lift. Just a heads up if you are looking for a lift right when you get in the main door, you do need to go up a 2 short flights of stairs first. Owner was very responsive in checked in with us throughout our stay. Location is excellent! Would highly recommend this property! Thank you again Barbara!

Fantastic location and great apartment!!!

This is a wonderful property in a perfect part of Florence to walk to everything. We really enjoyed our stay and Barbara was very responsive to questions. I will say that the code to get into the apartment is challenging because there are two options. For the first option you need internet service and the thick stone walls made that difficult in the hallway. However, they offer an alternate to enter a code on the door and that worked wonderfully once we realized we had to hit the padlock button both prior to and after the code. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend the location and the beautiful apartment! K

Location, location, location!

Centrally located just steps from the Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo del Vecchio, and all that Florence has to offer, this is an amazing property. Very cute apartment that offered everything for our family to enjoy our stay. Location can work both ways so there was some late night revelers and early morning street cleaning to deal with but chalked it up to the trade off.

Great location!

The apartment was clean, cute, comfortable and located near all the must sees in Florence. I enjoyed jogging along the Fiume Arno in the mornings too. We ate at some of the restaurants recommended by the host and they were delicious as well. Easy check in and out. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Firenze.
