    Find the utmost in privacy as well as convenience at this tree-lined home in Florence, ideally situated within a short stroll of Heceta Beach.



    This two-story home sits a quarter-mile from an access path to a peaceful stretch of Heceta Beach, a wonderful, tranquil spot for boogie boarding and beachcombing. The property itself is quiet, surrounded by beautiful coastal vegetation, and securely fenced for your dogs. In the surrounding area, you'll have great options for crabbing, fishing, hiking, and visiting such Oregon Coast landmarks as the Sea Lion Caves and Heceta Head Lighthouse.



    Walk home from the beach in the afternoons to let your dogs play on the pebbly grounds, relax outside on the small front porch, or gather around the firepit to swap stories and ease the chill of the ocean waves.



    The home's interior is bright, open, and inviting. Get started on dinner in the well-equipped kitchen, sit down to eat at the two breakfast bars, and spend the evening hours watching DVDs from the movie library and playing board games in the living room.

Private and perfect for quick trip

Smooth and easy check in process. The privacy of the property was great for our family and our dog! The house was super clean and had necessities minus groceries but Fred Meyer was less than 10 mins down the road. Beach was a short walk down 2 blocks, which was perfect. We enjoyed staying here.

A great and private space to enjoy your Oregon adventure!

We have stayed here twice and absolutely love that there is a large yard with a privacy fence. In addition, the beach is only a block away which is great. There are so many fun things to do in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed a sandboarding experience behind the Fred Meyers in Florence. I would highly recommend staying here!

Comfortable and dog friendly

The Fortress is a nice little place. Very clean, Comfortable, dog friendly, and close to lots of fun things to do. It had all the things we needed from kitchen items to crabbing gear. The securely fenced yard provides privacy and a safe place for the dog. As someone who often travels with my dog, I found this to be the most dog friendly vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in.

Great spot!

This place was great! A short walk right to the beach. Plenty of towels available as well as pillows. If I had one minor suggestion it would be to have instructions on how to use the tv and the recliner. lol. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect private getaway

We loved the tall completely fenced yard and all the puppy amenities! There is a fire pit and crab pots. It was just minutes away from the Suislaw River where we love to kayak as well! Immaculate house with three king beds (2 bdrm) and beautiful ocean life decor!

Great for a small family or a few old friends

I stayed with my daughter so two women alone for the weekend. The Fortress is just that!! We felt so safe and secure! We had a great relaxing time. The place is so private and secluded but yet surrounded by neighbors. It is close to everything in Florence. We had a great time walking down to the beach, the directions on the inside of the door were perfect, I just snapped a picture and away we went. It was very easy to find. Plenty of towels and bedding.

The Prefect Getaway

This is the cutest house in a perfect location with great restaurants nearby and the beach right around the corner. Perfect spot for one or two couples. Fenced in yard and a firepit. Pictures online do not do it justice. Will definitely be back. Turns out I know the artist of the paintings inside too! Cool!

Beach house getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here , I have two kids and two dogs and it was perfect for the beach , a two min walk and we was on heceeta beach , having the yard fully enclosed with a fence meant I could relax knowing my kids and dogs couldn’t escape . The house was lovely , clean and inviting . Got good use out of the fire pit , made s’mores which the kids love . All round perfect few days . Thank you . Oh and Florence old twin was wonderful and we visited the sea lion cave s as well which was super cool .
