European Adventure

Opera 19 exceeded our expectations. The heating was on when we arrived which was so cozy and welcoming. The apartment was extremely clean, large rooms and great bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped and a good laundry. Had trouble working the dryer as it was a washer/dryer. The owner had a folder of things to do. Couldn’t fault the apartment. The street was a bit noisy as it’s not we are use to. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Had trouble with the key when we arrived as there were 4 internal locks. Worked it out in the end. Thank you. We enjoyed Florence..

Perfect location, perfect apartment, perfect hosts

Apartment is located within the centre of Florence, easy walk to Michelangelo’s David and even easier walk to the Duomo. Close to shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay again when we return to Florence and will highly recommend to anyone we know visiting this amazing city. The “I Like Market” located right beside the front door is the perfect shop for anything you need.

Very nice accommodations in great area, close to do many things and good restaurants and shopping. The Apartment was excellent snd Carlos was very responsive to our questions! Even helped us fix a broken suitcase!! We willlook for this VRBO next trip to Firenze!

Central location, great host!

Carlo, our host, was extremely responsive and made our vacation easy. The apartment was extremely clean! Everything seemed newly renovated and is nicely decorated. The location was very close to the Duomo and within a 20 minute walk of the entire city. Anytime I reached out to Carlo, he responded immediately. For all of those reasons, I would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Great place to stay in Florence.

This property is clean, extremely well located, has all the things you need, and is exactly as presented in the pictures. Most main attractions are at most a slow 10 mins walk away. Grocery stores and restaurants plentiful and close by. The owner Carlo accommodated us arriving early and met us and let us into the apartment. Laura then took us through the registration and was a wealth of information throughout our stay. The apartment is located opposite a hospital...there are a lot of ambulances that go by at all hours, but the plus side....you are right beside a hospital! I would not hesitate to stay here again. It worked perfectly for our family.

Wonderful stay

It’s a very beautiful home to stay. Location was really convenient, few mins to the Duomo. There’s a grocery store just a couple mins walk. If anyone is driving, there’s a public garage almost next door. Make sure you drive into Florence on Sunday so there’s no ZTL restrictions. This unit has all the essentials. Two bedrooms & two bath were really convenient for four of us. Laura provided us with exceptional services. Our friends are visiting Italy next, this is one of the house we will definitely recommend to them.

Great Location and Great Host

My family of four adults really loved this very modern and clean apartment in the perfect location to see Florence! Carlo was very easy to communicate with and even accommodated meeting us someplace other than at the apartment to give us the keys so we could make the most of our time in the city. I only have two criticisms of the apartment: One, would be that one of the evenings we were here was a Saturday night, and there was a dance club playing loud, base/rave music until 4am very near our apartment! The bedroom with the two twin beds seemed to be closest to the music, so we were the ones who were kept awake. The master bedroom with the queen bed was farther away from the noise, and my parents slept well. I did communicate this to Carlo, and he contacted the police the next morning. Florence has a law that says loud music must stop at midnight, so whoever had the music up loud was "outside the law." This didn't help me recover my lost sleep on Saturday, but Sunday we had no issues. I read in previous reviews that there was loud noise from a "pub" below... but this was not just loud voices, it was the music. The other criticism is just that the same bedroom with the twin beds does not have room-darkening curtains, so it was very bright in the room due to streetlights, even in the middle of the night. Once we were asleep, this wasn't an issue, but we prefer the room to be darker. I'm sure this would be easily fixed with different curtains, like the master bedroom has. We would definitely stay here again... just hoping that it wouldn't be on a Saturday night with the club music blaring! Thanks for your hospitality, Carlo!

We loved our stay at this lovely apartment in city center!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lovely Opera 19 apartment in the center of Florence. From the time I made the reservation until check-out, our experience was superb! Our host, Carlo, was friendly, gracious, professional, and quickly responded to all my questions/concerns while I was considering renting this apartment. He was very helpful throughout our stay as we had several requests about local situations (taxi, travel, etc.). The listing description and photos are accurate/perfect! The apartment is fully renovated with all new appliances, furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc. and spacious, clean, comfortable, and safe. The bathrooms are gorgeous: the hallway larger one has ample room with a large shower as well as bidet; the ensuite bathroom (off master bedroom) is also lovely with all modern fixtures, etc. A hair dryer was provided (though if you want good drying power, bring your own because it was very small). The master bedroom has a lot of closet/drawer space for one’s clothing/accessories; the extra bedroom (two twin beds) has a desk and small walk-in closet with ample area for storage. The apartment has great lighting and also plenty of natural light since there are windows in each room. The kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities if one wants to cook (we did not) and also a washing machine (no dryer). The beds were comfortable with good linens, pillows, etc. (Just a note if you are a light sleeper: the street sounds can be loud, especially on weekends) The apartment is on the 1st floor so you have an easy and quick walk up…. A nice change from some others I have rented in Europe where we had many flights of stairs to walk up! The wifi worked wonderfully during our entire stay. The apartment is located in a great location near so many wonderful places – just a few blocks from the Duomo, Accademia Gallery, Oblate Library, and many fun neighborhoods (Santa Croce, San Lorenzo, ….). It is also a quick walk to the train station and most everything. There are small grocery shops only steps away and a wonderful selection of restaurants within a few minutes of walking. Overall, it is located in a terrific spot! Carlo and Franca are wonderful hosts and it was such a delight to make their acquaintance…. Grazie mille for a lovely stay in Florence!
