The hotel has the best view ever and 15 min from city center where you can just relax without hustle and bustle of tourist. The staff is fantastic, they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable.

I enjoyed this beautiful villa ! Near the Florence city , it is quite , beautiful garden , trees and hotel is well updated ! Unfortunately the Wifi is not covered well . Some homepages can’t be opened , they are blocked .. it caused trouble for me to excess to the stocks and others website . They definitely need to solve this problem … Audrey

Challenging to find as Apple Maps will get you close but unnervingly, not on point. Staff however came to find us and directed us to the hotel. Once there, the location was idyllic. It was peaceful with the best views of Florence. Grounds are heavenly and the pool is a relaxing oasis. Food is delicious if a little bit pricey but not outrageous for a hotel of this caliber. The Duomo view room is a must. We’ll be back.

The property itself is stunning. This is a great place to stay on the edge of Florence. Incredibly relaxing, beautiful views. The downsides are that the on-site restaurant is abysmal, the concierge is abrasive and unhelpful, and the back of house is a downright disaster. I purchased approximately 14 hotel rooms that were lovely. Nearly two weeks after my stay and after having paid about 20k dollars for rooms they have been unable to produce a folio of my charges and have been unable to explain or reduce an $8k charge that was inadvertently put on one of my guests room. While I would highly recommend the hotel, I would suggest only going with a friend and making sure you pay in advance. This hotel lacks any systems to track guests.

Excellent stay. Very helpful staff. Food excellent. Service at breakfast a bit inconsistent. We were in greenhouse suites. Lighting very dark in evening and uneven surfaces could be hazardous.

Room 27 has a glorious view towards Florence, with a back drop of the Tuscan hills and countryside. The staff are extremely accommodating and the feel of the hotel is personal rather than corporate. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property, nice large rooms, amazing attentive service and incredible views. Food was also amazing but quite expensive. It’s a bit out of town but there is a free shuttle bus.

A visit to remember
We stayed here for a week in the garden suite. The location is beautiful and peaceful . Shuttle service to the city centre every hour made it really easy to pop into the heart of Florence even just for dinner without living there . The staff extremely polite and enjoyed their work and service and food impeccable.

Trip of a lifetime! We will come back!
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Exceptionally friendly staff and accommodating in every way. In a special way that’s sincere too, and not bothersome. Which, is very hard to find. Beatiful hotel, peaceful gardens, and surroundings. Amazing view of Florence. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone and especially for a romantic couple’s getaway and a break from the busy cities of Italy.

Concerning the “bit dated” you may have this impression because of the historical building and some of the antique fixtures of the property as, as far as the actual furniture and technical equipment are concerned, the property was fully refurbished in 2018. As far as the price point goes, we fully respect your opinion but we can assure you that it is in line with similar properties in the area. Beautiful luxury resort on the edge of Florence
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful luxury resort on the edge of Florence. We relaxed by the pool and dined on the outdoor terrace overlooking the formal gardens and distant view of the Duomo and downtown Florence. The very helpful staff provide exceptional service and super-convenient shuttle into the center of Florence ensures a hassle-free visit to Florence. We can't wait to return.

Overall, this is a great luxury hotel. Building and grounds are beautiful, staff very helpful, spa is superb. First night, we were given a room with low windows and a bathroom entry too low for my tall height, but they cheerfully moved us to a room for the rest of our stay without those issues. Restaurant was very good, drinks at the bar excellent. Hourly shuttle from Florence ends at 8PM, cab fare is about 20 euro to the center otherwise. There are the quirks one must expect at a renovated older property, but the stately and tranquil environment is worth it in our opinion.

Gorgeous hotel just outside Florence
We loved our trip to Il Salviatino. It’s a gorgeous hotel in beautiful grounds. We were there when it was near 40 degrees c in Florence so it was lovely to stay outside the city up in the hill where it was cooler. We spent most our days by the pool chilling. We got upgraded to a room with a view which was so lovely- the view is incredible. We were welcomed from our taxi and offered a glass of prosecco upon arrival and given time to enjoy it before checking in. By the time we went back to the desk our bags were already in our room (even though we hadn’t told him who we were?!) Impressive! The staff in general were very attentive and never made it feel like anything was any trouble. The hotel is small so it never felt like there were too many people there. Although there was a small wedding that took place while we were there...the music was turned off by midnight. We used the free shuttle bus to go into Florence to eat every evening. Having read some of the reviews about the food/price of the food we decided to just eat elsewhere. Although the last shuttle leaves Florence at 8, we managed to always get dinner and make it back in time. If the shuttle could run till 9 it would be even better!! (A taxi costs €21 back to the hotel from town). Overall a brilliant trip! Thank you Il Salviatino

El Salviatino is a beautiful property on the outskirts of Florence. The facilities are quite lovely, including abundant public spaces indoors and out and a well-kept pool. We booked standard rooms and both rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, and well air conditioned. While the dining staff was excellent and the included breakfast buffet very pleasing, the shuttle ran less than originally quoted and this was very problematic. Transportation in and out of Florence was both expensive and hard to obtain. From the number 11 public bus stop nearby, it is only a 0.3 mile walk up a slight incline to the property boundary and we intended to use this option when the shuttle was not operating. However once on the property, there was an even longer walk up to the elevated hotel along the winding driveway. One night around 1 AM we had a knock at the door and we were offered the bucket of ice we had ordered the evening before. Overall, the inconvenience and expense of commuting to and from this hotel would prevent me from recommending it unless it was for a weekend of rest and relaxation or to a person who had access to a car. If the shuttle bus to downtown was reliable and ran until midnight I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Thank you for your notes on your stay. We are glad you did enjoy the property, the rooms and the public areas of the property as well as our F&B offering. For sure we do apologize for the issue with the delivery of the ice bucket and we will investigate on what happened. Concerning the shuttle timetable, we did not change it at all since the beginning of the season and it’s published on our website as well as in all rooms so we did not ran it less than originally quoted but for sure we will take your suggestions into consideration. We do hope to welcome you again in the very near future.

Romantic Honeymoon Stay
We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is nestled in the countryside with amazing views of the rolling hills and of the city center. It was romantic, calming and a relaxing retreat from the hustle of Florence. The concierge were incredibly helpful and helped to organize dinners and travel. The pool, spa, breakfast and shuttle service were also fantastic, well kept and reliable.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer alten Villa aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Es wurde ohne Rpcksicht auf die Kosten saniert und modernisiert und gleichzeitig wurde der Charme erhalten. Habe selten so ein schönes Hotel erlebt. Der Blick beim Frühstück über Florenz direkt auf den Dom ist unbezahlbar. Der Service ist exzellent. Wir dachten, es wäre ein Risiko etwas außerhalb zu sein, durch den halbstündigen kostenfreien Shuttle Service direkt zum Dom könnte man dem wahnsinnig lauten Truble der Stadt Florenz entkommen. Wer in der Stadt direkt ein Hotel bucht ist selber Schuld. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Hier ist einfach alles perfekt. Unsere Flitterwochen hätten nicht besser anfangen können. Wie im Paradies. So ruhig und friedlich. Das einzige, was mir aufgefallen ist sind die schlecht ausgeführten Malerarbeiten. Für ein solches Haus finde ich es etwas schäbig, wenn beim Malen nicht mal die Dosen vorher abgeschraubt werden. Sonst war alles perfekt.
