Fabulous Florence made affordable

Fantastic location for all things in the heart of old Florence. Perfect for a couple or a family of four without feeling crowded. Must be good with climbing stairs! Comfortable, clean and quaint.

Beautiful Florence ~ ❤️

This apartment in the Oltrarno district of Florence is in a wonderful location to walk about the city and enjoy many of its museums, sights, cafes & gelaterias! The restaurant, coffee shop and gelateria almost right outside your door, are all Excellent. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and we especially appreciated that, after a full day of traveling all the way from California. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay a few days or months in this beautiful city! ❤️❗️

Fantastic apartment!

This was such a perfect apartment for our stay in Florence. We’re a family of five, and the apartment had plenty of space for us. The beds were comfortable, the artwork was fun, and the apartment had everything we needed. The apartment is in a fantastic neighborhood with great restaurants and a fun atmosphere. And Rita was very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this apartment for your visit.

Location, location, location...

2 minutes from the Ponte Vecchio and within 10 minutes of all main tourist sites, yet tucked away in new and trendy neighbor hood with LOTS of restaurants and bars. The appartment is quiet and peaceful despite being so close to all the main tourist sites. Large grocery store 3 minutes away. The appartment has tall ceilings and rustic beams giving it a great old world charm yet modern and updated.

Great Stay in Florence.......

Our family of 4 stayed at this property during the Florence part of or Italy trip. The location was in walking distance to everything. The Apartment was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for all of us. The A/C units all worked well and the bunk beds were great for the kids or anyone else who does not want to sleep in the same bed. I would recommend this place...…...

The apartment is nicely redone and roomy. The building gives an impression of age, like its city. Aged very well! The location makes this a crown jewel. Dine at 4 Leoni. We did, two nights! Across the street from 4 Leoni, your morning coffee and croissant. And THE best prices. Enjoy the apartment and it’s awesome location.

Read the Fine Print

My travel companions and I had a mixed experience at Rita’s apartment. On the positive side, it was nice to stay in a less touristy neighborhood that was an easy walk to major attractions. There is a great restaurant and gelato nearby. And the apartment is spacious and well equipped. However, if you are looking for an apartment with parking onsite, this is not it. And watch out for the cancellation policy, the strictest of any property in the area. PARKING: Rita lists parking as an amenity to get search results to listing (which is how I found it). In the fine print she explains that parking is only available at garages in the neighborhood and offers no further information in the listing. That’s like listing a swimming pool as a property’s amenity but in the fine print it says the pool is down the street at a hotel where you can swim for a fee. This parking problem caused me many hours of extra research to solve. None of the neighborhood garages take reservations online. You have to email or phone. And if you don’t have a confirmed reservation with a garage that registers your car within 3 hours of entering the restricted traffic zone, you get a high fine. CANCELLATION POLICY: Rita’s policy is the strictest of any property in the area. You loose 100% of your money if you cancel even if you need to cancel many months before your arrival. I search other listings and most if not all offered a full refund if you need to cancel within a reasonable time period. NOISE: This is not something Rita may be able to control but there was enough noise coming from the apartment upstairs that my traveling companions found it difficult to sleep. Maybe the person upstairs was a temporary guest and it isn’t a chronic problem. But the person upstairs when we stayed walked so loudly, so often it woke us up from sleep.

Io vi ho soggiornato dal 7 al 10/3/2019.La proprietaria ma soprattutto la Sig.ra Lavinia (che gestisce la casa per conto della proprietaria)sono davvero gentili e sempre disponibili.La casa, molto pulita,e attrezzata di tutto il necessario, è in posizione decisamente strategica per visitare la città. Il locale bagno è però minuscolo e molto sacrificato ,soprattutto il locale doccia(separato dal bagno): è piccolo ed è veramente difficile regolare l'acqua( o ci si scotta o ci si ustiona). Certo trattasi di una casa d'epoca ma , considerando che viene affittata a turisti che quando tornano a casa desiderano più che mai una doccia per riprendersi da lunghe giornate faticose in giro per musei e chiese, credo si debba porre rimedio a questo sgradevole inconveniente.

Lovely apartment; wretched odor

Rita’s apartment was charming, well supplied with towels and bedding, and comfortable, but the odor of sewage that filled the stairwell and the cortyard was nauseating and never went away. That did annoy us so we tried to stay out and gave up eating in the apartment.

The apartment was especially in a good location to explore Oltrano. Crossing a nearby bridge brought you close to Ponte Vecchio, Santa Croce, Medici castle and more. The apartment is comfortable, clean and quiet.

Quaint place in oltrano district

This is a beautiful apartment in the heart of the Oltrano district. Walking distance to all the sites and plenty of amazing restaurants and gelato place just 2 min walk away. The property is as described so make sure you read the description. The shower is extremely small. There is air conditioning in all the rooms and it worked all the time which was a plus. Washer also worked extremely well. Livinia is the lady who checked us in and was very helpful with local recommendations on eateries and the market.

Amazing Accommodations!

This apartment was just perfect during our visit to Florence! Great location, quiet and safe and very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and having the shower in a different room from the toilet was convenient with 4 adults. Communication from Maria was outstanding and shehelped to arrange our taxi ride to the airport at 4:30am. We were able to do laundry and while the AC in the living room wasn't the best, the AC in the bedrooms worked well and kept us cool at night. Highly recommend this apartment during your stay in Florence!

Perfect Firenze Apartment

5 Stars for a gorgeous apartment. We loved everything about it! Did not feel like a tourist trap but a real chic Firenze apartment! The location is so lovely, the apartment itself is so very very pretty -exactly as shown! Large master bedroom, lots of storage, beautiful kitchen. Hair dryer, washing machine, beautiful decor, and amazing kitchen with everything you need! Communication with our hospitable liaison Lavinia was perfect! She made our arrival & departure so easy, she was very courteous and lovely ( calling a taxi for our early departure!) Big "Thank you!" to her from we girls! The location is ideal. You can walk to the Ponte Vecchio in a couple of minutes, yet the apartment is located on a quiet little lane just off the main street. We felt 1000% safe, welcomed and a part of the neighborhood. Lovely shops and delicious local restaurants nearby, "Ristorante Mama Gina" was our FAV - get the namesake cannelloni! There is an amazing restaurant just a block away serving up (VERY FRIENDLY) delicious (big American or Italian/French ) breakfast - the scrambled eggs were from heaven, (after being in the Tuscan countryside for a couple of weeks scrambled eggs for breakfast was an awesome surprise). It was an open air cafe that looks like it's just for pastry & coffee - but DO try it! Back to the apartment: I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment. The only warning I have is meant for Americans: DO NOT be a typical tourist and OVER pack!!! Free yourself from our typical mistake of lugging huge suitcases! DO rent a lovely apartment, such as this, with a washer and save your back. :-) Less is more in Europe, in terms of getting around and really enjoying yourself! Any apartment with a view, really any apartment worth staying in, has stairs and no lift. That is European charm and it should be embraced, not complained about. :-) We LOVED this flat!
