Excellent location, lots of shops and restaurants with easy access to attractions. The apartment was roomy and comfortable. Good air conditioning.Read access directions carefully. We were lucky enough to receive assistance from another visitor when we couldn’t unlock the apartment, because host didn’t respond to our calls or texts.

The location is nice and central, making for easy access to many of the historical sites we were looking for. There are a lot of steps to climb and multiple hallways to pass through to get to the apartment, which was difficult with young children and large suitcases. The apartment was spacious.

Great location, dark and gloomy

This apartment has 2 bedrooms and a combination living and dining room. The couches in the living room only seat 4 and need to be replaced. The master bathroom and bedroom have no windows so it is very dark but great for sleeping. We had to turn all lights on to see anything. The bathroom has one small light. A huge improvement would be to put many more lamps in the apartment. The host responded after our frustration with the WiFi being very spotty and it did not work for half of our vacation. They sent out a technician but it took hours to fix. They said they would credit us but have not seen that yet. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of restaurants around. There is no elevator access so there are 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment. The master bathroom only has a bathtub and the one shower in the first bathroom is super tiny! Don’t drop the soap! The apartment was clean

A lovely apartment

We had a terrific stay at this charming place. The location was perfect for walking to shops, restaurants and sights. The only negative was that the Wi-Fi signal didn’t reach the bedrooms.

Lovely host, charming apartment, NO ELEVATOR

Gaia is a perfect host with excellent hospitality experience. The apartment is really charming with plenty of space to spread out in both the living room and dining table. The only issue was that we felt the listing should note the lack of an elevator which made it extremely difficult for our friends to carry their bags up the one flight of stairs. We had no issue so if you don’t then do choose this apartment but if you or anyone has issues lifting luggage up stAirs then maybe not his place. I would have given a 5 overall had this detail been shared in the listing. Recommend doing so. Other than this, no complaints.

Lovely stay!

Everything was wonderful! The host let me drop our bags off as we arrived early in Florence. The home was clean and spacious. The check in process was so simple as I could unlock the door with my phone instead of a key. The apartment is close the river and near great shopping

The best home in Florence

Another time in this wonderful town and in this wonderful home. My family likes to stay here every time we have holiday, or job, or shopping in Florence. Here we have everyhing. Home is very beautiful, comfortable, close to shops, restaurants, squares, intersting places of art... two steps and u can arrive everywhere. Home is very clean and warm. We ‘ll be back again in few time.

Great Location

Florence is a beautiful place and our apartment was ideally located to be walkable to everything. We even walked from the train station to the apartment. The beds were comfortable. The only challenges for us were the showers and lightening. One shower was so small it was difficult to use (we are average size persons) the other shower, part of claw foot tub, proved difficult to use. The overall lightening in the apartment was insufficient for us. I used a flashlight I had brought with us to apply my makeup. One set of keys was provided along with Vikey code for access. The Vikey worked intermittently during our stay.

Great location and everything we needed.

This apartment is perfectly located within easy walking distance of all major sites. It’s close to the train station so that we could walk there with our roller bags and then to most car rental offices upon leaving Florence. The interior is charming with painted ceilings, etc but also had comfortable seating, good facilities and came equipped with basics. Would definitely recommend!

Great location; access, building, and apartment problems

The property was listed as "Palazzo Strozzi" when we booked in 2018. The photos shown on-line are accurate of the interior of the apartment. This building may have been a palazzo years ago, but the run-down entry areas from the street entrance, lack of paint, poor lighting in the entry areas, the chipped flights of stairs (the elevator does not go to the apartment floor, nor was it advertised that it did), dirty windows in the elevator shaft all concerned us. We had difficulty with the electronic key (Vikey app) and help was not available as the WP store closed at 1:30 until 3:30 on our arrival date of Saturday. We were literally waiting at the big double door street entrance for about a half hour until a kind neighbor let us in the first set of doors. The second set (wrought-iron gate) was also locked and we could not proceed to go up the stairs to the apartment. Finally, Gaia's neighbor on the floor came down and let us in to the apartment. Very nice woman; but did not speak Enlish. We would have benefitted from some instructions using the various pieces of equipment - washing machine, dishwasher, television, etc. There is no clothes dryer, though it is advertised. Wifi in the apartment failed for about four days. That meant the now-working Vikey app did not work to access all three doors. Yes, we had regular keys. We went to the lobby for Wifi access. I had to contact Gaia about three times for an update or that we did not have wifi. She responded after our inquiry that it would soon be fixed. It was not fixed when we departed. The television did not have English stations (CNN, BBC) or the ability to add English subtitles. I asked Gaia for help; she was unable to assist us. She did not have or leave a listing of various channels. The interior lighting throughout the apartment was very low level which made reading difficult in the living room or the master bedroom. The master bath lighting was very poor; my husband had difficulty seeing to shave. The master bath shower curtain only went along one side of the claw-foot tub, so water streamed outside the tub onto the floor. We mopped up the wet floors. Overall, the location was terrific. The online representation of the photos is accurate.The building is run-down. I noticed the current listing name is no longer using "Palazzo Strozzi." The real Palazzo Strozzi in a museum located about two blocks away from this building. I would not recommend this apartment to my friends.

Great Location

This was the perfect place to spend a few days in Florence. The apartment is spacious and clean and has everything you need to find your way around. When I come back, I will surely stay here again if there is a vacancy.

Spacious apartment in a great location

Very nice clean apartment in a great location close to train station, Duomo, museums, Ponte Vecchio, high end shops. Bus stops right outside of apartment front door. The only problem we had was with check in since online checking using Vikey is required. We did not do it prior to leaving home and the site requires passport information which I did not want to submit on unsecured WiFi at our previous location.

Great location for extended stay

Our family enjoyed the apartment. So convenient to all Florence sights and easy walk to Oltrarno, train station, and all museums. Gaia was very responsive to questions before and during stay. To note: this is an old building so may have limited hot water for showers at times. The spacious apartment is perfect for families and has all conveniences for eating some meals at home.

Fabulous neighborhood

The apartment is right in the center of shops, restaurants and a short walk to all the main sightseeing attractions in Florence. The bedrooms are in the back of the apartment so it is quiet at night. The beds are comfortable and there is ample space in the rooms and living room. The kitchen is well equipped and although we never cooked in the apartment, would be great if you wanted a light meal. Stefano and the staff at the WP store were very helpful and stored my bags for a few hours after I checked out. My only suggestion would be to put a reading light in the master bedroom as it was quite dark to read. Wonderful property.
