A beautiful apartment with a spectacular view and location. We loved our stay. Having the Conad supermarket across the street was very convenient. They had everything and good cured meats, snacks and wine. We ate in the Oltrarno each night, which was less touristy then the central area. Easy to walk to all the museums and sites. Very nice to have our the kitchen for our morning espresso and mid-afternoon antipasta and vino. Communication with Tomaso and Sibilla was easy. Sibilla met us at the apartment and showed us around. You will love your stay at this Bardi apartment

This apartment turned out to be one of our best VRBO stays so far! From start to finish, communication with management was excellent. The bathroom, kitchen, and decor are somewhat dated, but typical of most apartments in Europe we have stayed in. Beds were comfortable.Beyond that, the location is AMAZING. I pinched myself every time I walked down the hall from the bedrooms to the living room to the views of the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno River. You walk out of the building, and a quick walk across the bridge puts you in the heart of Florence. Every evening we listened to beautiful music being played on the bridge. We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay!

An amazing apartment steps from Ponte Vecchio

A beautiful and spacious apartment with stunning views of the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio. Just minutes from shops, markets, and some of the best restaurants in Florence, the location couldn’t be better.The host met us at check-in, gave us a thorough tour of the apartment, and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

Perfect Location - Walking Distance to everywhere!

We really enjoyed our stay at the apt. Tomaso and Sibilia are great hosts and the AC was such a life saver to compact the heatwave - this made our entire stay so comfortable. The apt is very quiet. The high ceilings made the entire apt feel spacious even though it’s not a small place to begin with. There’s a kitchen that has everything except kitchen towels and mittens, but we made it work regardless. This is the place that you want to stay in Florence. We highly recommend Th is place and will stay here again for our next visit!

Can't Ask for More

We loved our lodging! The view of Ponte Veccho and the location just off of that landmark added magic to our days in Florence. Bedrooms were spacious, the bathrooms had great showers, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We had plenty of towels!!! This is a detail often overlooked by host, but not here! Thank you for everything!

Bridge and tower views

I could look out the living room window all day. The tower and bridge are in perfect view of the windows and the location is spectacular. Everything you could want was in walking distance, and the cutest bars and yummies gelato were right out the front door.

Great location

Location was great - walk to everything but quiet. I think apartment had been used as a student rental and there was too much "stuff" in the kitchen. Mismatched bowls, pots ... who needs a martini shaker in a vacation rental. Coffee maker was broken (we did out best with it). Apartment would be 5 stars if they got rid of kitchen junk and just had a few good items that people will actually use.

Nice Views and Location

Positives - thoughful hosts, great location, ample size, good beds and good airconditioning! Negatives - Very dated furnishings, no clothes dryer(!), tv not connected to wifi or cable (we didn't travel to Florence to watch TV but it is nice to wathc a movie togehter after a long day of site seeing, plus in this day and age it's pretty basic, especially since it was a smart tv and there IS WIFI). Overall very satisfactory but it scrathes the surface of how nice it could be.

Excellent

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location. You can easily walk to all the main sites in Florence's historic centre and there are ice cream parlours, cafes, restaurants and a supermarket just minutes from the front door. The apartment itself is very spacious and beautiful - we didn't want to leave. My only slightly negative comment is that we could not work out what to do with the rubbish! Although there is information about how to separate it (which we did) you are then supposed to take it on a daily basis to large underground bins. There is a map showing the location of the bins around the city but there did not seem to be any near the apartment and we didn't really want to be walking round sightseeing with bags of rubbish in the hope of spotting the bins. The only underground places we saw were car parks, not bins, so perhaps some instructions about exactly where to find the nearest bins would help future guests.

Wonderful Stay in Firenze

We had a wonderful stay in Firenze at the Bardi Apartment. The location was amazing - so close to everything with a beautiful view of the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno. Although it was so close to many tourist activities, the apartment was very quiet. It made it so easy to relax after days touring Firenze.

Fantastic place

I say was wonderful if I had any criticism at all, it would’ve been if it was no top to the coffee pot other than that the place was truly exceptional. The views the service the care of the owner. We’re all great well done next time in Florence, I’ll be back.

Great location and communication

We needed a place with easy access as both the MIL and my spouse have mobility issues. The elevator was tiny but worked just fine for getting up two floors. While the apartment is spacious, door widths can be small and the shower stalls are definitely one person at a time Tomaso and Sibilla were quick to respond to our request for more toilet paper and a replacement for a broken hot water pot. Sibilla made an extra trip with those supplies and the largest roll of paper towels I've ever seen. She also brought napkins and paper plates, which we had not requested but appreciated. Bring washcloths, dishcloths and drying towels as none are provided. There was a useful map and other information. An instruction manual for the washer/dryer combo would be great, as we had never used such a machine before. It was great to have and we used it numerous times during our stay. The location can't be beat. There's a grocery store across the street and more restaurants and gelato shops nearby than you can visit in a week's time. The Ponte Vecchio is next door and many sights are within easy walking distance. An unexpected treat was the Tour de France began in Florence while we were there and we had a great view from our bedroom window of the riders crossing Ponte Vecchio! I docked the cleanliness one star, though the cleaners were there when we arrived. They need to clean the dead gnats off the living room window sill and dust the doors. Other than that, it was perfection.

Great location and nice views

I stayed with my 2 sisters and uncle and there were so many great things about this apartment. Spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and living room. The views are amazing and we found ourselves at the window often, watching the boats go by. The locked gate to the building as well as the locks on the door made it feel secure. It was very quiet, and the host provided good communication. Mainly used surfaces very clean. The full grocery store across the street was a huge plus for us as we cooked many meals in. Few things that could be improved: Tea water heater is still broken, phone did not work. Basic operating instructions for the appliances and the main shower would be helpful as very different from what we were used to, but we eventually figured everything out. Be prepared to purchase tea towels/dish cloths, extra trash bags, dishwasher soap/detergent, laundry soap, paper towel etc. They were not promised, or expected based on the previous reviews so I am okay with that but most places I have stayed provide all these supplies. The dining table is low so my tall uncle could not sit up to the table. The apartment is due for a deep clean of the walls, doors, floors. Overall though, we were happy and the apartment suited our needs.

Spacious Quiet Ideal location

This gem is located right at the base of Pointe Vecchio, with a beautiful view of the river. Yet it was quiet. The beds were comfortable. Tomaso allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. The kitchen was great and allowed us to eat in when we wanted to. There were a few improvements that should be made to the kitchen: the microwave did not work, and the tea water heater only worked if you kept your finger on the button. It would have been really nice to have at least one towel for the kitchen, and some extra bags for the trash, especially since the property manager expressed that the garbage should be taken out often. But overall, I would definitely stay here again.
