This was THE BEST travel experience I have ever had! Alessandro’s beautiful apartment was my home away from home for a month and I DID NOT want to leave! The location could not have been better…..we walked everywhere, every day, including back to the apartment for a rest break. We would throw the windows open to the incredible, peaceful gardens and listen to all the birds and church bells, before heading back out to find a new aperitif and dining spot in the fabulous Oltrarno district! Alessandro was above and beyond a 10-star host….5 stars are just not enough! From the moment I reserved, he was great with communication, always timely with responses and never leaving me hanging. We arrived to an impeccably spotless apartment with a beautiful care package, and during our stay were even surprised . with beautiful, wrapped pastries left hanging on the front door! He even took care of getting our cabs ordered when it was (sadly) time to leave. I will be forever grateful for this beautiful experience and to Alessandro for all he did to help make it that way! My daughter and I will DEFINITELY be going back to stay in this beautiful apartment when we go back to Florence❣️

Pure Italian Heaven

Alessandro was a perfect host, part of the time I was there by myself and he was so helpful and got back to me right away. The garden area off the bedrooms was spectacular, wild limes, and pomegranate could see from the patio. I just sat out having a glass of wine and listening to the bells ringing. I highly recommend it if you’re going to see the real Italy, it’s not in the middle of all the tourist mob down by the Duomo. It’s in a neighborhood with fantastic restaurants and a short walk up the hill to the Piazza Michelangelo.

Unbeatable

This apartment was exactly what I hoped for my family of 4- and it surpassed my expectations! It is perfectly located on the Oltrarno - a historical hub of artisans, artists, craftspeople- with easy walking access to any of the major and minor attractions. From stazione SMN with luggage, I would recommend taking a cab. Honestly, you would find a wonderful sampling of things to do (incl. foods and history to digest) if you never crossed the river. Our faves: hilly walks with incredible views beginning right behind/near the apt, toward san miniato, forte di belvedere, piazz.le michelangelo, etc; churches/piazzas of santo spirito, carmine, giardino do boboli: many other galleries and museums. And then, when you have had enough of city energy/people/noise (and because seeing so much beauty all around you can be a lot to take in), you can retreat to Alessandro's idyllic terrace pictured in photos, to reflect on it all. It is lush, green, fragrant, clean feeling- perfect! His place has several little spots, inside and out, to take a moment and enjoy 'living in Florence' for a bit. In the summer, remember to close everything down to keep cool inside (no AC). Alessandro was a great host! His attentiveness and generosity was felt in every moment, from communication and welcoming wine/Moka coffee to the trust he places in his guests' appreciation and care of his artful, elegant but very functional haven. The best of Italian hospitality. Thank you so much, Alessandro!

The host was very communicative and helpful. He told us about current local events and helped us by calling a taxi to our next location. The place was clean and outdoor areas were beautiful. Wonderful!

Our stay in Alessandro's place was wonderful. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood. It looks over a garden so it is very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was good and it was very clean. Frankly, we were not there much, but it was a lovely place to come back to and rest. Alessandro is a very helpful host and he aims to please. He left us a bottle of wine and chocolate and nectarines for our arrival. 2 days later he dropped off fresh pastries and coffee for us. He was available and willing to give us travel advice. My only regret is that the timing was off, so we could not meet in person. I would definitely recommend this place! Thank you, Alessandro!

A great place to stay

The location of this property is fabulous. We were just a short walk away from most places that we wanted to visit in Florence. I was a little uncomfortable with the thought of using the Vikey remote key system at first, but it was really easy to use. The apartment itself was very comfortable and homey. Alessandro was an excellent host—ready to answer any questions we may have had. He delivered delicious bakery goods to the apartment twice. When it was time to leave, he helped us with our luggage and even ordered the taxi for us. We had a wonderful stay here, and would gladly stay here again if we ever return to Florence.

Excellent location - beautiful apartment!

Alessandro was a wonderful host. Speaks English and is more than happy to help with you anything you need. He provided several food and wine items for the kitchen, very generous. The apartment is in an excellent location about a 10 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio. It is a very quiet street and no night noise. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. The terrace is lovely and faces the Bardini gardens. Lush and green with lots of birds - it's magical. The kitchen is very small and in need of some upgrades. It's sufficient for small meals, but would be difficult to make a big dinner. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Firenze!

Fantastic Home with Hospitable Host

Out of 6 different rentals on our recent vacation, this VRBO rental was the best of them all- for many reasons. It was impeccably clean- the same level of clean that I keep my home. This made us feel like it was a safe place to relax & unwind after a long day. The home provided plenty of space for our family of 4 with 4 carry-ons & 4 small suitcases. The bus stop was a short walk away (fyi- Florence doesn't have an underground metro/subway) and it was quick to get into center city. The neighborhood felt safe and was in a beautiful area. The shower is a tiny bit bigger than the other the other typical European showers we encountered, so that was nice. There are a few steps before accessing the building's elevator. This wasn't a problem at all for us but is something to keep in mind for those who are unable to go up a few steps (maybe about 6 or 8, estimate?). While our stay was short (2 nights), the home had everything we needed: plenty of linens, towels, bath supplies and even snacks/food. We felt like we were long-lost family whom Alessandro was welcoming back home. He communicated well and promptly before and during our visit and helped with our luggage on checkout day (despite it being early in the morning). Our only regret was that we didn't enjoy the home more during the daytime. It would have been wonderful to relax and enjoy the absolutely beautiful patio/garden/balconies. We would absolutely come back and stay here. Thank you Alessandro!

Perfect Location

The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. Alessandro was an exceptional host! The location was great with so many sites, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Bustling during the day and peaceful at night. The only glitch we ran into was the check in process as it was electronic through my phone which did not have great service. Other than that 5 stars!

Amazing place to stay

Our host alessandro was awesome! Helpful and hospitable. Left wonderful baked goods on the doorknob. The location was perfect. Nice neighborhood with restaurants and a few shops and a short walk across the bridge to the heart of Florence. Wish we could have stayed longer.
