"The staff member who met us with the keys to our room was lovely informative and helpful. The room was clean with plenty of towels . Room with a view of the sea . Had a tasty meal in the bar again served by friendly chatty staff . Breakfast was freshly prepared vegan veggie options . The cook made us feel Welcome ."

"Downstairs in the pub and restaurant i cannot fault it, the place is well maintained and clean. The bar is well stocked however it was very busy with only one staff working. Food was excellent and a great variety of choice. Breakfast was limited but the full English was brilliant. Upstairs really needs a refurbishment, the rooms are dated and tired, having said that it was clean and water/ coffee refreshed each morning."

"The hostel is cozy, located close to the lake, and within a short drive or a hike from Scafell. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. There is also a kitchen which can be used to cook your own food. The staff are all very friendly."
