"After a week camping in awful weather, I wanted to get a place whilst I met up with some old friends, I booked this place on line, and I'm so glad I did! It was very comfortable, clean and very well equipped, the owners are very friendly, and have done a great job in renovating the building into a 5 star accommodation, would highly recommend it"

"The Cottage was ideally located for lots of adventures and had a very homely feel. The Cottage has the benefit of off road parking and because there are really good amenities in Braithwaite together with the fabulous walks from the door ranging from a Wainwright to a gentle stroll around the village we didn't use the car. We particularly enjoyed the walk up Barrow and Outerside with our dog Toby. I'm sure we will be staying again."

"Byways is a really lovely, cosy, well-equipped cottage in an excellent location just a few minutes' walk from Keswick Town centre. It's also close - and this is especially great if you take a dog with you - to a really nice park by the river. We unfortunately had to cut our stay short because of illness (mine), but we're very happy indeed in this excellent cottage. It was dressed nicely for Christmas (we were there the week before) and the gas 'woodburner' had us feeling extremely cosy indeed."

Only quibbles are having to adjust the heating constantly if you're not out all day ( not likely in February) and would have liked instructions on how the locks work!
