Mostly great!

The view was great, the neighborhood was very nice. The house was spacious and comfortable. It was a little further from town that we wanted. There was some room for improvement with the linens and the mattress quality. Some of the linens had a smell and there weren't enough for 4 people over 3 days nights. Some in our group would have preferred blinds/curtains in the main living areas.

Great mountain place on the river

My family and I had a great stay. The house is right on the New River and within 20 minutes of both Boone and West Jefferson. The place has a great view of the river and mountains. The neighbors are very nice and the surrounding area is wonderful. The kids were able to fish in front of the place and nearby at Todd Island. We recommend staying here!

Loved this location so close to Boone. We were not expecting to be at the house much, so we weren't looking for anything fancy but this home exceeded our expectations by far! This home was extremely clean, comfortable, bright and spacious! Better then the pictures depict.

Everything was wonderful! the home was clean and just what I was looking for! Very private and relaxing. Only thing I would have liked to have was a swing- 😉 but the area is absolutely gorgeous!

Love the location

Perfect for family or a romantic get away. This place sits right on the New River and just a short drive from Boone. The kids loved tubing and fishing in the river. Soon as we got out of the cool waters we built a fire and roasted marshmallows. House was clean and we kept. We are looking forward to staying again.

Great property, by the river, large kitchen/dining room with lots of cooking utensils, cups dishes, etc. Large master suite and bathroom. Weather kept us from using outside deck, fire pit and river. This would be a great June thru August VRBO.

Good family fun

A great getaway place with family. 15 minutes driving to nearest Food Lion. 20 minutes driving to Boone. You're a bit isolated out there. But the fire pit, the ducks, and deer in the early morning make it all worth it. Buy your firewood at Food Lion on the way in. Or do what we did and bring it from home.

Girls Trip

This was a great spot. We wanted to visit Boone and Blowing Rock. The location was perfect. Not too far away from the towns and still a beautiful neighborhood atmosphere. We felt very safe and the property was just fabulous. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic vacation

Our family enjoyed a fantastic vacation in this cabin. The area was peaceful and quiet. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. There isn’t much of a cell signal, which was actually really nice to unplug! There is ample WiFi if you need it. My husband enjoyed fishing every day. The kids enjoyed playing in the river and I loved the big jacuzzi tub. The house is nicely centered between West Jefferson and Boone. We visited both towns a few times during the week. We absolutely loved this house and hope to rent it again!

We enjoyed the cabinvery much. The location is great. We have rented cabins for 20 plus years & the kitchen was the most well stocked we have ever stayed in. My husband loved the Weber grill & now wants to buy one. Only one negative I can say is, the property was rented as "no pets" & yet, dog poop bags were supplied. This would be very bad if people had allergies.

Best Home We Have Ever Rented

I cannot say enough about this property. I have rented many vacation homes all over the country and this property was by far the best of the best. You could not have asked for anymore. The kitchen was fully stocked and so was the entire home. The king bed was a dream! The neighborhood is very relaxing and quiet. We really enjoyed our trip, thank you to the owners for a great vacation.

Relaxing stay!

The home was lovely and the setting by the river was so relaxing! We toured Boone and Blowing Rock. We hiked every day! Banner Elk winery was beautiful and relaxing too. We went to Hebron Falls. It was a lovely hike to the waterfalls. We tried to eat at the Peddlin Pig and they ran out of BBQ ;) We were able to find another nice restaurant in the area though. We also enjoyed a hike around Price Lake. We loved our stay! We do wish that the outdoor grill was able to be used. We will be back!! 🤗
