Modern Mountain Cabin in Forest near Lake Mary - Pets OK

Scout's Hideaway, an off-the-beaten-path cabin, is a great place for a wilderness retreat. Located in the Coconino National Forest, the cabin is walking distance to the meadows of Lower Lake Mary and just a few miles drive to the water in Upper Lake Mary.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom space. Your cabin has its own fenced yard and a dog door, so well-behaved pets are welcome. You'll be surrounded by trees in the Coconino National Forest, but only 15-20 minutes to downtown Flagstaff.

Escape the Phoenix heat! Historic downtown Flagstaff (10 mil), Bearizona (38 mi.), Walnut Canyon (21 mi.), Sunset Crater (31 mi.), Lowell Observatory (11 mi.), NAU (8 mi.), and the Grand Canyon (~90 mi.) are some of our favorite attractions. In the winter you can sled and ski at nearby Arizona Snowbowl (17 mi. to basecamp).

There's a hiking path behind your cabin created by elks walking to Lower Lake Mary. Relax in upgraded bedding, Cuddledown duvets, and fluffy towels. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is a washer and dryer.

Two dogs are allowed, subject to a $60 per-stay fee when paid with reservation or $75 after arrival. Please contact the hosts in advance if you plan to bring more than one dog or another animal. Guests are asked to pick up after their pet in order to deter animals and for the benefit of future guests.

Located only 10 miles from downtown Flagstaff and its shopping and dining. The cabin has high-speed satellite internet. No parties and no campfires allowed, regardless of weather and forest conditions.

The last four miles of road to the property are unpaved, so the property may be unavailable when there is heavy snow or mud. If the roads are impassible and the cabin inaccessible, we will let you know as soon as possible and provide a full refund if you decide to cancel (advance approval required). Please use the driving directions you will receive, as smart phone maps tend to take you onto closed roads.

Please note there is a floodlight camera used solely for safety/access purposes and to monitor weather/driveway conditions. They are not otherwise monitored.

If you are traveling with other families or need extra room, we have three total cabins on our tree-filled, secluded ridge. All offer privacy but convenience if you're traveling with a group or with other families. Are you having a small event (retreat, family reunion, small wedding)?
