We had great skiing at Silverstar and liked to come back to the cottage after skiing all day. It was very cozy inside with the fire and watching a movie while it was freezing outside. The cottage was great, the view was amazing! We went to the store two nights and it had what we needed. I'll come back to this cottage next year.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the cottage over Thanksgiving weekend! We loved the view of the lake and saw some beautiful sunrises, it was a great way to start the day. The place was exactly as pictured and was very clean upon arrival. There was plenty of space for us to relax and get some studying and work done. We made a full Thanksgiving dinner, turkey and all, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. My family also took advantage of the ATV trails in the forest behind the resort, it was extra pretty in the fall!  The host was great and provided quick communication whenever we needed him and his recommendation of getting groceries delivered to the cottage made the trip even easier. I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a nice family trip or a girls weekend!

The kitchen was well stocked and very easy and comfortable to use, this describes the entire cottage. Its exactly as shown in the pictures. We had a rain day and spent it inside, the fireplace was cozy, we logged into our own streaming TV accounts and watched movies.The lakeview is amazing and we liked to walk the resort. The local store was great.

We had an amazing time at this cottage! The place was spotless when we arrived, and the kitchen was impressively well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and dining in. The brand-new dishwasher was a great touch and made cleanup so easy.We loved spending time on the deck, morning coffee in the sun was perfect and having a drink and talking as we prepared and than ate dinner was very nice. — the barbeque worked perfectly and the view was absolutely stunning. The resort itself had everything we could ask for, making our stay comfortable and relaxing from start to finish.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and scenic getaway. We’d definitely stay here again!

The property was beautiful, great views. We are two adults two teenagers. The house was equipped with only two bath towels. They had adequate Small towels and face cloths six of each. Patio had many screw heads sticking up and I ended up cutting my foot. That’s how I found out. We also had to by more toilet paper. The house had two new rolls of toilet paper and each bathroom had a half roll of paper.

The location is great and has a beach and pool and playground in the community center. Great view and quiet and friendly atmosphere. If you need to go to Klowna for other activities the access road is challenging especially at night driving in a narrow road by the valley is very stressful. We stayed for 4 nights, and power gone twice for more than 3 hours each time in the morning and in the evening. We spent most of time in Kelowna and not sure about more power outage. It appears power outage is common for this area as most of the neighbors had power generator and i was told by people working there that this is routine. We had issue with hot water and cooking due to power outage. Not adequate candles or lights were available to use during power outage at night.The house has two bedrooms and not 3. The 3rd bedroom is actually a bonus room and is open area. The fan over stove was not working and the dishwasher was not properly cleaning the dishes. We had to wash the dishes by hand. Washer and dryer were good.The house in general was clean and adequate towels, paper towels and bathroom tissue were provided. Air conditioner was working well. The owner advertises the house for sleeping 8 people, but based on the furniture and other stuff only 6 people can be comfortable there.Be careful of using chairs in the deck. The joints of wooden deck is wide and chair legs may simply go into joints and you may collapse. Not good experience with Vrbo, I don't recommend Vrbo.

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. The beds were comfortable, cottage was clean and view amazing. The dishwasher wasn’t cleaning the dishes so we needed to hand wash but apparently a new one is being installed. It’s 40 minutes to Kelowna or Vernon but has lots to offer on site, convenience store, dinner, pool, mini golf, playground, dog beach and play structures in the water. The host Garnet was very responsive and helpful through our stay. We enjoyed our mini holiday!

Lovely family accommodations

The cottage was roomy for our family. The kitchen was equipped well enough to prepare and enjoy meals together. There was a good supply of cleans towels and linens. It was handy to have laundry facilities when travelling with wee ones. The community was quiet to enjoy autumn walks with the little ones. I’m sure during the summer months there would be many more activities to enjoy at the resort. It is a 30 minute winding lakeside drive to Kelowna which should be kept in mind when making a decision on where to stay in the area. There was a boil water advisory which apparently can happen at times in that area. The host was easy to contact and answered any questions and they gave wonderfully detailed instructions for accessing the property and the cottage. They also provided information about grocery delivery should we be interested, which was a great tip.

The stay was good. It was sad that in the evening we could not watch TV as it was broken. As a family we like to watch movies, as we are not a fame type family. The house was nice. It looked like other animals had peed on the rugs. I actually went and bought carpet cleaner to try and remove the stains. My biggest issue was that there was no TV. And second the carpets could have been clean. As a nurse I like my space clean.

Beautiful spot!

Great spot to relax and enjoy the views of the lake. The resort itself offers fun things to do as well. The house is a great size for a group. I would say if you want restaurants and city life its a bit of drive to Kelowna. The resort offers kayak and paddle board rentals as well as a beach so a great place to unwind and the house views can't be beat. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Fun Lake Weekend

Our small group had a great time at Garnet’s place. La Casa is convenient for access to the lake and far enough from town that you feel like you’re away. The cabin is comfortable and well equipped!

Great Stay Great Location

This cottage made for a nice stay. We liked the front deck w lake view and the green space beside us. It’s in a good location on a quieter street and close to the trail to walk down to the beach. The cottage was plenty big enough for our family of four. Kitchen was well supplied, extra propane for bbq, and it was clean. This was the first time staying at La Casa. We loved it. The amenities are fantastic. We plan to return next year.

Enjoyed our stay here. Great deck for morning coffee and evening happy hour, has the evening shade which a lot of places have full hot sun. Has an empty grass lot right next door, great for kids to play.

Spectacular views. Many available amenities. The house was perfect for our family. Couple discrepancies: First— there was not enought hot water for 6 people. In fact after 3 people showered, we had to wait 30-45 min. Secondly- there were no instructions for trash disposal. Lastly- cooking dishes were in terrible condition. Needs updated!
