Welcome to Majordoms Llimoner 1, a renovated first-floor holiday apartment at El Pati del Llimoner, in the heart of Figueres — the cultural capital of Alt Empordà and home to the iconic Dalí Theatre-Museum. Built in 1910 and modernised throughout, the apartment sleeps up to 6 guests in 2 bedrooms, with 6 single beds and 2 private en-suite bathrooms. The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining space opens directly onto a private terrace, and an air conditioning and heating system keeps the apartment comfortable in all seasons. - Reduced mobility: Llimoner 1 is on the first floor of El Pati del Llimoner, a building with a shared lift (slow, goods-type lift). There are no steps in the entrance hall and apartment.

- In the same building, El Pati del Llimoner, we also manage Majordoms Llimoner 2 — a compact apartment for 2 guests. Worth considering if your group needs a little extra space or you are travelling alongside friends.



LAYOUT OF THE APARTMENT



Majordoms Llimoner 1 is set up for comfortable self-catering stays: fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, high-speed WiFi, and a washing machine. The apartment occupies the entire first floor of El Pati del Llimoner, a historic 1910 building in central Figueres.

- Communal entrance hall — shared with Llimoner 2 Apartment. Access from the street via an electronic keypad. Lift and stairs connect to the upper floors.

- Open-plan living, dining, and kitchen — the heart of the apartment. The living room, dining area, and kitchen flow into one another with folding glass doors opening onto the private terrace.

- Living room — two 2-seater sofas, a 50-inch 4K TV, air conditioning, and direct access to the terrace.

- Dining area — dining table with 6 chairs, air conditioning.

- Kitchen — induction hob, oven, microwave, 2 fridge/freezers, dishwasher, toaster, and a Philips L'OR Barista coffee machine. Pantry storage available just off the corridor.

- Bedroom 1 — a twin bedroom with 2 single beds (90x200 cm), air conditioning, built-in wardrobe, 2 bedside tables, and a dedicated work corner with a desk and a desk chair. En-suite shower room attached.

- En-suite shower room (Bedroom 1) — walk-in shower, toilet, sink with vanity unit and mirror, hairdryer, and electric heated towel rail.

- Bedroom 2 — a larger bedroom with 2 single beds (90x200 cm) and a bunk bed (2 places), sleeping up to 4. Street-facing with a blackout blind, air conditioning, and a wardrobe. En-suite shower room attached via sliding door.

- En-suite shower room (Bedroom 2) — shower, toilet, sink with vanity unit and mirror, hairdryer, and electric heated towel rail.

- Laundry room — separate utility room with a washing machine.

- Terrace — private terrace facing the building's inner courtyard with citrus trees. Outdoor dining table with 6 chairs, a retractable awning, and solar LED lamps.



SURROUNDING AREA



Figueres is the county capital of Alt Empordà in the province of Girona — a lively mid-sized town with deep Catalan roots and one of the most visited cultural destinations in Spain, thanks to the Dalí Theatre-Museum, the world's largest surrealist building.



Neighbourhood



The apartment is located on Carrer dels Tapis, a quiet street just a short walk from the Rambla and the Dalí Theatre-Museum. Cafés, restaurants, local shops, and markets are within easy reach on foot. The town centre is compact and very walkable.



Town (Figueres)



Figueres has a strong local character, a good food and market scene, and a packed festival calendar throughout the year. The historic centre, the Castell de Sant Ferran fortress, and a range of museums make for easy half-days of exploration between day trips. It is also a convenient base for work stays, with good transport connections and everything you need day-to-day in town.



Province (Girona / Alt Empordà)



The region is ideal for day trips in any direction: the Costa Brava coast — Roses, Cadaqués, and Cap de Creus — is 30–40 minutes by car. Girona city, with its medieval old town and excellent restaurant scene, is around 50 minutes away. The French border is close enough for a half-day excursion, and the Empordà wine routes, the Pyrenean foothills, and the La Garrotxa volcanic region are all within reach. A particular highlight is the Dalí Triangle — the three sites dedicated to Salvador Dalí: the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres is on your doorstep, Casa Dalí in Cadaqués (Portlligat) is 40 minutes away, and the Castle of Gala in Púbol is 35 minutes by car.



CLIMATE



The Alt Empordà has a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild winters. July and August are the hottest months, with temperatures typically between 28–34°C and long sunny days ideal for outdoor exploration. Spring and autumn are pleasant and quieter — temperatures between 14–22°C — well suited to city visits, day trips, and active stays. The area is known for the Tramuntana, a strong north wind that creates excellent conditions for sailing and kitesurfing along the nearby Costa Brava coast, particularly around Roses and the Gulf of Roses, one of the top destinations in Europe for wind sports. Winters are cool and calm, rarely cold, making the apartment a comfortable base for off-season retreats.

The open kitchen includes an induction hob, oven, microwave, 2 fridge/freezers, dishwasher, toaster, and a Philips L'OR Barista coffee machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with at least 2 full sets of cutlery and crockery for all guests.



For laundry, a washing machine is available in the separate utility room.



Heating and cooling are available throughout the apartment. Air conditioning is available in the living room, dining area, both bedrooms, and the corridor. The same system provides heating during cooler months.



The living room has a 50-inch 4K TV. Both en-suite bathrooms are fitted with electric heated towel rails and hairdryers.



High-speed WiFi is available throughout the apartment.



The private terrace has a retractable awning.

ACCESS & PRIVACY



Majordoms Llimoner 1 is rented as an entire holiday apartment for your exclusive use. All spaces within the apartment are private to your group.



The ground-floor entrance hall of El Pati del Llimoner is shared with Llimoner 2 (also an Els Majordoms apartment). A keypad on the street door controls access to the building. A key box located on the first-floor landing just outside the apartment door holds the keys for guests — full instructions and codes are sent on the day of arrival.



Guests check in independently using a key box at the entrance — no need to wait for anyone. Full instructions, door codes, and arrival details are sent on the day of arrival.



The laundry/utility room within the apartment is available to guests for use of the washing machine. A garage on the ground floor is not currently accessible to guests.



GETTING THERE



The nearest airport is Girona–Costa Brava (GRO), approximately 55–60 km from Figueres, with car rental options available on arrival. Barcelona El Prat (BCN) is around 140 km away.



Figueres-Vilafant station is served by high-speed AVE trains from Barcelona (approximately 55 minutes) and from the French border. The town centre is a short taxi or bus ride from the station.



A car is recommended for day trips to the Costa Brava coast and surrounding villages, though the central location makes Figueres itself fully walkable.
