The house is exactly as advertised on the website. More than enough space for a family, it feels more like a home than a holiday apartment, which is very nice.However, there is only air-conditioning in one bedroom, the rest is very hot. Also the cleanliness can be better.

Wonderful Farmhouse Stay

Daniele was a wonderful and extremely helpful host. We messaged many times prior to our visit as well as during the stay. We used the farmhouse as our hub and took advantage of the local trains to day trip to Florence and Rome. The pool was a highlight. We enjoyed cooling off in the water and soaking in the beautiful surroundings. The home provided us with an authentic Tuscan experience. Thank you - it was a fantastic holiday.

Wonderful vacation!

Our host Daniele was very helpful, incredibly responsive, and knowledgeable of the area with great recommendations for food, travel, and experiences. I strongly recommend following his lead because it greatly enhanced our experience. The pool is perfect for a family and even better than the photos. The location is convenient to reach many Tuscan cities by car and experience so much during your stay.

Glorious Tuscan stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days in Tuscany. The house is well placed for exploring the area and rural for peaceful days by the pool. Daniele was a great host leaving us a welcome package on arrival and on hand to answer questions but never intrusive. The house is clean and spacious with all you would need for your stay. We would definitely recommend.

Leider enttäuscht

Ruhige Lage, passable Anbindung. Die letzten 500m sind stark steinig und nicht mit jedem PKW einfach befahrbar. Daniele hat uns freundlich empfangen, war aber kurz angebunden und stark von sich überzeugt. Das Haus hat uns zuerst schockiert. Die Gartenmöbel am Haus sind stark verwittert und kaum nutzbar. Alle Toiletten waren verschmutzt und wir mussten "nachputzen". Daniele konnte sich das nicht erklären. Viele Möbel im Haus wurden notdürftig repariert. Eine Duschkabine und der Trockner sind schon länger defekt. Im Haus haben wir über ein Dutzend Kakerlaken gesehen, trotz 3 Fallen. In einem Schlafzimmer geht das Licht nicht, weil der Stromkreis dort Kurzschlüsse verursacht. Den Grill mussten wir selbst reinigen. Als wir darin 3 Wespennester fanden, bat Daniele Hilfe an. Der große und saubere Pool war toll. Er ist aber bis zu 2,5m tief und hat ein plötzliches Gefälle. Am Rand gibt es keine Haltemöglichkeiten, somit nicht (Klein-) kindertauglich. Die Gartenmöbel am Pool sind auch marode. Wir mussten diese per Schlauch abspritzen, um sie zu nutzen. Dabei fanden wir noch ein Wespennest inkl. Larven. Daniele tat unsere Beschwerden plump ab: "es ist ein typisch ländliches altes Toskana Haus, in der Hochsaison sind wir so gut gebucht, dass wir nichts reparieren können" Er räumte aber ein, dass seine Frau Madu mehr Augen für Details und Liebe zum Objekt hatte. Leider ist Madu 2021 verstorben. Scheinbar soll nun nur noch Miete eingenommen werden ohne zu investieren. Keine Empfehlung.

Wonderful stay in the country

We decided that we needed more quiet family time on our stay in Italy so we chose to move up our trip at this lovely house. Daniele worked with us to secure the two extra days. It was a great decision. We enjoyed the sounds of the countryside in the mornings and evenings, Church bells in the distance while we made dinners at the house after spending time in the pool. Our teenagers enjoyed their own rooms and bathrooms - space after traveling together for almost 12 days at that point. Daniele was an excellent host with many helpful suggestions — places to eat, little known and excellent wineries, olive oil farms to visit, grocery stores, cafes. He even guided us to one of the restaurants, after making a last minute reservation on our behalf, to make sure that we knew the way on the winding road up the mountain. He also checked on the train schedule to Florence for us and made sure that we knew how to secure the tickets either in person or digitally. He also shared items from his garden and had two bottles of wine and biscotti as a welcoming gift which was a very unexpected surprise. We loved our time at your home, Daniele. We will definitely return!

Just perfect

What can we say? What a wonderful host and place to stay to enjoy this part of Tuscany, or just laze by the pool. Daniele gave us lots of tips for places to go, and things to see, and could not have been a more charming host - we both enjoyed spending time with him. A peaceful place to stay in a fabulous part of Italy - we will be back!

Abwechslungsreicher Toskana Urlaub

Große Wohnung in den Bergen. Sehr viel Platz im Appartement und im Garten. Die Betten sind bequem. Unkomplizierter, hilfsbereiter, sehr netter Gastgeber. Daniele hat uns sogar mit Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten überrascht und uns bei der Reservierung im Restaurant unterstützt. Sehr genossen haben wir den Poolbereich. Es gibt dort vier Liegen und sogar ein Poolhaus mit WC und kleiner Küche. Die Ausflugsziele sind vom Appartement aus mit dem PKW gut zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in ca. 7 km mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt und unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. LG, Familie Richter

Close to Florence

Lovely countryside farmhouse offered us a place to relax in the evenings after full days of exploring Florence and many nearby cities. The place is well kept and comfortable, the pool is awesome. Communication with owner was responsive and prompt.

Pool was a life saver!

We stayed in this authentic Tuscan home off the beaten path. The host was very welcoming and knowledgeable. There was a heat wave while we were there so the pool was amazing. A short distance to the quiet train station that brought us straight in Florence. You leave feeling like you have had the Tuscan experience.

Once in a lifetime adventure in Tuscany!

Excellent Country house which is centrally located to many of the Tuscan hill towns. Daniele was the perfect host and he was very helpful with directions and recommendations for excursions. One of the excellent restaurants he recommended was Me Ma. Daniele even guided us to the big grocery store, the Coop on the first day to buy food. We cooked several nights. The house was spotless. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There was a large dining room and living room. The entry to the house was very open and airy. The grounds were beautiful and you could tell Daniele took great pride in keeping it maintained. The beautiful pool was very large and perfect for cooling off. Daniele gave us directions to the tram to Florence right off the A1 which our made visit in and out Florence so much easier. We stayed 8 nights and in addition to Florence, we visited Sienna, Arezzo, Cortona, Chianti to visit a beautiful winery he recommended, Montepulciano and Pienza. All locations were within an hour to an hour and 15 minutes away which made day trips so easy. I would highly recommend this Countryhouse and Daniele for his wonderful hospitality!

Lovely house in a great location

Perfect location for birthday celebrations for four 50/60 year old friends. A fabulous place to relax in but within easy reach of the autostrada and central to Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. Our host Daniele, was very welcoming and provided helpful advice about parking in Florence, supermarkets etc. We would love to return.

Superbasis für Familienurlaub in der Toskana

Eingebettet in der toskanischen Landschaft hat uns ein großzügiges Landhaus mit Pool erwartet. Der Vermieter Daniele, der in der oberen Etage wohnt, hat uns freundlich empfangen, alles Notwendige erklärt, war sehr hilfsbereit, jederzeit ansprechbar, hat sehr schnell kleinere Probleme gelöst und hielt sich angenehm zurückhaltend im Hintergrund. Seine Empfehlungen für Restaurants in der Umgebung waren sehr gut. Von dem Haus aus erreicht man viele Sehenswürdigkeiten wie z. B. Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Volterra in etwas mehr als einer Stunde, in Florenz ist man in knapp 45 min. Es war auch herrlich, nach heißen Besichtigungstagen in den großen Pool zu springen, unsere Jungs haben es besonders genossen.

Wonderful week at Cerchiaia

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at Cerchiaia. The home is very comfortable and the pool was quite welcome during some very hot weather. Our host was so kind and helped us navigate the area, providing restaurant recommendations, directions to the local grocery store and excellent coffee shop. It is conveniently located for day trips to Florence, Siena and Arezzo and many more. We escaped the heat one day with our host by heading to the mountains for a nice hike. One of our favorite experiences was the home cooked meal we enjoyed. I would recommend this home if you are looking for a quiet getaway with easy access to many sites in the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

Beautiful, quiet location

We had an amazing stay at this property. The weather was very hot during our visit but the interior of the house remained a comfortable temperature, and the good sized pool was a delight! Our host was friendly and helpful and shared delicious home grown produce from his garden which we enjoyed. We would definitely stay again !

Magical time in Tuscany

While the property is a bit hard to find at first you quickly get your bearings to travel to/from. A1 takes 10 minutes to get to then Florence is only 30 minutes away. We used the house as a base to travel to Siena (1:15), Panzano (1:00), Greve (1:15) Orvieto (1:30) and Lake Trasimeno (1:00). Daniele is a wonderful host who shared a bit of his bounty from his garden and had the property in top condition. We had three in our party and the property could have handled at least three more. Since it was hot 40C two days the pool was perfect. We cooked numerous times at the house after going to the COOP.IT (an amazing grocery store 15-20 minutes away). It is a relaxing place and exceptional for the price. Grazie Daniele! Tim

Toscana

Wir haben uns sehr Wohlgefühlt in der großen unteren Etage. Die große Wohnung bietet wirklich alles was man braucht, genügend Räume auch für eine größere Familie. Alles war sauber, nett eingerichtet und alle auch für eine längere Reise benötigten Haushaltsgeräte waren da. Die Reisen ins Umland waren von dort auch sehr gut zu machen da die Autobahn in unmittelbarer Nähe liegt, man hört sie eigentlich garnicht. Das Haus besitzt einen großen Garten unserer Hund konnte sich dort frei bewegen, wir natürlich auch. Man kann Wunderbar im Garten in der Sonne sitzen und abends beispielsweise den Grill der vorhanden ist anwerfen. Der Vermieter ist sehr Hilfsbereit und vertrauenswürdig. Wanderungen in die Umgebung sind auch kein Problem, man ist gleich im Wald oder auf einer schönen Wiese. Alles war problemlos, der Supermarkt in dem man alles bekommt ist ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. An dieser Stelle nochmals großen Dank an Dich Daniele, wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Super Haus zum Erholen und Relaxen mit guter Anbindung und Gastgebern

Wir durften im August eine wundervolle Woche in der Toskana verbringen. Das Haus ist ein Traum. Abseits gelegen mitten in den malerischen Hügeln der Toskana umgeben von Weinfeldern. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht. Selbst Handtücher für den Pool waren vorhanden. Der Pool ist etwas abseits vom Haus und hat ein kleines Poolhaus ausgestattet mit Miniküche & extra WC. Sogar Poolnudeln und Schwimmreifen waren vorhanden. Es gab einen überdachten Patio mit 4 Liegen. Der Pool hat eine schöne Größe. Im Haus hat man als Gast das komplette sehr liebevoll eingerichtete Erdgeschoss für sich. Die Vermieter waren sehr zurückhaltend & man hat kaum bemerkt das sie da sind. Mit Ihnen konnte man sich gut auf Englisch unterhalten & es gab für uns immer mal einen Korb mit frischen Tomaten, Zucchini & Gurken. Das Haus hat insgesamt 4 Schlafzimmer (2 Doppelbett & 2 mit je 2 Einzelbetten) und 3 Badezimmer mit Dusche, WC & Bidet. Es gibt ein großes Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, ein Esszimmer & eine Küche die mit allem Wesentlichen ausgestattet ist. Nur einen Toaster haben wir vermisst. Zum Einkaufen waren wir meist im COOP in . Dort gibt es eine große Auswahl vor allem auch bei regionalen Produkten. Mit dem Schnellzug ist man von in 30 min in Florenz. Und auch ein Ausflug nach Pisa mit dem Auto (ca. 1,5h) ist zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank nochmal an unsere Gastgeber. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit & kommen gern wieder.

Entspannte Urlaubsoase zwischen Weinreben und Olivenbäumen

Es ist sehr ruhig am Berg im grünen zwischen Olivenbäumen und Weinreben gelegen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, der Pool ist mit Liegen und Überdachung wunderbar zum Entspannen geeignet. Bis Lucca, Pisa und Siena fährt man mit dem Auto etwas mehr als eine Stunde. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Woche sehr genossen. Unser Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und angenehm. Die Tomaten aus dem eigenen Garten sehr lecker:-), vielen Dank für die schönen Tage. Liebe Grüße Melanie

Ruhiges Haus in toskanischer Landschaft

Das Haus liegt mitten in toskanischer Landschaft und bietet viel Ruhe zur Entspannung. Bei unserer Ankunft war das Haus trotz sehr hoher Außentemperatur angenehm kühl. Wir hatten mit unseren 4 Kindern viel Platz. Erkundungen der Gegend waren von hier aus möglich, wenn auch meist mit längerer Fahrzeit verbunden (ca. 1 Stunde und länger). Die Vermieter waren sehr zurückhaltend und diskret. Am meisten haben wir den großen Pool genossen. Einziges Problem dort, waren die vielen Mücken.

Extraordinary Hospitality and Outstanding Lodging

Our group of four women from the US enjoyed an incredible two weeks at this wonderful farmhouse, "Cerchiaia" , just south of Florence. The village of Figline e Incisa in Valdarno is charming and offers restaurants, fabulous cappuccino in a cafe, a huge supermarket,and a train station providing access locally to Florence as well as high speed trains to other parts of Italy and Europe. The clean and updated farmhouse was perfect for us with a well equipped kitchen, 4 lovely bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and plenty of comfortable living space for relaxing, sharing meals and socializing. We ate the grapes, pomegranates and figs growing just steps outside our door. We were able to easily access the wi-fi. Our hosts, Daniele and Madu, could not have been more gracious and welcoming. They brought us vegetables from their garden and shared their extensive knowledge of the region. Their generosity was amazing, and we will treasure the new friendships we made with these lovely and kind people. This home was all that was advertised on the website and so much more. (We did not use the beautiful swimming pool as it was too cool during our stay in October- otherwise the weather was perfect for our activities.) The property is surrounded by a wildlife reserve- very scenic with beautiful rolling hills where grapes and olives were harvested for many years. The patio was a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and admire the sunset. We drove our rental car to many charming nearby villages including Valdarno, Arezzo and Regello. We went to Florence several time by car and by train. We also took a driving tour to Siena and Sam Gimignano- beautiful and memorable trips with excellent restaurants and a wine-tasting. Our hosts cooked a meal for us - our first experience with delicious fried "squash blossoms": incredible! Our overall experience was extraordinary with the highlight being the hospitality and kindness of our hosts. This property was wonderful in every way and we plan to return. We all agreed that this home provided us with an outstanding experience. Brenda English October 2019
