Forest getaway in Fawnskin, the quiet side of Big Bear

  • Cerca del lago, esta encantadora cabaña se encuentra en el tranquilo lado norte del lago en Fawnskin, lejos de la actividad agitada, pero a poca distancia en coche de las pistas de esquí y otras actividades de invierno. En verano, el lado norte es el mejor lugar para acceder a senderos para bicicletas, rutas de senderismo y lanchas para botes y kayak.

    Dos habitaciones más un altillo con un sofá cama. WIFI gratuito y TV por cable Spectrum. La cabina cuenta con una gran terraza delantera y mucho espacio de estacionamiento fuera de la carretera. Un patio trasero completamente cercado y electrodomésticos nuevos.

    Ideal para familias, con juegos, patio cercado, trona, Play n Pack y puertas de seguridad para bebés para escaleras. La cabaña está muy cerca del lago y tiene fácil acceso a las rutas de senderismo locales y al lanzamiento de botes.

    Escápese de la ciudad y experimente estar rodeado de altos pinos y noches claras y estrelladas. Estamos ubicados en el Bosque Nacional San Bernardino, con bichos forestales, por lo que la basura debe estar asegurada.

    Estamos ubicados en un barrio tranquilo y familiar. Si buscas una casa de fiesta, esto no es para ti. Las quejas de ruido pueden hacer que se le pida a su grupo que se vaya.

Cozy cabin on a beautiful and quiet street

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It had everything to make us feel at home. There is plenty of room to accommodate a family. Very cozy and so beautiful outside.

Amazingly cozy start

Beautiful mountain snow surroundings. Very clean roomy cabin, prefect for my family of six, Near by everything, village, lake, slopes, trails Great communication with a personal touch. Can’t wait to return for the next trip

A wonderful cabin for a mountain getaway. Two stories, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen and laundry. Wood fireplace and balcony. Surrounded by tall pine trees in a quiet neighborhood. Fawnskin is Big Bear for people who don’t like the crowds of Big Bear. I don’t think our weekend could’ve been any better.

Great Place in a Great Location!

The cabin was beautiful and very clean, and we had a great time renting it! The check in process was super easy, the drive to the city wasn’t long, and the cabin gave us so many memories! Would 100% do it again.

Cute Cabin

This cabin is nestled in a beautiful location away from all the busyness of the town. We had a very relaxing few days in this adorable cabin. The property owner communicates very efficiently. The check in and check out process was very easy.

Super cozy getaway! Highly recommend

Was exactly what I was looking for! My fiancé & I really enjoyed our trip. The owner was very sweet & very easy to communicate with! The cabin was very spacious & had a warm feel to it. Very close to big bear lake, & just a short drive to the town! Would highly recommend to stay here!

The steps are steep and carrying food and supplies up-and-down the stairs was hard on my knees. Cabin had a weird, sour smell when entering or after being closed up, but after opening windows, the smell left. There seems to be a lot of rules to follow, but they all make sense when staying in a remote cabin. Sharon was quick to respond to my text messages. Had some difficulty with continual hot water dripping in tub, and CO2 monitor chirping all night. Quiet street. Nice get-away. Kitchen had everything we needed. First floor bedroom mattress comfortable. No fans available in house. Pine trees give off a fine mist of sap that got all over my car. Had to wash off immediately when we got home before it hardened. We really enjoyed our time here.

A wonderful cozy home!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, FL very cosy from the second we walked in. Using the fireplace was our highlight. The only feedback I will have is that the paintings in the house were a little creepy, and the bathroom downstairs had no heating and was very cold. Also took a little while to figure out how to turn on the lights as a lot of the lights were unplugged.

Thanksgiving family trip

Loved this property and the communication from the owners. Couldn’t have been easier, all around. Thank you Sharon for helping my family have a very enjoyable Thanksgiving trip in Fawnskin! Also we loved that this cabin was in Fawnskin, away from the city.

Great stay!

Property was well represented in the photos and description. We were so glad to have the laundry facilities and deck. Very easy to get to the lake and wonderful, quiet neighborhood.

Clean, cozy & quaint

The Sheldon’s Fawnskin cabin is a terrific little get away cabin. I was very happy with how clean the place was. The beds were very comfortable too. The neighbor is very quiet and peaceful. The view from their deck is exquisite. I stayed with my boyfriend the 1st night, then the following day our two good friends joined us. The cabin gets chilly at night but there is a fireplace and a great heater. There are tons of board games too. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Great getaway!

We stayed here as a short weekend getaway in February. Easy check-in process and it was ready earlier than originally stated. The house was cozy but a little chilly at first. The house thermostat takes a few hours to warm the house and the bedrooms also have decent wall space heaters. The beds are comfy but the pillows are a little flatter than what we are used to using. We also stayed during COVID which led to reduced pillows and blankets in the house based on safety concerns. The living room was perfect for relaxing, watching TV, while enjoying a nice wood fire. The porch is awesome and perfect to let our 2-year-old run around on. The house overall is clean but it does have heavily used kitchen supplies like cookware and utensils. We would absolutely stay here again.

Our first time in Big Bear.

Kind of what we expected. Roomier than what we acttually need for a couple with a toddler but in general a nice cozy place.

Lovely Visit

Cozy cabin on quiet side of the lake. The deck is big but could have been swept. It was comfortable overall but the heater in the bedroom didn’t work so bring a spare just in case. We ended up buying one.

Lovely retreat!

We had a wonderful stay! We came to hike and were pleased to be away from the hustle and bustle of Big Bear- although it was nice to have it within driving distance if we needed groceries (Vons is not too far away) or good pastries (Copper Q). The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and close to many hiking trails (most of the Big Bear 5). Check in was a breeze and communication with Sharon was great- she let us know that the place was ready early in case we wanted to check in earlier. The house is very homey and comfortable. Instructions for garbage and wifi, etc. are very clear. Wifi worked really well. There are two big screen tvs- but we didn't use either, so can't say much about them. The kitchen was well equipped- although we didn't do much cooking. There are lots of books and a history of the area. The deck is fantastic- we ate outside. There were lots of thick towels, the beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. We had a great stay and highly recommend it, if you want to hike and be in a quiet area close to the lake. Next time we need to breath mountain air we will be back!

Clean and perfect cabin!

We truly enjoyed our stay in big bear. The cabin was clean, has all you need for cooking and all the bath necessities. Well maintained and owner was quick to respond to questions and flexible with my need to leave a little late due to unforeseen snow. I would say the only thing I would have to change would be that there was no mention that the cabin didn’t have a dishwasher. Other than this it was perfect. Plenty of beds , bedding and games to play as well! Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the are. Only 14 min or so to the Skii slopes too!

Best place in Big Bear for relaxing

Very clean! Has great view. Love the deck! Lots of amenities. All kitchen ware included, very convenient. Neighbors are very friendly. Close to town and restaurants. You can't beat the price!! My husband and I will definitely be back. :)
