"Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. "We were looking for a convenient place to stay in Bridlington and I'm so glad we found "Salt on the Harbour". From the outside, it doesn't look like a hotel and you might have second thoughts. But inside, the rooms are very comfortable, with lovely views over the harbour. The location is perfect, with easy access to the beach, town and harbour, plus free parking is a bonus. "Lovely location. Property beginning to look a bit shabby e.g. wallpaper, chair coverings etc but comfortable. Kitchen could be better equipped if you actually intend to cook e.g. no bowls for salad/fruit/mixing; a cheese grater would be useful. We had a minor glitch with the parking permit but this was rectified very quickly by the host. Overall we enjoyed it and would stay there again."

"The flat was better than we expected! Smart and well furniszhed. A dedicated off road parking place, good facilities and a great sea view. A heated floor in the bathroom. Nice kitchen area and plenty of utensils. The owner was very helpful prior to our arrival so all went smoothly. "

"Property was quite dirty. I had to was all of the cutlery. There were grease smears on the cooker hob. The oven trays and grill were filthy. Did not use because of this. I did not receive the wifi information until 5 days into my stay. This was after leaving messages on owners voicemail. They never got back to me at all. Had to go through a customer complaints procedure with Sykes cottages to get the wifi details. No apology, just an email with a picture of the router (which wasn’t in the flat)....

"It was a traditional three bed room town house so it was more than enough for two of us but we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, quiet and very convenient to the train station, local shops and restaurants. The beach is just 3 mins walk away. The communication with the landlady was very good as well and Ruth was very helpful. We like Bridlington a lot so definitely consider to come back to this house again. "
