Perfect house, beautiful location

Three friends in our 50s stayed here for a few days of relaxation. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The area was very quiet and secluded with a nice beach access. No complaints!

A Treasure in Fanny Bay

We were delighted by the beautiful views from this cozy spot. Surrounded by ocean, mountains and forest this cottage is the ultimate peaceful getaway. It was a pleasure to watch the birds from the front window and to see the colours of the sky at dawn reflected on the bay. The beds were very cozy and the decor was absolutely charming. We would love to return and enjoy this beautiful spot again in the future.

Idyllic, charming & welcoming

What a beautiful location. The beds were so comfy, home decorated with a stunning and unique West coast style. Home was fully stocked with anything you could want - just bring your food and beverages. Deck & view beyond stunning. Great communication with host prior to stay. Easy self check-in. Our crew thoroughly enjoyed our getaway. 10 outta 10 would recommend. Thank you so much!

Sunny Shores-April 2025

The property was more rustic than expected, was spacious and quiet, in a quiet area. We were not told until after booking that there is an ant issue, and the ants were significant. We felt compelled to ensure all food was in an enclosed cooler each night.Bedrooms and bathrooms were good, but seating in sunroom was very uncomfortable.All appliances were good but the kettle did not work, and when I contacted the owner about it during our stay there was no reply.Overall, for the most part nice amenities and location, apart from the ants.

Place so nice we went there twice

Lovely home and property. Lots to look at from the hot tub and sun room. Good location to bounce off of to go on other island adventures. We used it for girl's weekend away. We loved it so much we stayed here twice. Usually we try to find new places each time.

Nice cottage but….

We enjoyed the general location but not the location of the property. At high tide the water came up to our knees and at low tide there was quite a walk to the ocean water. The view was onto vegetation across the narrow cove. Nothing compared to other places we stayed. It rained all week so that made everything negative more pronounced. The cottage it self was very good and clean.

Great Property!

Everything exactly as advertised. We lucked out and had a great snowy landscape looking out the windows. The hot tub was perfect for the cold nights. Would love to come back in the summer and make use of all the water equipment they've been generous enough to share! Location is great proximity to My Washington in the winter too. Neighborhood was very quiet.

Beautiful property, with very thoughtful touches

We had a wonderful weekend, loved the easy access to the beach and thoughtful added touches (hot tub, beach chairs, kayak). The house is stunning, well designed and with everything you could need for a quiet weekend away. Excited to come back in the summer to make the most of the outside space!

Amazing beach home in beautiful area!

Sunny Shores was an incredible home base for a group of 4 women friends on our trip to Vancouver Island. The house is very spacious with lots of cool spaces to hang out and enjoy the great views of a quiet inlet. It provided everything we needed and was comfortable and cozy with great beach cabin décor. The kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals and the deck space was a great spot for morning coffee or evening drinks. Bedrooms had comfortable beds with plenty of linens and supplies for our stay. Neighborhood was quiet and perfect for easy walks to other beaches. Very close to the highway to access other parts of the island. Owners were very responsive to a few questions we had during stay and we would highly recommend this great place for a visit.

- owner was really nice and helpful - property was as advertised - beautiful, clean, well-maintained, nice hot tub, great almost private beach, paddle boards, amenities close-by (such as raw oysters...which my wife loves ;) - 10/10 (I would give it an 11 if I could :)
